Lanny Davis wrote a book on the subject (have not read it),

Our bridges are crumbling, trains are crashing….

Thank you Michael….more evidence of the majesty and grandeur of the Trump Administration…..he hath restored your ability to see! The scales…..fallen from your eyes and those travesties hidden during the eight year reign of President Chair Warmer are now revealed to you!

How are all our bridges crumbling, Mary Wanna / MPA, when our previous fearless leader pumped 9T USD$ into all those “shovel-ready” projects?
Blocking walkers across the southern border was a campaign promise… are you suggesting a candidates drop their campaign promises, if they actually win? All candidates, or just the ones you hate?

Hey Donnie, is this a good entry point into the market? Maybe I should consider alternative investments like Bitcoin, or maybe I can short a couple of memberships at Mar a Largo. At least that woman who found an extra $1.50 in her pay check was spared the Trump Dump.
Your boy is apparently too stupid to realize that if you insist on taking the credit when the market goes up, you’ll be saddled with the blame when the market inevitably goes down. What a maroon.

“Your boy is apparently too stupid to realize that if you insist on taking the credit when the market goes up, you’ll be saddled with the blame when the market inevitably goes down. What a maroon.”
Now, now. Mr. Boardman. Me thinks you need a new pair of glasses. It don’t work that way. We take credit for when the market’s go up, and never when the market comes down. There are forces beyond our control, with reasonable explanations. The market is much bigger than one man….when it goes down. Yes, we realize that, but will never never admit it to you, coffee breath.
Now, who is stupid? Those who listened to Paul Krugman or those who raked in a smooth 34% return last year? But, if you hang in there with your bond holdings, CDs and money market funds, the increase in rates will rise soon enough. The way The God Emperor Trump has this economy clicking on most of its cylinders, the Fed will have to try to tap their foot on the brakes pretty quick. If this keeps up, they will have to stomp on the brake pedal. Oh yeah, no more quanitative easing. Not needed.
That is all good news for you and all those like yourself squeaking buy on fixed income. Yep, value investors usually arrive too early, then bail before the party gets roaring. Figured you would have a bit more cast iron in your belly. How stupid of me.
Buy when there is blood in the streets Expect a bump, then a slide for three months That’s when the all the bedwetters will have left the goodies behind as they flee for their lives to their safe places. What a nincompoop.

I await Boardman’s crickets. Just what triggered the selloff Boardman? Could it be the cost of cheap money going up? OH! the HORROR!
Your the last one here who should be throwing their 2 cents in. Forget your personal “sell off” when Trump got elected? ” I sold everything!”-G. Boardman.
Yup, the stock market had a brief selloff, then came roaring back the next day leaving you in the dust.
Again.. Just what huge cats’sassterphy did we suffer financially? Oil go to 100 bucks? 40% taxation get announced?( coming soon to a state near you)
So tell us oh wise one.

    Mary @ 12:42am.
No, the coffin nail in Hillary was her big staged coming out announcement party on symbolic Roosevelt Island or Roosevelt square. She drew 5,000 and never saw a crowd that big again for many many moons. Then she did the reset and had another unofficial official kick off. That went over like a dud. A lead ballon, worthless as tweets on a boar. It went downhill ever since. Like, do we really give a flying guck about what that old airhead slut Cher thinks or Chucky the Clown’s niece Amy thinks?
Bernie drew 20;000 in Seattle and more the next day in LA. Hillary left the DNC holding her VP nominee’ The Grinch who stole Christmas’s twin brother Kaine’s hand and headed out the next day on the march to the White House tour….starting in Cleveland, home of the 2016 RNC convention. Drew 500. They split up, Kaine going off in one direction, the Hillary bus tour of Ohio in another. She drew 350. Victory tour to DC got cancelled after one weekend. But her numbers were high, ROFLMO.
Just kidding, been pulling your leg this whole time. There ain’t one Democrat alive that could have beaten Trump.
Obama called us annoying bitter clingers on his ass. The media ridiculed the Tea Party Patriots, of which I am sympathetic to. Hillary called us Deplorables and YOU ALL called us ignorant redneck racists. Wife beaters. In-bred knickledraggers.
The Deplorables were why Trump stands alone. With every tweet, comment, and fist Trump threw, every body blow and haymaker, he had the Deplorables’s knuckles strapped to the top of his hands. So, while you guys were focused on Trump, you completely missed what was really happening….and continue to do so to this hour. Trump mopped the stage with every contentder, not matter what party affiliation they hail from.
Did love one of his latest tweets. Delivery was off, but said something like “crumbs” kinda sounds like deplorables, or “crumbs” resembles “deplorables.”
Go pound sand. And then we will reenact Ambassor Stevens last minutes on your sorry ugly behind. Have a good one.

    Re Walt’s 2:51:
The sell-off was caused in large part by fear of rising inflation and interest rates. What’s going to play a big role in making both worse in the future? The Trump tax cut, of course.
As you may recall (but prefer to forget), the tax cut came with a price–an increase in the national debt of at least $1 trillion. The government needs to finance this debt and the impact is coming soon.
It is now estimated the Treasury will have to borrow a net $950 billion in the fiscal year that ends Sept. 30, up from $519 billion. Those numbers are projected to increase to $1.083 trillion in fiscal 2019 and $1.128 trillion in fiscal 2020.
Unfortunately for the feds, the economy is strong and inflation is expected to rise in the future. Investors are putting their money into stocks instead of bonds, which means the Treasury will have to offer higher interest rates to attract investors. That, of course, will trigger more inflation.
But don’t worry, the Republicans have a solution for the problem. If they win the mid-terms, you can bet a major effort will be launched to cut Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid and other social welfare programs. As Republicans have been telling us for decades, these deficits are unsustainable.

I know that George was counting on TEAM EVIL for some much needed budget discipline and to bring a modicum of fiscal sanity to counter republican profligacy.

Of course a “bipartisan budget deal” probably just means “more spending for everyone!”

    Hmmmm….I guess not.

Maybe President Trump isn’t a puppet, or a tyrant, or Napoleon, or a fascist. Maybe he’s a wildly successful businessman who loves and understands the country and the American people. Along with that love, he shares American appreciation for, and pride in, our military.

Bessee 7:24 – “he shares American appreciation for, and pride in, our military.” I had a bone spur removed. Took about 30 minutes from getting prepped to getting on my feet. Hard to believe that Trump didn’t do the same so that he could demonstrate his love and pride for the military. But in his own words he sacrificed a lot in his own way instead of joining the troops. So I guess fair is fair.

Just the facts, ma’am. From Mr. Boardman.
“Contrast that with Hodge’s contributions from Joanne Bodine of Grass Valley ($2,000, $691), Neil Bodine of Grass Valley ($3,000, $70) and the Bodine Group ($1,300.) That adds up to $7,061, or 23 percent of the cash Hodge’s campaign raised.”
