Capitalism’s cancer is corporatism, when corporations grow so large that they need government to stifle their competition and in the process kill capitalism.

DeepStateAs we witness the massive lamestream and Democrat pushback on the Nunes memo (more here, here, and here), thoughts turn to how Deep State has survived and thrived over the years and how it operates – specifically how it defends itself and deflects the occasional foray against it such as is currently being attempted.  A little reflection reveals that the Deep State has baked in some pretty impressive and longstanding defenses; I would even argue that they are natural defenses in the sense of being intrinsic to such an institution.

The case for Deep State’s (DS’s) natural defenses can be summarized in the following points –

  1. The DS is necessarily political. To believe that its cadre hew to some ideological middle is beyond naïve.  As a minimum, DS always seeks to endear itself to the political faction which provides its current succor and assures its longest survival.  This DS attribute is now organic in our penultimately polarized republic.
  2. DS as a hierarchically structured bureaucracy is also intrinsically survivalist regardless of its ideological cast or that of its political sponsors. This is a well-known and documented aspect of all bureaucracies going back to biblical times.
  3. The career staff manning the various DS units has been and continues to be politically biased. In the lower levels its workers know that their job security depends on pleasing their department bosses and minimally, if at all, on how they satisfy their ‘client’ needs.  They also know that they will not be able to command their current benefits if forced to seek employment in the private sector.  For lower level staffs having government employment on your resume puts you at a distinct disadvantage.  Therefore, these workers are fiercely loyal to forces and initiatives that promulgate large government.
  4. An extremely powerful natural ally of DS is the practice and growth of corporatism – the state of private/public sector collusion wherein government and corporations benefit each other through trading market protections (against competition foreign and domestic) for campaign contributions, direct ‘bag money’, and lucrative post-public service employment. Corporatism serves both the elected and the higher echelons of the DS.
  5. The DS is always prepared and extremely compliant to being weaponized by their political favorites to launch attacks against designated political, commercial, and private citizen cohort targets. This is more so when the DS units are directed against targets they perceive as being inimical to their survival if the power balances should shift.
  6. Natural political allies of the DS are parties and movements that promote the versions of collectivist governance, since for those ideologies the growth of government and its bureaucracies is endemic, being marbled in their social values and various objectives leading to the eventual fundamental transformation of America.

Dan Balz of the WAPO had an interesting take on the R party coming together as the Trump arty in the SacBee today. I think he is right on a few things but when it comes to the “memo” he does not get it. All the deep state and traditional R’s and “never Trumpers” along with the media rats are now downplaying the meaning of the “memo”. They are all trying to protect the illegal reasons the FISA was created! It is shocking that these lovelies think the POST movie out now is so good but the reasons are not now important to criticize illegal activities of the government. No wonder Americans are so skeptical and rambunctious about our government’s pronouncements.

    http://observer.com/2015/01/in-andrew-weissmann-the-doj-makes-a-stunningly-bad-choice-for-crucial-role/
“Yet Mueller tapped a different sort of prosecutor to lead his investigation — his long-time friend and former counsel, Andrew Weissmann. He is not just a “tough” prosecutor. Time after time, courts have reversed Weissmann’s most touted “victories” for his tactics. This is hardly the stuff of a hero in the law.
Weissmann, as deputy and later director of the Enron Task Force, destroyed the venerable accounting firm of Arthur Andersen LLP and its 85,000 jobs worldwide — only to be reversed several years later by a unanimous Supreme Court.
Next, Weissmann creatively criminalized a business transaction between Merrill Lynch and Enron. Four Merrill executives went to prison for as long as a year. Weissmann’s team made sure they did not even get bail pending their appeals, even though the charges Weissmann concocted, like those against Andersen, were literally unprecedented.
Weissmann’s prosecution devastated the lives and families of the Merrill executives, causing enormous defense costs, unimaginable stress and torturous prison time. The 5th Circuit Court of Appeals reversed the mass of the case.
Weissmann quietly resigned from the Enron Task Force just as the judge in the Enron Broadband prosecution began excoriating Weissmann’s team and the press began catching on to Weissmann’s modus operandi.”

    Whatever happened to Evelyn?
Too weird. Spent some time replaying some clips and doing more research on Evelyn Farkas (Clinton Campaign adviser on Russia-Ukraine) this morning, and lo and behold, this pops up this afternoon. Now, that is truly a coincidence.
Going through old media reports from early last year and the dummies in lamestream media laid it all out there for us to see, albeit inadvertently. It was hiding beneath our noses.
“The documents note that some countries resist Russian interference.
Estonia has adopted a “zero tolerance” approach to illegal activities by Russian intelligence operatives.… Every year Kapo, the Estonian domestic intelligence service, puts out a public review of major cases, publicly naming organizations and individuals that are suspected of working with the Russians.”
Yea, the above quote was just to put an apple on our host’s desk. Me so bad. Now, back to the link and Evelyn Farkas.

Question: How did Bug Eyes Evelyn Farkas have access to Trump Intelligence after while working for Hillary?
Panic time during the transistion. She is now a member on the Council of Foreign Relations.

Rosenstein in the crosshairs? It’s the logical conclusion as we move on to obstruction of justice.
“For the heart of any obstruction scenario is Trump’s firing of James Comey and his boasting about why he did it.
But not only did Rosenstein discuss with Trump the firing of Comey, he went back to Justice to produce the document to justify what the president had decided to do.
How can Rosenstein oversee Mueller’s investigation into the firing of James Comey when he was a witness to and a participant in the firing of James Comey?”

Mike Rogers, head of the NSA, is coming out smelling like a rose amidst the Deep State’s Natural Defenses.
“Remember, historically The Washington Post is the preferred outlet for the CIA and Intelligence Community within Deep State to dump their “leaks” and stories. The State Department “leaks” to CNN for the same purposes.
♦ On Saturday November 19th Reuters reported on the WaPo Story and additional pressure by Defense Secretary Ash Carter and DNI James Clapper to fire Mike Rogers.
[…] The Washington Post reported that a decision by Rogers to travel to New York to meet with Trump on Thursday without notifying superiors caused consternation at senior levels of the administration, but the recommendation to remove him predated his visit. (link)
The Intelligence Community -at the direction of President Obama- made a request to a FISA court for the NSA to spy on Donald Trump in June 2016. It was denied.
In October the Intelligence Community (NSA) -at the direction of President Obama- made a second request to the FISA court for the NSA to spy on Donald Trump. It was approved.
At around the same time (October), as the second request to FISA, (Def Sec) Ash Carter and (DNI) James Clapper tell President Obama to dump NSA Director Mike Rogers.
A week after the election, Mike Rogers makes a trip to Trump Tower without telling his superior, James Clapper; which brings about new calls (November media leaks to WaPo) for President Obama to dump Mike Rogers.
Occam’s Razor. NSA Director Admiral Mike Rogers didn’t want to participate in the spying scheme (Clapper, Brennan, Etc.), which was the baseline for President Obama’s post presidency efforts to undermine Donald Trump and keep Trump from digging into the Obama labyrinth underlying his remaining loyalists. After the October spying operation went into effect, Rogers unknown loyalty was a risk to the Obama objective. 10 Days after the election Rogers travels to President-Elect Trump without notifying those who were involved in the intel scheme.
Did NSA Director Mike Rogers wait for a SCIF (Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility) to be set up in Trump Tower, and then notify the President-elect he was being monitored by President Obama?
    ….Seems likely.
    ———————————————————
Here is the Deep State’s spoon fed Popinjays’ response: March 20, 2017
“Trump leveled one of the most explosive charges in recent American history by accusing Obama of a Watergate-like crime. The White House provided no evidence, and the Republican heads of the House and Senate Intelligence panels said there was none to be found. Now the heads of the FBI and NSA have implicitly said that Trump made the whole thing up……
    2) Trump’s claim: President Obama ordered a wiretap on Trump Tower during the election
Comey’s response: “I have no information that supports those tweets, and we have looked carefully inside the FBI.”
Rogers’s response: “I have seen nothing on the NSA side that we have engaged in such activity, nor that anyone ever asked us to engage in such activity.”
Committee chair Devin Nunes had already debunked this one yesterday on Fox News Sunday: “Was there a physical wiretap of Trump Tower? No. But there never was.”
The heads of the Senate Intelligence Committee, Republican Sen. Richard Burr and Democratic Sen. Mark Warner, also said in a joint statement last week that “[b]ased on the information available to us, we see no indications that Trump Tower was the subject of surveillance by any element of the United States government either before or after Election Day 2016.”
    https://www.vox.com/policy-and-politics/2017/3/20/14982752/trump-wiretap-claims-officially-debunked-fbi-comey-nsa-rogers
*****Rogers says he was not involved, the NSA side “not involved”. (Not playing ball).
*****Nunes statement was correct. There was no physical wiretap of Trump’s computers. Wiretap is an antiquated term. Guys posing as phone guys or flower delivery men don’t take alligator clips to wires anymore. Verizon captures cell phones, off site computers captures data and internet traffic.
    Glad Trump kept Rogers around.

Heard a new name fo Deep State today. The speaker called it “Administrative State.” Clarified “Administrative State” to include all bureaus, departments, divisions….from EPA to CIA.
Seems to fit into Dr. Rebane’s description of DS above in his post.
