   -Russia hacked into the U.S. electric grid to deprive Americans of heat during winter (Wash Post)
   -An anonymous group (PropOrNot) documented how major U.S. political sites are Kremlin agents (Wash Post)
   -WikiLeaks has a long, documented relationship with Putin (Guardian)
   -A secret server between Trump and a Russian bank has been discovered (Slate)
   -RT hacked C-SPAN and caused disruption in its broadcast (Fortune)
   -Crowdstrike finds Russians hacked into a Ukrainian artillery app (Crowdstrike)
   -Russians attempted to hack elections systems in 21 states (multiple news outlets, echoing Homeland Security)
   -Links have been found between Trump ally Anthony Scaramucci and a Russian investment fund under investigation (CNN)
   That really is just a small sample. So continually awful and misleading has this reporting been that even Vladimir Putin’s most devoted critics – such as Russian expatriate Masha Gessen, oppositional Russian journalists, and anti-Kremlin liberal activists in Moscow – are constantly warning that the U.S. media’s unhinged, ignorant, paranoid reporting on Russia is harming their cause in all sorts of ways, in the process destroying the credibility of the U.S. media in the eyes of Putin’s opposition (who — unlike Americans who have been fed a steady news and entertainment propaganda diet for decades about Russia — actually understand the realities of that country).

    Franken is the latest of liberal leaning purges from the Democratic Party. Sanders, Feingold, Kucinich, etc… all challenge the leadership in various ways and they were all abandoned or thrown under the bus by the party.
    I wonder why Bill Clinton is being handled with kid gloves on this issue. He is a big time predator.
    Now for the real news.
    How are the Fab Five and Mr Rebane liking the new administration? He is gutting all agencies giving tax cuts to the wealth that are paid for by taking social programs from the poor. He is cuddling up to war criminals in Israel and using dangerous language in diplomatic affairs.
    I bet it must be a relief to know your dead peckers can still work without little blue pills with all the nocturnal emissions going on.

    Making America Great–Trump is on fire, pants on fire.. America’s “good country” rating has dropped from 20th to 25th in just one year. The Good Country Index rates countries based on 35 categories under seven main headings, including science and technology, planet and climate, and prosperity and equality, divided by GDP. By the time Trump is done making America even greater, we ought to be right up there with N. Korea as the hermit kingdom of trump. Good Job! Oh yes, all of the highest ranked “good countries” are those damn socialist commie countries like the Netherlands, Switzerland, Denmark, Finland, etc. Go figure..
    In other news, Republicans are bailing out of the party and now represent only 35% of registered voters.. coincidently about the same as Trump’s approval rating. The die hards remain.

    The problem since the election for the Democrat Party is the charge that the leadership is too old, have too much sway, and thus have no bench waiting in the wings. Nancy tried to pacify the more bloistetous left wingers by providing leadership slots to toss them a bone.
    Might explain showing 88 (or 110?) year old Conyers the door. Need to open up a slot for the new breed of leaders. Of course everyone knows it’s a bad idea to greet female staff in your Congressional office donned only in underwear. Everybody but Elevator John., apparently. At least he could have put a shirt on, but maybe he did. Old people often walk around the halls with their fly open…..and occassionally forget their pants.
    Where is Johnnie’s due process???? I thought this was America. You know, a jury of your Comgressional peers. Wonder if the evidence would stand up in court. Shudder the thought.

Did like Bob Dole’s Pepsi commercial with the play on the blue pill. I never haven popped the blue pill….yet. Too afraid of having to go to the ER with a blue veiner that lasts more than 6 hours.

    The Good Country Index, indeed! Rating countries has become an ideology-based game because the rating algorithm is totally subjective (nothing wrong with that) and can be made to stack countries this way or that. I have always been swayed most by a much simpler index that measures the desirability of countries – rate them according to how many aliens are trying to get into a country by legally standing in line or illegally crawling under the fence. That kinda takes the bullshit factor out of the equation.

    Let’s look at this Roy Moore thang. The Judge was removed from office…twice! He is facing allegations of the ick factor…or as some gleefully label it as Pedophilia or child predatation at best. Never mind pedophillia is a psychiatric disorder in which an adult or older adolescent experiences a primary or exclusive sexual attraction to prepubescent children, the ick factor remains and has stuck.
    There is no way Moore can win, as evidenced by Punchy’s new friend Fox and particularly Fox Polls. Put a fork in it, done deal.
    But, but, but, consider this. If the good folks of ‘Bama knowingly put Roy Moore in office fully aware that he has been removed from state office twice and the ick factor, what would that say about his opponent????? Hmmm. What will people say?
    Sorta reminds me of another scenario a year ago. Trump’s ratings were about 40% around November, 2016, lowest in the history of our great nation. Put a fork in it. But, somehow Trump with his bottom scraping numbers did the unheard of (as well as the unspeakable) and won the office. Now, what does that say about his opponent. And Hillary clobbered Bernie in the Deep South and then Trump clobbered Hillary in the Deep South.. Go figure.
    Anyway, it’s all just wild speculation of hypotheticals. We have the polls and it’s all over. Some fat lady is singing somewhere as I write this.
