What state are you talking about? In California it’s 18. In the case of Roy Moore he was messing with 14 year olds, I don’t believe any state supports that.
Here’s the rule in Alabama
Age of consent is incredibly important in Alabama. An individual who is 19 years old or older has sexual contact with someone who is younger than 16 but older than 12 has committed sexual abuse.

Now, Trump campaigned hard for Moore’s opponent, even flew down there for Luther Strange. The RNC stopped all money and support to Moore, the R’s dropped him like a hot potato, and no one, even Trump, is coming to his aid. He has withstood everything the Liberal Media industrial complex has carpetbombed him with…so far. And he is still standing. So, how are you going to tie Moore to Trump and then impeach Trump the man who can grab pussies at will and women spread their legs further apart. That’s your plan? Tie the two together? Your quiver is empty.
Relax, birthday boy. Ok, day after birthday boy. Moore is going to get creamed. Toast. No way can Moore ever ever win now. Not a chance. So, Punchy, relax. Victory is assured. Hmmmmm. Today I was trying to recall all the R’s that got caught with their hand in the cookie jar. I pondered and remembered the Senator from Idaho who played footsie under his stall in the men’s room at a passenger airport. Forget his name, but he came straight to mind. He tried to Weather the storm, but the R’s ran him out in days. The Dems were all upset and expressed their aghast, justifiable anger, and expressed their moral outrage. As I was dwelling on the Senator (R) from the Great State of Idaho, it hit me. The Dems were all a Twitter because the Senator was a homosexual and trolling for homos. Off with his head, he was trolling men! The was even too much for the libs to handle. Those heros of the libs like Che and the whole lot of them really really hate gays. Just like what Franken said. He thought it was funny. Not funny Al. I just can’t relate to that kind of thinking.

Age of consent is for sex, Paul, and he hasn’t been accused by anyone that I’m aware of having intercourse OR Lewinskys with the 14 year old. It was also apparently one 14 year old, not multiple.
Moore didn’t actually have sex with underage girls. Sorry. He may well have been a sick fk and he may still be a sick fk, but let’s not let our imaginations run wild, shall we?

Regarding age difference. In Muslim nations they have a strategy like some Mormons do. Get those girls married and pregnant at the age they become women. 14 is not unusual. In California, we say 18. Other states 16. We may not like that but is it is the law in that state my guess is there will always be people taking advantage of that law.

While talking about the rules for engagement when boy approaches girl, let’’s not forget actions that make a female uncomfortable nor forget the age of technology. Add to the list sexting (Carlos Danger) or watching porn on the company computer in a shared space (awkward for those in the same space or room.).
In the old days a man who exposed himself to women was called a flasher. No physical contact ever happened, but very inappropriate. Probably not sexual assault in the tradition meaning, but definitely sexual harassment. What’s up with all these liberal guys dropping their pants and either exposing themselves to females (who must be thinking, “OMG, I can’t believe this is happening”),to the more current liberal male favored display of exhibitionism….masterbating in front of women once they get unaware females behind a closed door. Again, not physical contact….
Then there are the complaints by the female Secret Service agent not particularly delighted with Joe Biden walking around buff ass naked as soon as he gets poolside or exits his bathhouse/changing room. Joe does not even bother to cover himself with a towel. Strutting around with his thing swinging and what can the agent do? Her job is to protect the man and that means keep an close eye on his movements. Very sad for whoever is stuck with the Biden detail when Shotgun Joe goes home.
According to the rules of engagement published by various universities several years ago, you have to ask first. May I kiss you? Yes or no? May I rub your shoulders? Yes or no. Seems to me it kind of takes away the spontaneity and passion out of the famous “first kiss.” Well,guess it is better safe than sorry. What does a guy say next? “May I touch your sweet maiden breasts? Yes or no.” Mother may I? So much for sweeping a woman off her feet and the heat of the moment.
I was reading an article about internet dating once. Guess everybody lies, taking liberities to make their profiles more appealing to the opposite sex. Full figured may mean one thing to me, another may say “full figured” are not the words one for would use to capture the true essence of that description. Point is both sexes put their best foot forward when wanting to be noticed by members of the opposite sex (same with homosexuals seeking same), but I digress. The article contained a link to a dating site.
Some have gone to extreme lengths to get noticed when attracted to another. The ads used as an example in the article talked about “I love the outdoors, riding bicycles on a sunny day, find solace in moonlight walks on the beach, reading a good book and snuggling up before a warm fire, holding hands with a partner, neither talking, just relishing being with each other in silence…..blah, blah, blah. Guess that was how the author of the article saw perfect internet dating. Then I clicked the link and noticed one man seeking woman ad. It’s said:
“Do you like moonlight walks on the beach,? Camping by a creek in the Redwood forests and sipping good wine before the glow of the fireplace in a mountain cottage? Then don’t call me. It you want to get down, let’s hook up.” Hmmm.
Don’t think anyone could misinterpret that man’s signals, especially those who responded favorablely to his ad.
Boy meets girl is complicated enough. No means no or no means not yet. Or no means maybe later, or no mean yes. I am just a dummie on such matters.
So, what are the rules of engagement in 2017?.. Drag her by her hair into the cave is not how we do things anymore. Plus, misreading signals may lead to disasterous assumptions and punitive consequences.
Bottomline: I have nothing to offer. More than once I was a gentleman, walking her to the door and all that stuff, only to find out later that the date thought I was not interested in her because I did not make a move on her on the first date. In fact, being a complete gentleman and showing the date respect was interpreted as a rejection of her by her. And rejected people sometimes get angry. So, got an
woman angry at me, feeling bad about herself when we said our goodbyes for the evening and I was left wondering what I did or said that very pleasant evening to have it end on a sour note. It was what I did NOT say or do was the problem, lol. Seems women nowadays are much more forward than they once were, but I never have been able to figure it out. I do know what consensual means. It means she makes the first move.

What is lost in all this hysteria about boys being aggressive is what about those aggressive gals? I have met numerous ones that were what we call “gold diggers” and it is not unusual. However, the males that get put upon by an aggressive gal react the opposite way. They tell those stories in the locker room and get pats on the back for being macho. Women react the other way if they are not interested. (men are always interested) But the bottom line to all this is “Human nature”. Men like women and women like men. Anybody who thinks women “tolerate/welcome rape” probably stopped their learning and mental development in grade school. The recent spate of women coming out with sexual encounter stories is testimony to disgust not toleration or welcoming by any stretch of a rational mind. Your statement seems to subtly suggest the “boys will be boys” mentality toward sexual assault is somehow acceptable in a modern society because, well boys will be boys… It’s in the genes and hormones. It is not. Unless you are the president… then it’s OK as long as you belong to the same political party as the perpetrator.
