[Begrudgingly many are now acknowledging that Trump had a good trip to the Far East. More people now understand that America has its own interests topmost, and considers it a good thing if everyone recognizes and admits that they too have their countries' interest come first. It cuts out a lot of the bullshit when people meet to make deals on stuff like trade and national security. Maybe the new paradigm will be named the Trumpian Schools of Diplomacy. gjr]

President Donald Trump signed an executive order Monday morning requiring that for every new federal regulation implemented, two must be rescinded.
“This will be the biggest such act that our country has ever seen,” Trump declared moments before signing it in the Oval Office. “There will be regulation, there will be control, but it will be a normalized control where you can open your business and expand your business very easily. And that’s what our country has been all about.”
The executive order signing, which fulfills a campaign pledge, comes after the president held a listening session with small-business leaders.
“If you have a regulation you want, No. 1, we’re not gonna approve it because it’s already been approved probably in 17 different forms,” Trump said. “But if we do, the only way you have a chance is we have to knock out two regulations for every new regulation. So if there’s a new regulation, they have to knock out two.”

Trump signed H.J.R. 40 on February 28. The bill, which is now law, repeals an Obama-era rule which prohibited the mentally disabled from being able to purchase firearms. Obama signed the executive action, which mandated that the Social Security Administration submit names of mentally ill individuals to the National Instant Criminal Background Check System, following the San Bernardino terrorist attack in 2015.

You lie, Keach. The Obama era rule wasn’t about mental disablity or mental illness, it was a rule that if a senior citizen (like Keach) had problems managing money and had a conservatorship put in place, they’d be placed into the Criminal Background Check system as if they were mentally disabled and violent.
In short, not managing your money well with advancing age does not mean you’d be dangerous with a gun, and was spectacularly uncoupled from the San Berdoo shooting by young moslem parents who were probably 50 years short of the age that was targeted by the Obama era rule.
Both the NRA and the ACLU were united on that one, Keach. Stop lying about it.

Hell Walt I’m perfectly happy with electric trucks as long as they pencil out financially….and don’t require Solyndra level corruption by the democrat party! I’d rather that we blow Diesel smoke from locomotives and then short haul electric to final destination.
Douchnozzles like KKKrazy Doug and Frisch can’t wrap their heads around the fact that every time a Solyndra or equivalent goes belly up it hurts their cause!
I guess it’s more important to pay off the donors!

Clue 852am – Actually, they are not. Their only energy source is fossil fuel. That they internally generate electricity to power electric motors for locomotion is merely a convenient and effective power management scheme. I was not aware that such basics are no longer taught post-Great Society children.

Walt…..all my hand held electrics have been phenomenally reliable! I have a DeWalt……heh….that has soldiered on now for almost 15 years and still works (shorter legs than it once had but still usable). I went to a new suite of Milwaukie handheld drills and drivers because they are supposed to have superior motors! So far I’m not disappointed!
I’m inclined to give the EV trucks the benefit of the doubt as long as the tax dollars don’t flow like in the horribly corrupt Obama administration!
