[I think I'll start this sandbox off with another confirmation of the 'two separate worlds' notion that abets our progress toward the Great Divide. It is always good to climb up the taxonomical tree to see under which branch these individual dust-ups we dissect belong.
A futile exchange on Bob Crabb’s blog (here). Mr Crabb accuses Trump administration members of harboring ‘medieval beliefs’ and being “religious fundamentalists” and people who would lock up gays as “deviants”. Challenging him to provide proof, Bob comes back instead with citations of policies the administration backs as prima facie evidence that such sentiments could only have come from people harboring the detailed medieval beliefs. When I pointed out the difference between policies and the alleged belief systems, as his repartee I was accused of being just like the other medievals and religious fundamentalists, extremists who are “destroying this nation just as much as the extremists on the other side of the fence.” In support, this drew in Messrs Frisch and Anderson, two of our local leftwing's intellectuals, who had similar problems setting up the dots and then correctly identifying their connectedness. In the process I was again accused of being a “traitorous ideologue” who should find a home on other shores. gjr]

This is far worse than I even imagined. this is after Trump repeatedly said there were no contacts with the Russians by anyone in his campaign. For example on Feb. 16, 2017,at a White House news conference, a reporter asked Mr. Trump, “Can you say whether you are aware that anyone who advised your campaign had contacts with Russia during the course of the election?”
“No,” Mr. Trump said. “Nobody that I know of. Nobody.”
Today from the Washington Post:
Documents and interviews show there are at least nine Trump associates who had contacts with Russians during the campaign or presidential transition.

If nine of Trump’s closest confidants had contact with Rooskies (and they did) and, as Todd claims, Trump was unaware of any such contact, a reasonable and ordinary person could only conclude that Trump is too naive and out of touch to be president. Even if he were blind sided by such contacts, even a minor vetting of his confidants would have revealed such contact and collusion.
In his own words I’ll let former convicted Watergate felon and Nixon attorney explain “collusion” to you Todd: Collusion is the descriptive word the news media has settled on to cover many potential illegal actions by the Trump campaign, which could range from aiding and abetting (18 USC 2) to conspiracy per se (18 USC 371) to conspiring to violate several potentially applicable laws like: 18 USC 1030—fraud and related activity in connection with computers; 18 USC 1343—wire fraud; or 52 USC 30121—contributions and donations by foreign nationals.
