[Having lived in the LA area most of my life, Jo Ann and I have done our best to get excited about the Dodgers during our annual and singular homage to baseball – the World Series.  We feel that, even if you think the game is terminally boring, all patriotic Americans must submit at least once a year to the national sport.  Full disclosure – when they tied 7-7 last night, we gave up and watched an episode of 'Rake' instead.  The game's final score vindicated our decision ;-)   And then there's the utter joy and dancing in the streets by our progressive neighbors, for Mueller has finally indicted someone connected to Trump.  gjr]

The Chinese security services just arrested a hit team dispatched by fat kim to kill his nephew who is living in china. Are the Chinese going to execute the plan they had in motion when fat kim took out his brother with binary nerve gas? Slotting in a member of the family dynasty with Chinese backing could bring about a satisfactory solution on the Korean peninsula. 😉

Gosh – I thought Mueller was investigating Trump’s alleged collusion with Putin. Looks like he has nothing. Since everyone thinks Bill Clinton is so wonderful, all that Trump has to do is follow Clinton’s lead. If Manafort is actually convicted, he can just hand Trump a wad of money and Trump will pardon him. Worked well for Clinton and Marc Rich, why not Trump and Manafort?
And that’s the end of it.
Well – We would still need to see what Manafort’s wife looks like. Marc Rich’s wife – Denise ‘Hooters’ Rich was said to have ‘personally’ intervened on her husbands behalf.
I just love how the left completely ignores the elephant and strains at the gnat.
And Hillary had the State Dept email server in her own house because?

    Hey Eric and Paul
Andrew Mccarthy: The Manafort Indictment: Not Much There, and a Boon for Trump.
The Paul Manafort indictment is much ado about nothing . . . except as a vehicle to squeeze Manafort, which is special counsel Robert Mueller’s objective — as we have been arguing for three months (see here, here, and here). Do not be fooled by the “Conspiracy against the United States” heading on Count One (page 23 of the indictment). This case has nothing to do with what Democrats and the media call “the attack on our democracy” (i.e., the Kremlin’s meddling in the 2016 election, supposedly in “collusion” with the Trump campaign). Essentially, Manafort and his associate, Richard W. Gates, are charged with (a) conspiring to conceal from the U.S. government about $75 million they made as unregistered foreign agents for Ukraine, years before the 2016 election (mainly, from 2006 through 2014), and (b) a money-laundering conspiracy. . . .
The so-called conspiracy against the United States mainly involves Manafort’s and Gates’s alleged failure to file Treasury Department forms required by the Bank Secrecy Act. Specifically, Americans who hold a stake in foreign bank accounts must file what’s known as an “FBAR” (foreign bank account report) in any year in which, at any point, the balance in the account exceeds $10,000. Federal law also requires disclosure of foreign accounts on annual income-tax returns. Manafort and Gates are said to have controlled foreign accounts through which their Ukrainian political-consulting income sluiced, and to have failed to file accurate FBARs and tax returns. In addition, they allegedly failed to register as foreign agents from 2008 through 2014 and made false statements when they belatedly registered.
In the money-laundering conspiracy, they are alleged to have moved money in and out of the United States with the intent to promote “specified unlawful activity.” That activity is said to have been their acting as unregistered foreign agents.
On first glance, Mueller’s case, at least in part, seems shaky and overcharged.
McCarthy’s conclusion: “From President Trump’s perspective, the indictment is a boon from which he can claim that the special counsel has no actionable collusion case. It appears to reaffirm former FBI director James Comey’s multiple assurances that Trump is not a suspect. And, to the extent it looks like an attempt to play prosecutorial hardball with Manafort, the president can continue to portray himself as the victim of a witch hunt.”

Manifort cannot leave his house. I was trying to be poetic. Sorry you couldn’t get it.
“Paul Manafort and Rick Gates were both ordered to home confinement Monday and ordered to surrender their passports after pleading not guilty to charges stemming from Justice Department special counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation.
Judge Deborah Robinson agreed to Justice Department requests to set bond at $10 million for Manafort and $5 million for Gates. They did not have to put collateral behind that amount, and will not have to pay it unless they violate the court’s directions.”

What happened to the big collusion charge with Trump?

According to prosecution documents Manafort coordinated shopping sprees, in two different states, totaling $1.3 million. At a men’s clothing store in New York, Manafort’s accounts wired more than $800,000 between 2008 and 2014. Another $520,000 was wired to a clothing store in Beverly Hills, California, the indictment says.
These were all paid for by wire transfers from Cyprus and the Grenadines. Classic money laundering. These details are in the indictments.

The 0 crew are all now suffering from their hubris of believing there was no way they were going to loose the election so no one would ever see the files or wiretaps. 😉

The Trump submissives soaking this blog are still not paying attention. The gig is up for conservatives – you are whistling past the graveyard. It’s your choice to be last to know but I’ll let you in on some of what will transpire.
They’ve got the goods on at least the following individuals: Paul Manafort, Rick Gates, George Papadopolous, Jared Kushner, Michael Cohen, Carter Page, Don Trump Jr., Michael Flynn, Flynn Jr, Felix Sater, Michael Pence, Wilber Ross, Corey Lewandowski, Jeff Sessions, Roger Stone, Sean Spicer, Rince Preibus, Brad Parscale, Kellyanne Conway, Jason Chavetz, Ivanka Trump, Devin Nunes and Donald Trump.
Some will be nailed on financial fraud and money laundering crimes, some on collusion with a foreign enemy to subvert our democratic governance, some on obstruction of justice, some, like Trump himself, on all the crimes. The entire Trump Administration will be arrested or will be flipped. A number have already flipped. Manafort’s phone has been monitored for years, Trump has been working with Russian criminals for a decade or more (how do you think he got out of his bankruptcies as a financial pariah?) , the Steele Dossier is a guide (of which, the majority of revelations have since been independently corroborated, none yet disproven) and is not needed as proof.
The conservative media and most of their politicians can not be trusted. They have practiced years and years and years of bad faith. Fox News, Sean Hannity and Wingnut Welfare recipients like A. McCarthy are misdirecting, dissembling, deceiving and lying. They’re encouraged to do it, get paid to do it, and are good at it, like George Rebane here (who does it for free – I think). It works on those who are easily swayed by what they want to hear. Hillary is guilty of none of the nonsense being hyper-bleated by the desperate wingers. It’s just words, nothing else. We were attacked by our enemy and the conservatives watched and helped. They will be punished and must be.
It was all so obvious that Trump represented the worst of humanity, and now it will be proven for the slow students among us. But it’s not too late to start educating yourselves. Step one, never again watch Fox News, Brietbart, Drudge, Alex Jones or their ilk, it is rotting your brain. Start paying attention to news that stands the test of time. Right wing news hardly ever does (it’s “all a hoax” they bellowed until they couldn’t). Conservative bad faith has polluted the great legacy of America but we will recover. Today was just the opening act of an unprecedented evisceration of a criminal enterprise the likes of which America has never seen. The magnitude of the crimes and the patriotic takedown of the criminals will be breathtaking – buckle up. The Founding Father will again be proud as increasingly scarce but honorable Republicans like Mueller and Comey (as a witness) serve overdue justice.
Watching ex-President Trump shuffle about the prison exercise yard is going to be sweet, talk to you then.

Your commentary contains ample amounts of progressive passion, but not one whit of evidence to bring any of it to bear on Trump’s having won the election through ‘collusion with Russia’. Mueller’s casting a wide net in the swamp of Washington is bound to come up with a lot of dirt on all kinds of people. But in these discussions predicting that is a sophomoric grab for low hanging fruit. We await substance.
