We're going on a short jaunt to a reunion of my old Army outfit, where we again renew ties with all those young lieutenants and captains, and our young pretty and perky wives with their infant fledglings in perambulators, all of whom now look pretty much like we do – tempest fugit. On the trip Jo Ann will be reading and reporting on the travails of Hillary who today told the Dems the bad news, "I'm not going anywhere." And one loud and clear message to her discerning readers (aka Democrats in high places) from between the lines of her book is, 'Don't assume that you know everything that I know about you all.' gjr]

What is your problem, Paul? How in the world did you manage to get through your service? Your obfuscating and evading would have earned you a lot of time cleaning trash cans. If your CO wants an answer, he doesn’t go for some BS about “well – so and so said…”. Do you have any ideas or thoughts of your own at all? About anything?

I think the question you guys are looking for is- What is your total active federal military service? That’s usually part of the formula for reservist VA eligibility. Being in the reserves for 6 yeas does not tell you what the amount of active federal military service is. That should help refine the conversation. 😉

I served six years standard reserve term six month active duty for training. Two weeks each summer, one weekend a month. I was in the same unit 6 years and we were never activated.

Well, there is no such self-reflection needed here in our neck of the woods. Good thing our local popinjay does not have blood on his hands or need any soul searching like other journalists have to undertake to absolve themselves. I don’t see as much news and discussion as I had thought I would about the Experian scandal. Is anyone out there doing anything specific in response to this disaster?
It galls me that because of their screw up, I’m supposed to go them for help. I’m sure there will be a class action lawsuit, but that won’t help if my identity is stolen.
