[I had no idea that the discussion of Trump’s presidency and its survival could be elevated to the enviable level of an unending ‘Yes he is …’, ‘No he isn’t …’, ‘Yes he is …’, ‘No he isn’t …’, ‘Yes he is …’, ‘No he isn’t …’, ‘Yes he is …’, ‘No he isn’t …’, ‘Yes he is …’, ‘No he isn’t …’, ‘Yes he is …’, ‘No he isn’t …’, ‘Yes he is …’, ‘No he isn’t …’, ‘Yes he is …’, ‘No he isn’t …’, ‘Yes he is …’, ‘No he isn’t …’, without any perceptible loss of interest by the discussants.  Nevertheless, on the off chance that someone wants to introduce a new topic thread, here’s some fresh sand.  However, any such forays into new issues are not required, especially for those convinced that other readers are hanging on every clever word in their repartees 😉  gjr]

Ahhhh fresh kitty litter! So who is against the new green card rules introduced by Trump? No welfare, have a skill, speak the language and support yourself and family. That all sounds awfully basic and lets taxpayers off the hook v the current system that has 50% of them on govt assistance. 😉

Lost interest weeks ago……Paul seems to have a memory deficit that causes him to cite the same poll numbers (or at least those within a tolerance range) on a nearly daily basis thinking that this will eventually alter reality to the state that he prefers.

    1) Don : who is opposed? Di-Fi said Trump’s immigration bill will NEVER pass the Senate.
    2) Scenes, and perhaps Dr. Rebane. Not sure what to make of this. What the guy wrote that cost him his job seems like common knowledge to me. The fascist Left teaming up with the Islamofacists is plan as day….to me.
“Through the campaign, candidate Trump tapped into a deep vein of concern among many citizens that America is at risk and slipping away. Globalists and Islamists recognize that for their visions to succeed, America, both as an ideal and as a national and political identity, must be destroyed. … Islamists ally with cultural Marxists because, as far back as the 1980s, they properly assessed that the left has a strong chance of reducing Western civilization to its benefit.”.

I am of course totally against them and several people here should be as well since they have consistently delivered the message, “we are not against legal immigration just illegal immigrations.”
Totally completely unnecessary action that will harm US businesses and economic productivity.
The idea that cutting legal immigration from 1 million per year (or .003 %) to 500,000 per year (or .0015%) will have any positive impact on employment is ludicrous.

Is anyone surprised the eco warrior ducks the main issue @ 323? Expecting green card applicants to meet standards on a merit based system that puts the needs of the US is just sooo mean right?
It is economic suicide to give 50% of green card holders government assistance. We don’t have a need for goat herders right now but we do need MD’s. Its about the benefit to the country not about lifelong gifts to foreigners. Go read Teddy Kennedys arguments in 65′ when they set up the chain immigrations fiasco then lets talk.
I would love to get you in a room full of black moms in say del passo heights, so you can tell them they are wrong that the flood of unskilled labor is taking their kids jobs. What a maroon.
It is all about what is best for US citizens and that’s the kind of thing that lost you the election so keep it up. You should ask the po’ ol’ pollhead to brief you on how the speaking english issue polls. Real workers of both parties clearly understand this. 😉

Rebane and Juvinall are non-entities. Their blogs feature the same half dozen or so posters and their influence goes no further than the usual suspects. The Tea Party and SOJ types who make up their primary readership will already support Miller based on ideological orientation alone, so what they and their posters have to say is really inconsequential. I would venture to guess that vast majority of rational undecided voters who might happen to run across those blogs would be grossed out at the juvenile rantings of a bunch of angry old white men. The Hodge camp should encourage voters to read those blogs to see what some of Miller’s supporters have to say.

    http://dailycaller.com/2017/08/03/meanwhile-canadas-free-health-care-system-is-also-exploding/
““average Canadian family with two parents and two children with a household income of $127,814 will pay $12,057 for public health-care insurance this year.””
“Services are being rationed. In our last report on wait times in Canda, we discovered that the average wait time from referral to treatment was 20 weeks.”
“For all those tax dollars, there is still a long waiting list for a host of operations, both routine and urgent. Another Fraser Institute study recently revealed that 63,000 Canadians left the country in 2016 to seek medical assistance elsewhere — usually the U.S.”
I’m sure “our” Progressives can do it a lot better.(which translates to pure devastation)

Does having a single buyer drive down prices better than competition? why?
Should an individual receiving the worst health care receive equivalent quality care as someone who receives the best? why?
Plus…is US healthcare (not insurance, but the care part) part of a competitive market? why or why not?

I don’t see the problem. It seems to me that restricting immigration to people with skills, atomic family members, and the odd bonafide refugee, is perfectly fine. It’s what most (all?) other first world countries do. Try just up and moving to Australia sometime.

“it is insignificant bullshit to appease the anti-immigrant masses ”
Just looking at a Gallup poll from a year ago, and before all the Trumphate, shows 38% for decreased immigration, 38% for keeping it the same, 21% for more. That looks to trend for less to me, although you can argue that democracy is for chumps.
You can certainly make the case that we need moar and moar folks to improve the environment, the price of property, and to grow the economy to infinity, but I can’t say that it’s a strong one. As a side note, a bit more in the way of integration and a bit less in the way of enclaves might not be a bad thing, but no doubt there is something evil in that thought also.
Oh well, we’ll see what happens. Maybe the ACLU will find something unconstitutional about immigration requirements, or at least the changing of same.
What I find most funny about these arguments is that the real angry old white guys become obvious. Both Mr Frisch and Mr Paul would be better off taking a bit of a breather, it can’t be doing your blood pressure much good.
