One doesn’t have to look too hard to know there is a mainstream media bias to destroy the Trump administration. So far, the media’s desired outcome of impeachment continues blindly in search of a justification.
The media’s incessant drumming of collusion based on anonymous sources has 59% of Democrats believing Russia hacked the November vote to give Trump the election according to an Economist/YouGov poll conducted May 20-23.
The media’s propaganda may also be responsible for the murderous rage and irrationality demonstrated by some on the Left against President Trump. An example is this week’s viral photograph of Kathy Griffin holding up a bloodied decapitated head of President Trump, and Portland mayor cancelling a pro-Trump rally because a murderous knife attacker supported Bernie.
For going on a year investigations by our intelligence agencies and oversight by Congressional committees have found no evidence of Russian collusion. This lack of evidence of collusion has been publicly stated by Senator Feinstein (D Cal.) (twice), former Obama CIA Director John Brennan, Director of National Intelligence James Clapper and CIA chief Mike Morrell, as well as House Intelligence Committee ranking member Adam Schiff (D Cal.).
To those of you not suffering from Trump Derangement Syndrome, I suggest you look at and compare the past actions of Democrats in their relations with the Russians. Consider:
–Trump never delivered a “Reset” button to the Russians, Hillary Clinton did.
–Trump was never a business partner who received $35 million dollars from the Russiana investment fund nicknamed “Putin’s Child.” John Podesta, Hillary’s campaign manager, was.
–Trump was never paid $500,000 for a speech in Moscow by Renaissance Capital which was tied to Russian intelligence. Bill Clinton was.
–Trump never approved the sale of 20% of American uranium while Secretary of State to Rosicom, the Russian State Nuclear Agency. Hillary Clinton did.
–Trump never lied and said he wasn’t part of the Russia uranium deal. John Podesta and Hillary Clinton did.
–Trump never scored $145 million from the shareholders of the uranium company one-fifth sold to the Russians. Hillary Clinton and the Clinton Foundation did.
–Trump never received millions of dollars of donations from the Russian oligarchs as part of a Russian nuclear research cluster. The Clinton Foundation did.
–And, a reporter’s diligent search of Canadian tax records didn’t find Trump connected in financial dealing with the Russians. Hillary Clinton was.
There is solid evidence, not anonymous unsubstantiated rumors, of inappropriate dealings with Russia pointing to John Podesta, Bill and Hillary Clinton, and the Clinton Foundation. Yet, little is said about these matters by the main stream “lamestream” media. And those who subscribe to Leftist ideology have neither an appreciation of this truthful evidence nor unselective memories.
The mainstream media recently tried to establish a story that proved false that Jared Kushner, President Trump’s son-in-law, tried to establish a communications ‘back channel’ with the Russians. Really! If the Trump team colluded with the Russians before the 2016 election why was Kushner now trying to establish back channel communications with them? Hateful desperate people will grab at anything, even the irrational and inconsistent, to fulfill their evil ends.
No evidence of Trump collusion with the Russians means no crime. But, to Democrats and their media cohorts this doesn’t matter. They have recently switched tactics and are now accusing the president of covering up a non-crime by heating up an obstruction of justice scandal to impeach President Trump even though there is no apparent wrongdoing or collusion by the Trump team with Russia.
This scandal without a crime can put the Democrats in a bind. With 59% of Democrats now believing Russia hacked the November vote based on a steady stream of unfounded media attacks on the president, even the New York Times reported “liberal activists are courting a backlash of their own as they demand of their lawmakers nothing short of driving the president from office by any means necessary.” Democrats and left wing media have overpromised about what was possible.
Retired Assistant Attorney General Andrew McCarthy argues the only way to counteract the left’s attempted annihilation of the president is evidence-based counter attacks. First, investigate the Obama administration’s abuse of government surveillance powers for the purposes of political spying. Also, Congress should investigate whether Obama’s Justice Department colluded with the Clinton campaign to influence the 2016 election outcome. And, third, Congress should investigate the collusion between the Russians, the Clintons and the Clinton Foundation.
May truth will out.

If is obvious to all here that the Democrats are far worse than Putin. More dangerous, more deceiving, and more destructive to democracy than any foreign power, including North Korea. And we have a low opinion of Putin. The Democrats are the number one threat to democracy and that puts Putin up the totem pole above them all, bar none.

The Democrat Party Establishment as it is right now is the biggest threat to democracy this country faces. Who else would even attempt to nullify an election by political coup d’ etat? First they tried to overthrow the electoral college by pressuring and harassing and threatening the electoral college delegates. And it has got worse since then. Two Democrat Congressmen have already drawn up articles of impeachment stating they do not give a hoot about any evidence any testimony or inquiry uncovers.
Think about that, Punchy. Take your time. Let it sink in. They can impeach Trump or a ham sandwich if they choose. Unfortunately, the Senate requires 2/3 vote for conviction and 2018 don’t look like a banner year for our Socialists. This is nothing short of overturning a democracy elected President.
I trust Putin had far as I can spit him, but I trust the Democrat Party even less. Way less. They are hell bent in destroying our democracy because they lust for power, not authority. They have lied more than Putin could in 20 lifetimes. We know exactly where ISIS and Iran are coming from. We know exactly where the Dems are coming from as well. I’ve read that “assessment” a few times since it was released. Did you realize the phrase “hacked the election” wasn’t even in there? In fact, hack and hacked were both mentioned just once. In general, it’s a document for the weak minded; as one disgusted reviewer put it, it didn’t have any information that the informed and generally aware hadn’t put together themselves in the weeks after the election.
Paul, if you don’t know what a false dichotomy is, look it up. I’m guessing you don’t. And stop with the hateful and intentionally provocative mislabeling of your neighbors here.

I think that goes without saying. I mean, really, what is there even to fight with the Russians about anymore? Some gas pipeline deals in Central Asia? The fact that they have a sphere of influence in adjacent countries (much like the US in the Western Hemisphere)?

If you are not on a first name basis, I think addressing each other with an appropriate honorific – ‘Mr’ will do in a pinch – will keep the plaudits and criticisms focused on the message and not the messenger. But if the messenger must be dunned, a churchillian approach would serve all parties admirably.

Patriotic Americans need to unite to fend off the coup attempt by the democrats and the press of our country. It is now so ridiculous listening to these people that one would think these people are actually traitors to the Constitution. I say that with a heavy heart. But what else could their actions mean? There is no collusion, no graft payments, nothing at all. These actors on the left are trying to overthrow the duly elected government. Where the hell are the Republican Congress people in our defense? What should we do? With every belch portrayed as a new Russian attempt to “hack” the election, we are getting fed up. We elected Trump fair and square. We want America to proceed and get the place fixed. The left wants a coup and a takeover. And what do they get if they are successful? They get the “law” and the military. And who do you think they will come for after taking out the President? You and me.
So I say let’s have a few hundred rallies across the country and populated by all of us regular people. We need to show the press those lying sacks protected in the Constitution that we are serious. Listened to a old lawyer today who had a hand in crafting the special prosecutor law. He said for a special prosecutor to be triggered, there MUST be a underlying criminal charge. Trump has never been accused of any criminal charge. The NSA and Intel stuff concerns surveillance and Intel collection of foreigners, not connected to criminality at all. Two different worlds. Sessions bobbled the ball big time for 1) recusing himself and 2) appointing a special counsel since there is no underlying criminal charge. The whole special prosecutor thing is illigetiment in the lawyers opinion.
The other bonehead thing he did was that Obama loyalist he chose to be his deputy. Oh well.
Vlady called me last night to talk about saving endangered tigers and lions and bears, oh my. We had a delightful chat. Hope he stops by here next time he visits. I miss him so much. That would be cool. He is a funny guy. We talked about that time his American surrogates slipped that quaalude in Hillary’s water bottle and boy, did she take get loopy and took that nosedive on the curb. Good thing he had that Polish “tourist” at the ready to video it all. Boy, that was too funny. Good yucks. Belly laughs all around. Hillary got as loopy as Punchy does on a daily basis. We laughed over the him too.

PaulE 942am – If we understand that both the Russians and the Democrats want to reduce America from its hegemonic status into just another weak and compliant socialist nation seeking succor and security from membership in a strong global confederacy, then your question of preference is moot to the extent that, with their avowed plans for our country, the Democrats have a better chance of achieving that goal than do all the stratagems of the Russians who don’t control half the hearts and minds of Americans.

Paul, I believe you don’t have a clue as to what they did or what the conclusions of that 9 week rushed to the press report before Obama vacates the White House actually were; the closest thing to interfering with the election I’ve managed to find was a report in Bloomberg that there was evidence someone in Russia cracked their way into an Illinois system and attempted (and failed) to change or delete files.
In other words, Paul, trying and failing to interfere with the election falls short of your claims that they actually interfered in a material way; that’s the bullcrap Democrats have been pulling since they got blindsided by the Trump electoral victory, accompanied by their buddies in the national news broadcasts rubbing into that fresh wound the salt of “and by the way, summing up the losses of the Democratic Party over the last eight years, the party has been set back to the Roaring ’20’s, before FDR and the Democratic New Deal”.
“The Russians are Hacking! The Russians are Hacking!” Also the Chinese, the North Koreans and Macedonian teenagers looking to make a buck.
The only thing you can point to is the allegation that the Russkies stole Podesta’s email files and gave them to Wikileaks. Unchanged, without disinformation teams pouring over and changing history. Just the unvarnished truth that Wikileaks released as-is, doing the sort of service to the body politic that the Washington Post and New York Times once relished.
Somehow that just doesn’t jibe with my mental image of the KGB/GRU style, but if Ben Bradley has been reincarnated as a minion of Putin doing the right thing, perhaps there is hope for peace in the world.
Personally, I think the simpler story is that an insider stole those files because they were disgusted with insider party politics and how that derailed the Bernie campaign, and that has been the Wikileaks unwavering story all along.

PaulE 1109am – Estonians have lived under the Russian heel for centuries, culminating with a half century under Soviet communism. There is no doubt that Estonians would rather live under Obama than the ex-KGB agent (in a way I am Exhibit A) But that again is an off-the-wall question not relevant to this thread – where were you going with it? However, that choice becomes more complex when you consider Obama’s longer term objectives for the fundamental transformation of America in light of my 1100am. In the end and for their own divers reasons, I believe, both Putin and Obama want the same for America – Trump and Putin don’t.
