Some of those critters are burrowed in pretty deep. it just takes a little longer to smoke them out. They are nervous as a ho in church. See they carpet bombed lus for the weekend and left town. Been expecting it, they are running out of ammo and throwing spears and rocks now. They still have balloons filled with acid, but it’s losing its sting.
Reminds me on the time Saddam Hussein launched the SCUDs on Israel on the Patriot Missle got its moment of glory. Come to find out, Saddam ran low and tied hunks of concrete instead of explosives on the SCUDs heads. He was running low.

Paul… and here I thought the “Russian problem” being investigated was leading up to Nov 8 when the Russians changed history by defeating Hillary with their hacking of the election. It started December? How did this affect the outcome of the election?
I love the cop-out line: “Mr. Kushner’s omissions were described by people with direct knowledge of them who asked for anonymity because the questionnaire is not a public document.” In other words, more crimes by anonymous “leakers” who find NYT/WaPo reporters at the ready to expand the story.
Trump and the extended Trump family have been an amateur hour in politics, but anyone expecting something different were fooling themselves. Learning by doing with the hounds nipping at your heels aided by rampant leaks isn’t pretty, and this is why the “what we need is a businessman without governing experience” mantra has always been a mistake. That said, Democrats are at the ready to go in for the kill with “impeachment” chatter … there will be hell to pay if nothing reaching the level of supporting an impeachment is found.

    Gregory.
Looking into my cloudy crystal ball, the impeachment chatter will peter out. They can’t even name a crime Trump has committed. What, it takes 3/4 or 2/3 of the House or something to convict? The Russia thang is a red herring.
Looking down the road, expect the Article 25 drumbeat in the jungle to fill the night air. It was floated before by Punchy and you know where he gets his talking points from. Trump is mentally unfit! . Coocoo clock. That is we are heading next after impeachment unravels. They need to milk this Russia thing until 2018 at a minimum to buy them time and regroup. They are too shattered right now and need all the help they can get. The MSM and the Dems have become one and the same. Not synonymous, blended. Like water and leaves make tea. Mingled. No separation.

Yes Trump is Teflon I agree with you on that Todd. Glad you did well under Bush Todd. Sorry that can’t be said for the 6000 American troops that died in a war justified by Bush lies. That’s one thing I agree with Trump on. Bush lied to get us into war and should have been impeached.
Trump: “I was surprised that she didn’t do more in terms of Bush and going after Bush. It was almost — it just seemed like she was going to really look to impeach Bush and get him out of office, which, personally, I think would have been a wonderful thing.”
    Blitzer: “Impeaching him?”
Trump: “Absolutely, for the war, for the war.”
Blitzer: “Because of the conduct of the war.”
Trump: “Well, he lied. He got us into the war with lies. And, I mean, look at the trouble Bill Clinton got into with something that was totally unimportant. And they tried to impeach him, which was nonsense. And, yet, Bush got us into this horrible war with lies, by lying, by saying they had weapons of mass destruction, by saying all sorts of things that turned out not to be true.”

Here you guys go. Midnight Oil played in Oakland last night.
Indefinite growth on a finite planet = DEATH
These lyrics were written in defense of the aboriginal people of Australia.
They could be any colonized region of the world where Europeans came in and took over. Forget the Tens of Thousands of Years of History! We know better was the message. We’re civilized, which means having organized religion and if you don’t your are savages and dangerous. The history of the USA and all of the Americas are very similar. Monkey see monkey do, the US broke away from the oppression only to become the oppressors through covert and overt economic/ military exploits. No more colonizing, that comes with too much responsibility, massive debt is our preferred tactic.
Midnight Oil Diesel and Dust album helped fund the legal costs and bring awareness of Aboriginal history and the need to reinstate ”Terra nullius’ a.k.a. land not belonging to anyone.
All sales proceeds were donated to the National Coalition of Aboriginal Organisations.

Actually I think you meant to say “infinite growth on a finite planet = DEATH” but nevertheless you inadvertently nailed the concept of Borlaugs Revenge……nicely done!
    The money quote…..

“Personally, I hope the reason that this graph doesn’t prove accurate is largely (A) intelligent self-restraint. But at present, white people don’t seem to be making much of an effort to facilitate and encourage reasonable family planning in Africa. Because that would be, you know, racist.
Which is the worst thing in the world, much worse than the U.N.’s population forecast.”

I am saddened by the news of the death of a fine man with 3 children. LE can’t say if the death of the Federal Prosucuter was murder, suicide, or foul play. They don’t even know where he died because his body was found washed up on the shore. Only 13 fed prosecutors have been murdered in our long history according to CNN. Sad. He worked for the Major Crimes Division and was investigating visa and passport fraud cases.

Glad to see Ben Emery post again and he is still among the living. Good news.
I look at this quote and say I agree. Others, perhaps even Brother Ben, look at the same stats and attribute it to inequality. institutional racism, and white privilege. The solution? Stop arresting an disapporiate number of black criminals, stop expelling a disappropiate number of black and Latino students disputing classes in high schools, lower the standards to make it fair, and have the Attorney General step in to make the stats more even. Dilution is the solution.
“Do you know that Negroes are 10 percent of the population of St. Louis and are responsible for 58% of its crimes? We’ve got to face that. And we’ve got to do something about our moral standards,” Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. told a congregation in 1961. “We know that there are many things wrong in the white world, but there are many things wrong in the black world, too. We can’t keep on blaming the white man. There are things we must do for ourselves.”
That quote seems like from a time and place far far away. I still see things as MLK did, which in today’s world makes me not with the program. That quote is something Dr. Ben Carson would say. Hmmm. One of my favorite quotes from Dr. Ben Carson (not to be confused with Brother Ben) goes something like this:
I already won the lottery. I have a great God and I live in the greatest country on earth.
Guess it’s just how you look at things. Thus the Great Divide.

A few dozen protestors ruin a fine University
The University of Missouri, which was besieged with protests in 2015, is cutting up to 400 jobs, closing seven dorms, and raising tuition up to six percent to offset the continuing budget shortfalls due to declining enrollment.
After protests on campuses led to a decrease in expected enrollment at the university for the fall 2016 term, the University of Missouri grappled with ways to handle the budget shortfall for the 2016-2017 year. The school ultimately decided to close residence halls and cut jobs when faced with declining enrollment.

Recent statement from the White house. My goodness!
“President Trump has a magnetic personality and exudes positive energy, which is infectious to those around him,” the statement from White House spokeswoman Hope Hicks reads. “He has an unparalleled ability to communicate with people, whether he is speaking to a room of three or an arena of 30,000. He has built great relationships throughout his life and treats everyone with respect. He is brilliant with a great sense of humor … and an amazing ability to make people feel special and aspire to be more than even they thought possible.”
The statement came in response to a Washington Post report on Trump’s tendency of attacking his own staff with insults. The Post noted that the flagrant use of complimentary adjectives to heap praise upon her boss weren’t what stood out. Rather, the abrupt rejection of everything Trump once stood for stuck them as strange.
