“Uh, fakenewsman, that was a statement made by Al-Sisi of Egyp”
Where did you get that info Don? It’s all over the interned and major news services that it was a statement by Hope Hicks, Trumps new Press gal.
Google this and there is no reference to Al-Sisa. You made that at up Don just like your 95% quote a couple of days ago about fake news.
Google her name Don and tell me what you find.

California is not the only government with unfunded retirement liabilities.
“We’re really at an inflection point,” Michael Drexler, head of financial and infrastructure systems at the World Economic Forum, said in a phone interview. “Pension underfunding is the climate-change moment of social systems in the sense that there is still time to do something about it. But if you don’t, in 20 or 30 years down the line, society will say it’s a huge problem.”
A shortfall of about $400 trillion could be reached by 2050, the World Economic Forum said. The figure is derived from the amount of money government, employers and individuals would need to provide each person with a retirement income equal to 70 percent of his or her annual earnings before leaving the workforce.
The gap is partially driven by an aging world population. Life expectancy has risen on average by about a year every five years since the middle of the last century, and half of babies born in the U.S. and Canada in 2007 may live to 104, according to the report. In Japan, the figure is 107 years.
There is going to be a lot of mad retirees when they do not get the promised checks from the government paymasters. $400 Trillion is a lot of missing money.

A California poll, conducted by Prime Group for the consulting firm GrassrootsLab, found two-thirds of local officials predicted major problems implementing legalized recreational marijuana, according to the poll.
But among the 118 mayors and council members surveyed, the highest ranking concern was more mundane, with 48 percent of officials ranking pension issues as their first or second priority, an enormous burden on the state and local government.
“The strain on local budgets driven by pensions is something even the left-leaning members put at the top of their list.”

Is it just me or did others have the same first reaction to the Redhead holding up the severed head? At first glance it looked like she was holding up a replica of her own melon. Yep, it was he face on the blood covered head. Kinda weird, but artists are a different breed. What’s the big deal? She was making fun of herself, obvisiously.
Alfred Hitchcock used to sneak down to his guesthouse and place a wax head of himself in the guesthouse’ refrigerator. So, late at night when his guests got up for a glass of milk or snack, they got the surprise of their lives.

In other CA Dem State Convention news, no wonder Punchy will never vote for a major party canidate again. Talk about a den of thieves.
“It’s unclear what the result of Ellis’ challenge will be. Bauman has already begun hiring staff as he assumes the position of chair of the California Democratic Party. Bauman’s recent record as a corporate lobbyist for pharmaceutical companies irked progressives during the race; he made over $100,000 in 2016 lobbying against a proposition to reduce pharmaceutical drug prices in California. Additionally, he recently hired health insurance operative and anti-labor political consultant Steve Maviglio as director of the California Democratic Party.”

Solar-Powered California Warned to Unplug for August Eclipse.
State energy officials are warning residents to click off all lights they don’t need and unplug all electrical appliances when 62 percent of the sun disappears over Los Angeles during a partial solar eclipse that is expected that day.
Nobody is warning of blackouts. But then again, nobody knows what will happen.
“When the sun goes away, so does the energy that powers our renewable solar panels. If millions of Californians turn off appliances and power strips to unplug from the grid during the eclipse, we can let our hard-working sun take a break,” said Michael Picker, president of the California Public Utilities Commission.
Pre-modern societies trembled at unforeseeable eclipses, and in postmodern California it’s pretty much the same story.

The WH filed 2 emergency petitions with the supreme court on the jihadi immigrant ban. I bet its more than a 5-4 win for the administration. Did you see the new extreme vetting standards announced today? 15 years of history including socials, jobs and family connections. Why did it take so long to keep people who hate us out? Immigration is a privilege that should be based on the best interests of the US and its workers.
I love the timing, while the talking heads exploding is in full swing on the global warming win, now there is an overtaking protect the borders story for the news at 11. 😉

I need to get this off my chest, not on facebook, but this guy Brad is out of control. Who else will he target? I want to get this out there, but he has me cautious right now. I am hoping to work to retirement here at Hills Flat, just 3 years away.
Brad P-Glasse,
Just so you know.
I reported to the Manager you spoke to, and HR the conversation you attempted to have with me on 4/24/17. Days before your “cashier” post or the “plumbing contractor” post.
Brad I was deeply concerned as to why on earth you would come into a hardware store to purchase a light bulb, then proceed to tell me a story about some trip to North Carolina and the conversation you heard over there.
Not so strange, until you started throwing out the “N” word numerous times to describe what you heard was said about Pres. Obama in NC.
Why for the love of God did you feel I would care one bit about what a bunch of people 2000 miles away were saying 4 years ago? And for a “customer” to come into a store and start tossing out the “N” word like that is not fair to the person who has to courteously listen. I felt assaulted, as I was stuck having to listen to that crap from you.
It’s not often that I feel the need to inform higher ups of conversations on the sales floor. But that was over the top.
I reported the conversation that day because I sensed that you must be baiting me. Why else would you share that lame story?
So that all know, Brad P-Glasse copied a page from a Facebook post, took it into my work and attempted to get me fired. Brad must have done that to pre-empt me from exposing his baiting people.

The hostile work environment which protects employees from bad/unwanted actions by co-workers and higher ups also protects workers from customers/clients/sub contractors. If a customer came in and started dropping the F bomb or making sexual innuendos to say a cashier or lady in the paint department or starting dropping the N word, one can should expect full support from management.
Steve did exactly the right thing. He reported the incident which made him feel uncomfortable to his management. It is now on their shoulders to take steps to protect him from unreasonable and unwanted situations from that particular customer.
With that said, it is a most unfortunate story, Whatever ax the person has to grind with the long term employee, it certainly has taken an ugly turn. The people business is a messy business.
This is a good time to relay something I recently read: Never debate on FB. That’ was the article in a nutshell. Glad Mr. Loomis intuitively sidestepped that booby trap.
