[This morning on NPR they had a Dem senator telling us why the Dems didn't show up at another committee hearing to vet one of President Trump's cabinet nominees. He said they had to do it because "we have few remaining levers to pull" to exert their influence in Congress. No one asked nor did he wonder why the Dems wound up with so few levers in Congress, in the governors' mansions, in state legislatures, … . It was as if the Dems had nothing to do with this act of God. But I know the real answer – the goddam voters didn't check all those polls (as cited here) before casting their ballots. gjr]

Fortunate we are. It just gets better. Cross Vincent Tolliver off the DNC list. He has been removed from consideration.
In a Jan. 5 email to The Hill, Vincent Tolliver, a former House candidate in Arkansas, said that Ellison, the first Muslim elected to Congress, should not be chairman because of Islamic positions on homosexuality.
โHis being a Muslim is precisely why DNC voters should not vote for him,โ Tolliver wrote. โMuslims discriminate against gays. Islamic law is clear on the subject, and being gay is a direct violation of it. In some Muslim countries, being gay is a crime punishable by death.โ
โClearly, Mr. Ellison is not the person to lead the DNC or any other organization committed to not discriminating based on gender identity or sexual orientation,โ Tolliver continued. โI’m shocked [the Human Rights Campaign] has been silent on the issue. A vote for Representative Ellison by any member of the DNC would be divisive and unconscionable, not to mention counterproductive to the immediate and necessary steps of rebuilding the Democratic Party.โ

The most radical people in the nation are packed into our State Department, Justice Department, Intellegence Agencies and even the Pentagon. T Rex will flush them out of State and Flynn will fire a bunch of them. No wonder Brennan was enraged.
I love the face of the Democratic Party and the DNC. The gift that keeps on giving.LikeLike

Not objecting to Sally receiving some award for her stand against Trumps immigration position……it just needs to be a different category from the Profile in Courage award. Profile in Posturing….Profile in you Really Should Have Resigned when the Obama Presidency Ended….Profile in Time for the Private Sector…you know, something appropriate!LikeLike

If Sally played her cards right, she should have resigned on principle and taken all the glory. But, nooooo. President Donald J. Trump stepped in and left his boot print on her caboose and reminded people of Reagen firing the air traffic controllers, giving Trump some points. A win for Sally and a win for Trump. “Rookie mistake.” ——Fish.

A principled resignation has so much less cachet to the victim loving left than a firing …..especially given who administered it!
Sally would have been just another civil servant who went on to other things…..but now I would expect that we see her at congressional hearings, democratic fundraisers, and on MSNBC!

That’s easy to say George but it will be a different matter in two years when the Pubbers will be up for re-election in the house and Senate. If Trump continues to decline he will be a stain on their candidacy they will have to distance themselves from. OF course you are aware that mid term elections historically lean towards the Party out of power. That gives Trump only about a year to right his ship with the American voters which right now is historically leaking.

Well lets give PE a new/old bone. Illegal aliens with drivers licenses voting was further enabled by 0’s administration blocking states from accessing the Federal data bases to confirm citizenship. It is safe to say team Trump will be fixing that very soon. In a report CA was fingered as having the voting system being the most susceptible to voter fraud. The biggest issue is that the illegal alien has to actively prevent being registered to vote automatically. Gee, ya think? Lets not forget podestas email where he was advocating taking the licenses with pictures and checking the citizen vote at the polls since no one checks.
How long to the investigation and purge of the voter rolls? Lets ROLL! ๐LikeLike

More than half of all new California driverโs licenses this year have gone to people who are in the country illegally, the state said Friday
The California Department of Motor Vehicles reported it has issued roughly 397,000 licenses to people who live in the country illegally. A total of 759,000 licenses have been issued in the first six months of the year. The DMV only issued 435,000 licenses in the first six months of 2014.LikeLike

Oh I think the mobs of democrats and liberals burning Berkely tonight and other places across America are going to be wrapped right around the necks of those democrats running in 2 and four years. We all have heard of the ECO folks that LOVE the earth SO much they are trying to stop a pipeline. As with any ECO protest they leave the place a shithole for others to clean.
Well, no exception with the pipeline protest.

“The people were attempting to create a new campsite on private property as the Standing Rock Sioux Tribe, along with the North Dakota Governorโs office and local law enforcement, worked to clean up the main protest site before spring floodwaters rise and wash trash and other debris into the Missouri River. The cleanup is being overseen by the tribe and is expected to take several weeks.”

Listening to NPR on my way up the hill this evening, Gorsuch was a bit=g topic. One particularly interesting interview was with an east coast law professor who was very impressed with the choice, and let loose with this observation… Scalia was something of a Hamiltonian (please, no classical mechanics jokes) while Gorsuch, sharing Scalia’s textualist bent, was more of a Jeffersonian, wary of the Regulatory state and Executive power.

Here is another significant action lost in the wails of the snowflakes and fake news, from President Trumps meeting with big pharma chiefs today. The Presidents plan;
First- The price of drugs are too high.
Second- Other countries have been freeloading on Uncle Sam.
Third- The best way to reduce prices is to expand supply.
Fourth- The best way to expand supply is to cut taxes and deregulate.
Fifth- More drug production should occur in the United States.
Sixth- The single best way to improve health is developing new medical cures.
No wonder President Trump has already filed papers for 2020. ๐LikeLike

That will be greatly appreciated by the conscientious MMJ growers in our county that are seeking licensing from the Board of Supervisors.
