Remember when the DEMS were pissed about Reagan? I found something by accident.
“According to Soviet documents unearthed in the early 1990’s, Kennedy literally asked the Soviets, avowed enemies of the U.S., to intervene on behalf of the Democratic party in the 1984 elections. Kennedy’s communist communique was so secret that it was not discovered until 1991, eight years after Kennedy had initiated his Soviet gambit:”

That is more evidence of the Left detached from reality. Hillary won 20 states? Well, 8 of those are colonies like Delaware, Rhode Island, Connecticut, Vermont, Maine, New Hampshire. Wow, I am impressed. Don’t forget Hawaii.
If you throw out CA, Trump won the popular vote and the Electroral College. Yep, that would be one upset populace with the majority of voters choosing Trump in the other 49 states combined. You thought the voters were angry before the election, wait till they try to anoint Crooked Hilary to the throne. That would be a coup attempt like this nation has never seen. Heck, they have been attempting a political coup since they became Losers, so at least the brain dead are consistent.
Oh course, we don’t throw out CA in making arguments. That is not how we do things on the sunny side of the street. That 20 Electoral College votes agrument is what those who live in the darken shadows do. The reason they keep trying their political coup is because to the mentally ill a) they live in a bubble and are detached from the majority of America, b) to the dishonest, the means justify the ends and they have fooled themselves into believing they have the highest calling, and c) they do not believe in equality and fairness for those who do not see things the way they demand others to.
It’s really both a mental and soul sickness we are up against.

Stats say roughly half the jobs created provide bennies to their employees. That means for every two jobs landed by people on Medicaid, one person drops off Medicaid. Why Obama did not spend the same amount of energy and focus on the economy as he did trying to get boys in girls’ shower rooms and censoring the mention of Islamic terrorism when Islamic acts of terror where committed in our homeland is beyond my pay grade.
If more folks got jobs and thus health insurance from their employers, then more folks would have health insurance, duh.

Here is an interesting item in the news.
The government has yet to reissue a single SSN and they’ve got approximate half a billion left before they’ll need to worry about it. So the short answer is… nope, they have not reissued any SSNs.
My question is, why did President Obama use Harrison (Harry) Bounel, SSN 042-68-4425 on his 2009 tax returns, which initially were posted on WhiteHouse.gov without proper redaction? Where did Obama get his SSN? Is he still using Bounel’s SSN? Why?

Putin can’t help but defend his buddy Trump
President Vladimir Putin said on Tuesday an unsubstantiated report that alleged Russia had gathered compromising material on U.S. President-elect Donald Trump was a hoax.
Putin, who reiterated he had never met Trump, said he hoped that Moscow and Washington could eventually get their troubled relations back to normal.
Would “normal” be before or after the Russians withdraw from Syria and Croatia ?

More bad poll numbers for Trump. 44 points below Obama. Amazing!!!
“Two polls, one from CNN and another conducted jointly by ABC News and The Washington Post, showed Trump to be the least popular incoming president in modern history. Trump’s approval rating in the CNN poll released Tuesday sat at just 40 percent, 44 points below the 84 percent that President Barack Obama took office with in 2009.
Just 40 percent of those surveyed by The Washington Post and ABC News said they held a favorable opinion of Trump, by far the lowest of any incoming president dating back at least to President Jimmy Carter’s 1977 inauguration. President Obama entered the White House in 2009 with a 79 percent favorable rating.

Poor Trump….can’t take it. He couldn’t even take a bad review about his restaurant without babbling like a spoiled 8 year old.
“Has anyone looked at the really poor numbers of @VanityFair Magazine,” Trump said in an early-morning Tweet. “Way down, big trouble, dead! Graydon Carter, no talent, will be out!”
    Part of the review:
Nguyen sampled a short-rib burger “molded into a sad little meat thing, sitting in the center of a massive, rapidly staling brioche bun, hiding its shame under a slice of melted orange cheese. It came with overcooked woody batons called ‘fries’—how can someone mess up fries?— and ketchup masquerading as Heinz. If the cheeseburger is a quintessential part of America’s identity, Trump’s pledge to ‘make America great again’ suddenly appeared not very promising.”

Since you didn’t bother reading the Stein piece, I’ll pull an Emery and post half of it:

In a way it’s pitiful. John Lewis, d. Ga. Still nursing a head wound from 1966 or ’67. Saying Trump is not a legitimate President because the Russians uncovered that the DNC sabotaged Bernie Sanders’ campaign. Crazy. So Trump fires back that Lewis is a loser. That’s schoolyard nothings except for the following.
The almighty New York Times calls Trump a racist for defending himself against a smear. A black reporter at the Times writes an angry article about Trump as racist… not one fact in it. But no one cares. That’s the news. That leads. No one cares.
The NYT does not call the tune any longer. Voters get their news from a jillion sources on the Internet. The Times is a voice and a big voice. But there are a billion other voices now. And about half of the nation just does not believe Big Media any longer. They don’t buy the vicious lie that white people are all racists. They know that the Black Caucus and Black Lives Matter are real racists. They know Joe Sixpack isn’t and anyway, they don’t care.
They’re sick of being pushed around. They elected a tough guy who won’t be pushed around. He’s a shtarker and he cannot be broken in spirit by the thugs and bullies of the media.
The left will beat and beat and huff and puff. But it’s a different world now. Again… The people who elected Trump don’t remotely believe he’s a racist and they’re sick of hearing it anyway.
This Trump guy. He’s not a sensitive soul like Nixon. He knows how pitifully jealous the media people are. He owes them nothing. He sneers at them. He’s moving them out of the White House. It’s brilliant. He’s making real the truth of now. The media are not good guys by and large. They’re jealous snobs. They are not running the show any longer. One tweet from Trump blows their 5,000 word stories to bits. This battle over Trump’s legitimacy is done. In Trump’s mind and in his legions’ minds, he’s legitimate and the media isn’t. He knows how the world works. It really is a reality TV show now. He’s some dope.

Paul, he’s talking about your buds. It strikes me that Reagan’s key to getting anything done with a clear Dem majority in the Congress was putting on the suit, asking for airtime, and making a Presidential address straight to the people. Takes days to set up.
Trump can Twit at 3AM and the NY Times wakes up to it, as do millions upon millions across the globe. Of course, Twitter may go belly up but they aren’t the only URL in play. And, of course, Trump has both houses of Congress but not by all that much and his hold on the GOP delegations isn’t exactly rock solid.
Update: Trump is apparently twitting that John Lewis is a liar, after a big juicy one was uncovered… no, the Trump inaugural is not the first Lewis has boycotted in his years in the Congress. Now, is that a lie or is he just even further over the Hill than has been suspected and he can’t remember the Bush II years?

Obama a narcissist Gregory? Really? Do you really believe what you said? I can and have been critical oa the job that Obama did as President but Narcissist or immature ? Not really
“Narcissistic personality disorder (NPD) is a long-term pattern of abnormal behavior characterized by exaggerated feelings of self-importance, an excessive need for admiration, and a lack of understanding of others’ feelings.[4][5] People affected by it often spend a lot of time thinking about achieving power or success, or about their appearance. They often take advantage of the people around them. The behavior typically begins by early adulthood, and occurs across a variety of situations.[“

Given his “bitter clinger” and similar remarks, I do think it credible that Obama has a severe lack of understanding of other’s feelings, and has arguably spent a LOT of time thinking about achieving power. Once he had that power, however, he couldn’t actually do deals (that takes negotiation skills) so he mostly made phone calls and executive orders, which Trump will be undoing with phone calls and executive orders.

Trump is a mentally ill man. Show me one example of Obama showing thewe traits.
This is a defination of a narcissist. Sorry I have to repeat it. Narccism is a mental condition defined as :
extreme selfishness, with a grandiose view of one’s own talents and a craving for admiration, as characterizing a personality type.
    Psychoanalysis
self-centeredness arising from failure to distinguish the self from external objects, either in very young babies or as a feature of mental disorder.
Unknown: She used to be great. She’s still very beautiful.
Trump: I moved on her, actually. You know, she was down on Palm Beach. I moved on her, and I failed. I’ll admit it.
    Unknown: Whoa.
Trump: I did try and fuck her. She was married.
    Unknown: That’s huge news.
Trump: No, no, Nancy. No, this was [unintelligible] — and I moved on her very heavily. In fact, I took her out furniture shopping.
She wanted to get some furniture. I said, “I’ll show you where they have some nice furniture.” I took her out furniture —
I moved on her like a bitch. But I couldn’t get there. And she was married. Then all of a sudden I see her, she’s now got the big phony tits and everything. She’s totally changed her look.
Trump: Yeah, that’s her. With the gold. I better use some Tic Tacs just in case I start kissing her. You know, I’m automatically attracted to beautiful — I just start kissing them. It’s like a magnet. Just kiss. I don’t even wait. And when you’re a star, they let you do it. You can do anything.

    Gregory, Don
Here’s a few more gems from Trump. They are not hard to find
“ I guess I’m asking, do you consider yourself ideal company?”
“You really want to know what I consider ideal company?,” Trump replied. “A total piece of ass.”
    From Republican Charles Krauthammer
This is beyond narcissism. I used to think Trump was an 11-year-old, an undeveloped schoolyard bully. I was off by about 10 years. His needs are more primitive, an infantile hunger for approval and praise, a craving that can never be satisfied. He lives in a cocoon of solipsism where the world outside himself has value — indeed exists — only insofar as it sustains and inflates him
    Here’s a gem
“The only difference between me ant the other candidates is that I am more honest and my women are more beautiful.”
    and another:
My fingers are long and beautiful and, as has been well documented are various other parts of my body”
All the women on the Apprentice flirted with me consciously or unconsciously. that’s to be expected”
“It doesn’t matter what the press writes about you as long as you’ve got a young and beautiful piece of ass”
These are so easy to find and well documented. Ladies and gentlemen meet the new President of the United States.

    Good question Fish
It’s a matter of understanding the nature of the beast, so to speak. I am very concerned that we have a mentally unstable person in the White House starting on Friday. Change will have to wait four years but since Trump is also not liked by even his own Republican constituency he will be on a short rope and his apparent mental illness could cause him to do dangerous and unpredictable things. You can take it for granted that Putin has a book on him and can release stuff at any time especially about his business dealings in Russia that will severely compromise his judgement and leave him vulnerable for blackmail or worse if he doesn’t go along with what Putin wants.
Someone with the mental disorder that Trump displays should not be President because they are so sloppy about what they say and do. His arrogance will win him no friends.

You know Fish I’m sure they (the Russians) have a book on everybody of importance. Why wouldn’t they? If indeed, and I’m not saying there is, any evidence of collusion in advance between Trump and Putin on the Wikileaks hacks Trump will probably have to resign or he would likely be impeached. Indeed Putin claims to never have met or talked to Trump in person and visa versa. Actually the Republican mainstream would not have a problem with that because Pense would ascend to the Presidency.
As I said Trump in not at all popular with the mainstream (Ryan etc) so it would not be a tragic loss to the Republicans and we’d be back to business as usual.

Paul, just a small tiny point to address. Paul Ryan has been the #1 enemy to the millions of people on the right who decided long before the primaries even began that the RINOs had to go. I know of no one in my circle that would have shed one tear if McCain would have been defeated. Yes, even would have given up a Senate seat to see him pack his bags.
No saying this is my position, but Ryan has had a laser dot on his forehead since 2014.. McCain as well, but we figured he would lose.
The small point I wish to make is when you say “mainstream Republicans”, you are not quite phrasing it correctly. Maybe from your outside looking in POV, but not from the inside looking out POV.
The mainstream Republicans had their soul searching via the RNC and came up with the game plan after Romney’s loss in 2012. That winning strategy was to appeal to Hispanics and come out all in for blanket amnesty. Demographs and all the convential wisdom stuff. The Gang of 8 emerged as the face of new kinder gentler Republican Party. Bush, Rubio the Cuban,…the mainstream.
That was the real catalyst. The Republicans became enraged. Cruz was the most hated man in the Senate from both left and right and he surged. Trump came out as the only one of the bunch to not only oppose blanket amnesty, he wanted border control. He surged. The rest fell by the wayside. Jeb Bush never got pass mid to high single digits. Rubio got creamed in his home state.
The ones you mention as mainstream and sometimes quote (Ryan, McCain, Rubio, Graham) where in fact out of the Republican mainstream. Call it populism if you will. Ryan was and remains out of touch with mainstream Republicans. Public enemy #1 to most Republicans.
Call Trump’s success as a hostile takeover of a political party that had lost touch with the mainstream. He had the backing of “non-mainstream” Republicans as state after state recorded record Republican primary turnout.
The word mainstream is how you see it and Paul Ryan, not the new mainstream Republicans.

“The public sees “the biggest setbacks on the federal debt, crime, the gap between the rich and the poor, and race relations,” Gallup admitted. Those grades were, respectively, minus 36 percent, minus 35 percent, minus 34 percent, and minus 27 percent for “race relations,” Gallup acknowledged. Obama also scored minus 7 percent when Americans were asked about the “situation for blacks.”
Overall, the public graded Obama’s accomplishments as a minus 9 percent rating in the survey, which was taken Jan 2 to Jan. 3.”
