   Seriously, I was and do to this day wish the wackos tear down Hetch Hetecy. The assholes got a exemption to the Endangered Species Act and diverted zero water to our fish.    Oh Paul, when? Helpful hint: First of all, we only have one President at a time. When begins after he becomes our President. Then add 18 months to 2 years until things start working through the economy. That is 18 months to two year AFTER bills are on his deck to sign and you got to allow some wiggle room for the banana heads to have their sit-ins and panic attacks and Superglue the locks on the doors of the People’s House and The Hallowed Halls of the Senate. Reagen’ first two years were brutal. President Ronnie had to repair and fix the damage that Carter did to our military, our economy, and our standing across the world. Huge task and not for pussies. And the peanut farmer was in office fornly one term.
   Obama has done 5-9 times the damage as Carter, but it took him 8 years. Much damage to be repaired. The task seems too big for any human to even contemplate.
   But one man and a twitter machine might do what no one else thought possible. Not a job for a pussy for sure.

    “As honeymoons go, Donald Trump’s wasn’t much to write home about. He was voted in as the most unpopular president-elect in modern history and got slightly less unpopular in the weeks that followed, as the goodwill flowed. Even then, though, he clearly remained the most unpopular president-elect in modern history. Again, that was the honeymoon.
    And now it’s over.
    A new poll from Quinnipiac University suggests that Trump has reverted to his pre-election standing, with Americans having major concerns about his temperament and the direction in which his presidency will lead the country. Trump’s continued controversies seem to have put him right back where he was before he won the election.
    Quinnipiac is the first high-quality pollster to poll on Trump twice since the election. And while its poll in late November showed his favorable rating rising from 34 percent to 44 percent, that number has dropped back to 37 percent, which is about where it stood for much of the campaign. That’s tied for Trump’s worst favorable rating in a poll since his election. And a majority — 51 percent — now have an unfavorable view of him.
    While 41 percent thought he would be a better leader than President Obama, it’s now 34 percent. While 52 percent thought he would help the nation’s economy, it’s now 47 percent. While 40 percent thought his policies would help their personal financial situation, it’s now 27 percent. While 53 percent thought he’d take the country in the right direction, it’s now 45 percent.

There are similar drops in views of his honesty (42 percent to 39 percent), his leadership skills (56 percent to 49 percent), his compassion for average Americans (51 percent to 44 percent), his levelheadedness (38 percent to 33 percent) and his ability to unite the country (47 percent to 40 percent).”

    I can guess Walt but you must have a specific idea about the Great
    America you want to return to. You can be general such as Eisenhower years, Reagan Years, Bush years Nixon for example. I doubt if it would be during a Dem administration but I might be wrong.

    walt, I did a little research and came up with the Great America dates you believe in. They are 1921-1931 under Harding, Hoover and Coolege and 2001-2006 under Bush. Let me know you agree with that assessment because it follows your guidelines.

    Pretty generic slogan. Kinda thin because as elegant as Obama’s presentation was and is he didn’t have the experience or the mojo to Captain the ship. Inherited the worst economy since the great depression and did little more that run up the family credit card and putt around the shoreline with no real agenda for the economy. He did keep us out of land wars but continued the Bush plan of replacing regional thugs with unstable puntahs that led to instability and the rise of Islamic extremist groups we are facing today, Obamacare was hasty and unsustainable. Should have gone with single payer.

    In the medias (and PE’s) Russian obsessions they have missed a major stand. In Tillersons confirmation hearing he said clearly that we are done with china’s illegal island building in the so. china seas.
    By telling them we will block access to the illegal constructions on other country’s reefs Trump has sent a demarche of the first order.
    China is the epitome of a paper tiger. Posturing like a super power when they have FOREX reserves dwindling faster than a bag a of weed in Nevada city is telling. Then you had the communists recently issuing hopefully secret orders to their banks to not do any more foreign transactions over quotas even if they loose customers. On top of that is the massive internal debt crisis that is blowing up and their vulnerability to any reductions of their trade surpluses. So who is vulnerable and who has the upper hand?
