[Apologies for another overdue sandbox. Boy, they sure fill up fast. I would personally enjoy readers' thoughts on airport massacres, the new venue of choice for terrorists and madmen to carry out mass shootings in highly crowded environments where the shooter is guaranteed by the federal government to be the only one armed (save the readily identifiable and evadable security personnel). And the best part of such exchanges is to once more hear the pinhead progressives conclude that too many CCWs are the real problem. gjr]

PaulE 236pm – Well of course I would have the same assessment of Russia’s behavior; it’s got nothing to do with who won, save that the lamestream would not have wasted a column inch on the Russian hacks had the situation been the reciprocal. But I not sure I know which of my positions most recently astonished you (since you cite no specific comment).

I can see why Paul is upset. Dr. Rebane said “bear squats in the woods”, though the exact vebage was not squats. That kind of language will put ya in Paul’s doghouse. Unfortunately, Paul does not keep his promises of giving ya the ole silent treatment for long…..not long enough for my druthers. 🙂
It’s hypocrisy I tell ya, bloody hypocriscy. Yes, we know that Paul was here every single day month in and month out decrying the hypocrisy of Obama’s from dawn to dusk….then after a brief pause, well into the night. Obama did this, Obama did that, Hillary did this, Hillary did that, Holder, Holdef, Holder. We all know Paul did nothing for the last 8 years but decry the corruption in high places and relentlessly attack Dems for hypocrisy, right? It was like a broken record. The Dems did this, what do you think about Lois Lerner doing that…..on and on. The man was obsessed. We remember, right?
Speaking of hypocrisy, Justice should be blind in even the partisan world. I can see why this guy Cruz won over so many hearts and minds. Cruz never endorsed Trump, but when Cruz announced he would vote for the Republican nominee, the Tea Party broke in the last critical weeks for Donald and the rest is history.
6 minutes of hypocrisy well worth the time….recommended for all of the Deplorables and the good people as well.

It’s impressive to me that you would have no problem if the Russians clearly supported Hillary and were hacking the RNC and distributing information negative to Trump to hopefully tilt the election in their favor.LikeLike

I thought the Tea Party did not support individual candidates. George, can you provide some insight into this?

Paul, which is worse:

2) Nobody in the DNC blowing the whistle on (1);

Hmmm?
You seem focused only on 4. I’m bothered more by 1 and 2.LikeLike

Leahy was projecting. If ever a man was creepy it is he. Sessions is destroying the democrats attacks. He is a good man and thanks to Ted Cruz the dems lies are exposed. Anyway Sessions has to say many things to get through thi. He is telling the truth unlike Paul’s fevorite Loretta Lynch who lied about everything.

My 3:49 pm. The first video plays all hypocricy Paul decried for the last 8 years. The second video ain’t as good, but ok.
Paul, the Tea Party voters and like-minded Patriots (not the TTP) who had reservations about Trump broke for the President-elect when Cruz said he would vote for “The Republican Party nominee” without mentioning The Donald’s dastardly name.
I think I was about the only one tuned in enough to say “Wow, this is big, this is really big!”. Never heard about it in those terms anywhere on MSM nor the fake news outlets such as the discredited Huff-n-Puff Emergy Post.
George, Paul is waiting! Paul is waiting! He demands answers and he demands them now. George….George….oh GEORGE, explain yourself and answer my bullshat NOW.
Perhaps Dr. Rebane is predisposed working on his KVMR commentary. Or, he is listening to fine classical mussic and enjoying a good book in the warm glow of intoxicating candlelight. George! George! Emergency!LikeLike

The question to Sessions should have been “if a woman lets a man grab her [fun parts], is that battery?”.
let: not prevent or forbid; allow.
I’ve been told such a grabbing without permission isn’t assault but a battery. Assault is the threat to do so. If the mere grabbing of the [fun part] without written or specific verbal permission is battery, I’ve been a serial batterer for about the last 45+ years, as have my companions as they responded in kind.
But, of course, the grabbing as being obviously an assault (actually, a battery) is the only politically correct answer.LikeLike
-
Sessions told the truth. If someone grabbed the Paulssy in an unwanted manner, that would be assault. Yes indeed. In CA, unwanted touch is battery, like brushing someone’s shoulder in a crowded elevator. Grabbing may take that to assault.
Sessions did a terrific job, answering all questions in an unambiguous straightforward manner to even “gotcha” questions. His answer to Roe vs Wade is exactly how if would answer if asked and how I feel. I may not agree with Roe vs Wade and think the decision was based on fallacious reasoning of previous privacy case law, but it is the law of the land and has been the law of the land for quite some time. “And I respect that.”
I think the only real problem the Dems on the committee have with Sessions is that Jeff Sessions is not a liberal.LikeLike

BT 446
“Grabbing may take that to assault”
BT you have the sequence backwards… in my lay understanding, assault is the threat of battery. The grabbing would be taking an assault to a battery.LikeLike

Well good news (sorta) for Paul and his dope smoking friends.
“During the first day of his confirmation hearings on Capitol Hill on Tuesday, Sen. Jeff Sessions did not provide much in the way of a definitive plan for how he would direct the Justice Department to treat states’ legalization of a drug that is very much illegal under federal law. Sessions, who in the past has been outspokenly opposed to legalized marijuana, admitted during questioning by his fellow U.S. senators that disrupting states’ legal marijuana markets by enforcing federal marijuana laws could create an undue strain on federal resources.
However, responding to a question from Democratic Sen. Patrick Leahy of Vermont, Sessions (a Republican representing Alabama) also said he “won’t commit to never enforcing federal law.”

Gregory 404- There are a lot of compelling factors that could indicate Seth Rich was the deep throat at the DNC and paid for it with his life. There was the company that said they believed the data came from a flash drive. He was in charge of building the main DNC data base and had the access. WikiLeaks offered as much reward money as the DCPD for his perp. The total reward was 150k. The only evidence was video from across the street that showed the legs and feet of 2 guys following him. Then he was shot in the back and the shooters did not even search the body for loot. They left his wallet, iPhone, gold necklace and gold watch. 😉

PaulE 354pm – I have not been involved in the Tea Party goings on for some time now, so I don’t know if they are evolving from non-partisan (which they definitely were way back when) to partisan. My own belief is that they should announce themselves as a conservative organization since they believe in constitutionality, smaller government, individual liberty, and enterprise – tenets that are foreign to the Left. Maybe they have already done so.
BTW Paul, you would contribute much more to these conversations if you sprinkled in a few more declarative sentences and reduced the number of questions, especially those that require radical course corrections in the conversation. The lateral G-forces of such shifts take their toll on us.LikeLike

Walt, that Leahy is a crusty old dog. BTW, from the Encyclopedia of Worthless Infornation, the people of Vermont consume the highest amount of vinegar (per capita) in all the 50 states. Vermont has given us crusty Leahy and grumpy Bernie. Makes sense to me.

Yes, the murder of Seth Rich could be related, and if I had knowledge of that, I’d probably be waiting until after the changing of the guard is complete to come in from the cold.
However, without any real evidence, spouting off about it would be treated as just more Vince Fosterish conspiratorial ideation. Just another street murder is the simplest explanation… yet his involvement with Democratic data at a touchy point in the history of Democratic data gives me pause, too.LikeLike

Funny that you should mention grandchildren. The day started out with Senator Sessions bringing his Asian-American grandchildren who wanted to see what the Senate Chambers looked liked. That prompted an immediate remark from a MTV host that “they looked like he borrowed them from ToysR Us”, akin to a MSNBC host mocking Romney’s black grandchildren. After that start, only place to go was up.
The libs read their scripted long protest speeches (not one talked off the cuff) and some clown heads popped in the peanut gallery, which was most amusing. Even Sessions struggled to keep a straight face. But, by the end it was apparent that the Dems were out of gas and resigned to the ugly fact they had no power. They even seemed fairly non-crazy eyed at they very very end.
Cruz went out of his way to stomp on Steward Smiley’s….er…Al Frankin’s agrument…..in a professional way. Destroyed him with facts.
Sessions came prepared and apologized for nothing because his views and statements were unassialable. All bark and no bite. It was men toying with boys.LikeLike

Oh Walt @ 6:11 pm. PE never defends so you are wasting your time, lol. Paul does not defend liberals because he is not a liberal. Paul does not defend Democrats because he is not a Democrat. Paul will never defend the Left because he is not a lefty, duh. He be a libertarian….or let’s say he gives libertarians a bad name, but I digress. PE has positioned himself into a place where he does not feel the need to defend anything but pot and backyard private party concerts and also attack only Righties, lol. It the perfect place for Paul and dovetails nicely with his biases. Unfortunately we got free rent in his head all day and all night. We own him and he is here to stay. He be our puppet.

Walt at 5:53 – we had our minus temps a couple of days ago. It’s 37 and rain right now. A lot of snow and ice and slush. The Snake and the Payette have some ice jams and there’s flooding here and there. Deer Creek and the Yuba are doing just fine, I see.
Global Warming, don’t ja know. And the ‘end of snow’. Don’t argue, now. It’s ‘settled science’.
We’ll be back to single digits in a couple of days and more snow.
They’re trying to get rid of weenie ex-Kali-ites. Sorry – I saw more snow in Nevada County in the 30+ plus years I was there. The cold here is something else, though. Never thought the mid teens would be considered ‘warm’. It was 7 and sunny, so we went for a stroll last week.
Anyway, back to the posted topic.
That rapscallion Sessions – being all warm and friendly with non-whites. What’s a Dem to do?
Where’s Paul? I thought he would have the dirt on Sessions.
Maybe Paul can comment on Obama’s last gasp. Explain the run up in debt in light of Obama’s comments about how bad it was to run up the debt.
Before Obama got to run up the debt. Maybe our resident leftie can make a few cogent comments about how libertarians see the run up in debt.
But of course, Paul can only yip and yap.LikeLike

Not much help for your cause Bessee. Sessions is applauding the Fed pot guidelines created by Holder and Lynch.
”
“I won’t commit to never enforcing federal law,” said Sessions, responding to a question about whether he’d use federal resources to prosecute people using marijuana in accordance with their state laws. “But absolutely it’s a problem of resources for the federal government.”
He also said “Federal guidelines on marijuana enforcement crafted under Attorneys General Eric Holder and Loretta Lynch had been “truly valuable” in determining how to navigate inconsistencies between federal law ― under which marijuana is illegal ― and state laws that have loosened restrictions on the plant.” Sessions also noted that “if Congress wanted to clear up this confusion, it could pass a law adjusting the legal status of marijuana. Until then, however, he vowed to do his job “in a just and fair way” while judging how to approach marijuana going forward…………..
Rep. Dana Rohrabacher (R-Calif.), a vocal proponent for reforming marijuana laws, told The Huffington Post in November that Sessions would not interfere with states that have legalized marijuana, a position that he characterized as consistent with Trump’s.LikeLike

Change off topic: From the where are they now file:
“This lawsuit filed by Clock Boy’s father is yet another example of Islamist lawfare, which is a component of the Muslim Brotherhood’s civilization jihad.”
Yerushalmi further explained that the purpose of such lawsuits, formally labelled Strategic Lawsuits Against Public Participation (“SLAPP”), is to intimidate into silence those who might comment publicly on the connection between jihad, terrorism, sharia, and Islam.
Yerushalmi added:
“The Islamists employ the progressive mainstream media to label any public criticism of a sharia-centric, jihad-driven Islam as “Islamophobic,” and they add fear and financial ruin to the equation by utilizing the legal system to file SLAPP actions.
Now that the lawsuit has been dismissed, the AFLC is petitioning the court for lawyer fees and sanctions against Clock Boy’s dad.”
1) https://pjmedia.com/trending/2017/01/10/clock-boy-loses-in-court-dads-defamation-lawsuit-dismissed/
What most people failed to realize in this case was the President encouraging people “if you see anything suspicious, report it” that by comparison seems Islamphoic in 2016. Also, Clock Boy first showed his homeroom teacher (an English teacher) who had zero experience or training in what a briefcase bomb looks like. Nor would she be expected to have. She kicked it around in her head for half an hour or so before alerting school administrators. It was not the science teacher who thought it might be a bomb.LikeLike

Dodge and weave, Paul. Dodge and weave.
But, unlike your sorry childish ass, I’m a grown up and will answer your question.
Try to pay attention and learn something.
There are laws in this nation concerning the possession and use of MJ.
It doesn’t matter if you or I like or don’t like it.
We are a nation of laws and not a nation of men.
Deal with it.
I know a few law enforcement folk and they all say the same thing.
Most MJ busts are for:
Mass illegal grows. Illegal herbicide use, close to slave conditions of the people actually tending the grows, water theft, etc.
Folks that are causing trouble and the easiest bust is for the dope bag. These perps need to be off the street and if the dope bust is the easiest for the cops, so be it.
Teens way over their heads in trouble. Busting them for dope is a kindness. It’s the least of what they could be charged with.
Major dealers. Pot isn’t the only thing they’re dealing – but if the pot takes them out of circulation, good riddance.
Get it, Paul?
Please show me the honest law-abiding John Doe that had his door kicked in for smoking a joint.
Now – about Jeff Sessions and the topic at hand.
Oh, I know, you just don’t have the time to type your magnum opus.LikeLike
