[Apologies for another overdue sandbox. Boy, they sure fill up fast. I would personally enjoy readers' thoughts on airport massacres, the new venue of choice for terrorists and madmen to carry out mass shootings in highly crowded environments where the shooter is guaranteed by the federal government to be the only one armed (save the readily identifiable and evadable security personnel). And the best part of such exchanges is to once more hear the pinhead progressives conclude that too many CCWs are the real problem. gjr]

Paul, we assess means “we guess”.
I’m more interested in how MSNBC got a copy of the top secret assessments before Trump got briefed on them.LikeLike

George, the Wall as a porosity measure, not a physical thing, would be a more powerful thing if Trump had been making that distinction… He kept doubling down on the physical wall… I expect that was his initial negotiating position, it will soften.

Kinda hard to explain The Wall to some who frequent here in 140 characters of less. 🙂
Gregory @ 12:15pm
“t’s sad to see how much more of a sense of humor the Russians have than Progressives.”More of a sense of humor? Well, more is greater than none so it doesn’t take much.
Dr. Rebane:
Yeah, this Russian thing won’t go away. It’s political advantageous to the Alt-Left to keep the corpse alive by any means available. It’s the only thing that keeps them hanging on. The Last Gaspers cling to it like Hillary grabbing the silverware when leaving the White House back in the Bubba days. Maybe it’s a good thing to let our friends on the dark side of the street pretend they are still revelant.
The Wall was a nice distraction for an hour. Drudge has a story about it this morning, but I haven’t bothered to read it nor plan to. Just not that into it right now. You are correct as usual….probably a yawner.
The silver lining about The Wall is it gets our very own Last Gasper the glorious opportunity to cry out from the wilderness “Trump Lied, Trump lied!!” as evidenced by The Wall posts starting at 8:56 PM last night and ending at 12:07 AM to start the day. That is more exciting that the Wall itself.
12:07 am? Hmmm. Now, that was one long day for our Last Gasper yesterday. He started early in the morn and kept it up past midnight. The voices in his head must have been real loud yesterday. The silver lining is that since I have embraced the hate, the noises in Putang Paulssy’s noggin don’t bother me. 🙂
Yes, the Wall is great symbolic imagery for unapologetically declaring “This is our home.”
Next up on the Last Gasper’s play list is defending Arnold against that meanie Trump. Annie was once a bad hombre, but he was no Trump.

I’m still unsure how Paul manages to ignore the stark but unstated facts that aren’t in the press release, that all of the embarrassing crap flung into the Campaign Fan was true and of Democratic Party origin, no matter their “assessments” of who it was that wanted them known.
I wanted them known, too.LikeLike

Good questions Fish and Walt. Walt, the Russians seem to have a vested interest in Trump becoming President. Knowing the ruthless dictator that Putin is you can bet that it’s for his own personal gain. My guess is that for a start they will remove sanctions imposed during the Crimea invasions. That will please both Putin and Exxon, employer of our new Secretary of State. The opposition of the sanctions by Exxon is well documented on these pages due to my effort. One thing for sure is that this is not Reagan-Gorbachev with their finger on the trigger. Trump and Putin are both crafty self promoters and billionaires always looking to fatten their already bulging wallets. I am very concerned that Trump is out of his league here and Putin will play him like a top. That’s why it was party time in Moscow when Trump got elected. Especially with Trump going gooey about Putin during the campaign. You have faith in this guy walt. I consider his a self basting gobbler with not a clue as to what he’s getting into. I grew to respect Reagan and appreciated his coy wisdom and knowledge of the craft of being President. Trump is off to a very bad start by his ignoring the consequences of playing buddy buddy with Putin. He will learn but the consequences could be disastrous. I hope I’m wrong.
Fish I’ll get to your question later. It’s a very good one.
We have suffered through 16 years of a failed foreign policy. I amnot at all hopeful about the next four.LikeLike

You wrote “hack DNC websites-” or was that in the report. Anyone with a browser can hack a website with the Crome browser. Select the Developers Tool and View Source. Did you mean to say “DNC” server? Did the report mean to say server? The emails were stored on an easly hacked server, not on a web page. Though they can be viewed on a web page.
In intel speak assess means “we guess.” No smoking gun evidence in the report, only a consensus guess by multiple people. Was it a good guess, most likely as the Russians have been hacking government systems ever since the Internet went public a long time ago.
The part that is disturbing is that when the FBI informed the DNC they were a target in 2009 they did nothing. They were so vulnerable that a 14-year-old could hack them. in Hillary’s emails released yesterday by the State Dept, the staff was openly passing around passwords in open emails. You do not need to be a crack Russian hacker to hack the DNC, they were hacked with a phishing email. A very commonly used hacking tool used by thousands of hacker around the world.
You have been distracted by the claim the Russian did it, the Russian did. Maybe they did, but thousands could have. The real issue is the Democrats and you do not want to discuss the contents of the emails which exposed the Democrats for what they really are — bad people, who lie to, cheat on, and defame US voters. Now you know why Trump won!LikeLike

You imply a rather massive conspiracy theory based on implanted Dems out to protect their interests, This would involve all intelligence agencies 16? Not likely. George I believe you to be wrong here. There is something about Trump that is appealing the Russians and it’s pretty creepy to me to think that intelligent people like you are not concerned by the cozy relationship between Trump and Putin. This is not Reagan-Gorbachev but two narcissistic ego maniacs. Putin is a ruthless killer and Trump-well is Trump. You put an awful lot of faith that he can rise to the occasion as President and you know I hope you’re right. I feel Putin will eat him alive and play him like a spring toy.

Perhaps you missed my repeated statement that our foreign policy for the last 16 years has been a total disaster. Duh Doesn’t that include Hillary and Obama. The last real good foreign policy move we have made was when Bush 1 decided to pull out of Iraq after beating the shit out of Saddam. Get the job done and come home. None of this “nation building”crap of Bush 11 and Obama.
My biggest concern about Trump is his self centered narcissistic personality. Why in hell was it important for him to tweet about Arnold’s low ratings on the Survivor TV show? Who gives a rats ass? Just an example. Another was his tirade about the bad review of one of his restaurants. Why does he think anyone cares. He’s a really odd and kinda creepy guy to have his finger on the button but I’m glad he makes you feel good and I hope I’m pleasantly surprised.LikeLike

Anyone who thinks Hillary Clinton is less a narcissist than Trump has a screw loose. That goes for Bubba, too.
The Clintons love voters. Cats love mice.
Johnson did OK, considering he was aced out of the “debates”, consigning the LIB candidate to the back of the bus.
The dynamic is well known and captured by Douglas Adams in “So Long, and Thanks for All the Fish”“On its world, the people are people. The leaders are lizards. The people hate the lizards and the lizards rule the people.”
“Odd,” said Arthur, “I thought you said it was a democracy.”
“I did,” said Ford. “It is.”
“So,” said Arthur, hoping he wasn’t sounding ridiculously obtuse, “why don’t the people get rid of the lizards?”
“It honestly doesn’t occur to them,” said Ford. “They’ve all got the vote, so they all pretty much assume that the government they’ve voted in more or less approximates to the government they want.”
“You mean they actually vote for the lizards?”
“Oh yes,” said Ford with a shrug, “of course.”
“But,” said Arthur, going for the big one again, “why?”
“Because if they didn’t vote for a lizard,” said Ford, “the wrong lizard might get in.”I remember when I first went LIB, Ed Clark and David Koch (yes, THAT David Koch) were running against Carter and Ronald Reagan… I had a number of friends who agreed with EVERYTHING in the LIB platform, but just would not pull that trigger because Carter really was that bad.

Mr. Paul. This is on the up and up. Cross my heart. Something to share….no political or personal points to score:
When I hear the same name or message from 3 different sources in a a short time span, I start paying attention. Here goes:
1) In another time and place, I had a sole conversion with Ali’s Olympic coach in a very relaxed setting.. He said you don’t coach Ali. He has animalistic instincts. Can’t coach that. Can’t coach Ali.
2) Ali was told as a professional that he would never win a fight by keeping his head back. Can’t do it. Never win. Bad plan. Bad game plan. Nobody wins a fight holding their head back. They did not appreciate or know about animalistic instincts. Ali could keep his head back and his animalistic instincts kicked in and he didn’t need his gloves to stave off hits to the face. Head back and fight.
3) You mentioned Ali and bob and weave. Putin is a judo master. Not karate, judo. Karate arm blocks the incoming blows, judo uses a whole different approach to defense. When O kicked the Ruskie Diplomat spies out, Putin just sidestepped it a step by not reacting in kind and watched Obama fall face down on the ground. Didn’t even lay a hand on him. Obama got up and ordered ballalions to 3 different countries on Putin’s border. Putin is a judo master.
4) Ali’s name is popping up in post election political stories.
What’s the moral of this story? I think everything Trump does may be on gut instinct (first). Then verify and make a decision. Uses his daughter for a gut check at times. Animalistic instinct if you allow me. His gut said the Russian hacking the DNC e-mail story smells fishy to him. His gut instincts told him something in the story just not sound rifght. We will never know because we will never see that kind of (classified) Intel in the report. Putin has animalistic instincts as well.
Moral is I think you might be underestimating or not appreciating Trump going by gut instincts. It’s done him well in life…so far.LikeLike

Yo Walt. Good morning. See you are good spirits this morning. Just think of all that gold washing down our mountains. I got gold fever already and it’s only early Jan.
Now, about the press. See that unspeakable “Trump mocking the disabled” story making the rounds again in prime time.. What Meryl and the MSM fail to address is that the disabled person in question is a NYT reporter. Yes, a NYT reporter. He should be mocked, ridiculed, and thrown out in the garage along with the rest of them. Trump went easy on him considering his dastarding profession and the evil he is part of, IIMHO. Oppps, strike that IMHO part.
Now Boardman is not a reporter but a pundit. Noticed he laid it on thick with the WHITE voter line….again. Boy, he really hates W-T. Reading Boardman when he relapses back into his white quilt, I am beginning to hate W-T too….Whitey Privileged Press, that is.
But, being a fair and unbalanced poster, I must remind myself not to fall into the broad brush trap. So, let’s be fair:
“99% of the reporters give the rest a bad name.”
Enjoy: many one liners to borrow, steal, alter, and put it out there when needed. 🙂

You can’t make this up. How friggin insane s that. Unbelievable. I miss miss Air Force One….it’s always been about him…me, me, me, me me,p, I, I, I.
I liked when he said he could win a 3rd term if allowed to run. Well, he went and campaigned hard for Hillary, but it was all about him! He said a vote for Hillary would be a vote for his 3rd term. He said to the black voters and others that he would take it as a personal insult if they did not get out and vote for Hillary. A personal insult.
Looks like he is incapable of even taking an insult. Sociopaths are that way. He made the I’m With Her all about I’m With Him. Him being me, me, me, ROFLMFUEO.
Then he said he improved race relations in America!
Yo Obama, every major city in the US is on the verge of race riots. Ever heard of Blue Lives Matter? Of course not cause they don’t matter since your policies, words, and actions. Ever heard of the Chicago 4 last week torturing a disabled white teenager? Not a peep from the Oral Office. Stuff like that never happened until you became the Post Racial President. If that is improvement, I don’t want you to make things better.
Nothing to see here. Everything Obama touched got broke.

Ike this quote from you link:
Comey also alerted attendees the FBI believes “that hostile actors gained access to the private commercial e-mail accounts of people with whom Secretary Clinton was in regular contact from her personal account.”

Bill, you have a check to write. You used copyrighted words. “You can’t make this up”
Since you left out “stuff” you might have a chance in court. Better ask Barry Pruett.
At least it’s a local “owner”.
