[As the predictable was predicted, the world’s bad guys are having their last 'way' with our globally recognized weak and incompetent outgoing president.  Brazenly taking our submersible was just the most recent case of incoming international insults.  Few note that the Chinese didn’t even need to steal the ‘drone’, for stealing means to take something surreptitiously so as to deny the owner an opportunity to defend his property.  Here the Chinese just took the damn thing in front of our eyes while giving us the finger with an ‘Up yours!’, knowing that we neither could nor would defend our property.  These same moves are intended to also set up tests for President Trump in order to quickly reveal what kind of leader America has now elected.  gjr]

Paul, unless and until Nevada County actually votes in a majority (that’s 50% plus one or more) Democrat, you really can’t claim it’s Democratic country. 47% is short, especially when you consider the disparity with the state as a whole, in the neighborhood of 2/3rds DEM or Baghdad By The Bay that’s over 4/5ths.
In the meantime, there’s a big bunch of judgeships to be filled in Washington DC, not to mention one Justice, and Harry Reid was kind enough to leave the nuclear option in place that will keep the Dems unable to stop McConnell from going forward if he wants to.

Paul, County Supes… is their party identified on the ballot and in ballot information packets, or not?
Nevada City Fats used to be scrupulous about the non-partisan nature of our local “non-partisan” races. But that was before Hall showed up and he became a Blue Meanie rather than Mr. Purple.

Outside of Colorado, when patients do end up in an emergency room, the diagnosis is often missed. Partly because doctors don’t know about CHS, and partly because patients don’t want to admit to using a substance that’s illegal.
Recreational marijuana measures pass in four states
CHS can lead to dehydration and kidney failure, but usually resolves within days of stopping drug use.

So what are the Trumplet’s going to do when he says sorry I didn’t mean that about NAFTA There’s no way he’s going to go against the economic reality that there are billions of dollars invested overseas by American companies In manufacturing because of the cheap labor Trumplet’s. I like that I think I coined the phrase

False premise. Trump said clearly that NAFTA is to renegotiated because it is the worse trade deal in history. Renegotiate is the operative word. Weeks ago both the Prime Minister of Canada and President of Mexico have publicly expressed eagerness to redo NAFTA. False premise that Trump is going to drop out of NAFTA, thus the argument is to rejected.
“billions of dollars invested oversees” has nothing to do with the North American Free Trade Act. Mexico, US, and Mexico are not overseas, thus another false premise that must be rejected. Shit for brains.

Free trade is fine as long as it is fair trade. Fair trade. The US is Mexico’s largest trading partner. Trump certainly got Mexico’s attention and they came running. Canada came running as well. Time to sit down and make it fair trade.
Trump got NATO’s attention as well. He called out the freeloaders. While the Pauls of the world were yelling “the sky is falling”, the ‘poor’ NATO countries suddenly paid their bar tab up and current. Too easy, and he isn’t even President yet. If you want to play, you are going to pay…..your fair share.
Trump called out Boeing for the outrageous costs of the new Air Force One. Suddenly the price drops. Best quote: “We want Boeing to make a lot of money, but not that much money.” Priceless.
The common theme is to call out those who are screwing us over. If we are being screwed, Trump will call them out. We want Mexico and Canada to make tons of money, but not make tons of money due to unfair agreements that screw us over. The Art of the Deal starts with getting their undivided attention. That is a good starting point.

The only guarantees in life are death, taxes, and Paul’s Trump Derangement Syndrome. He has already announced twice, thrice that he is going to have fun for the next two years. Yes, and I am having fun watching the monkey trying to hump the football. Somebody toss Paul another banana.
Poor tortured gentle soul, he is trapped here. He cannot get away. Impossible. He is our monkey to throw peanuts at and amuse ourselves on boring evenings. It’s Karma, man. The more you try to control things, the more you are controlled by them, i.e., us deplorables. He cannot escape. He is trapped by a law stronger than the Law of Gravity, a chain more unbreakable than any chain made on Earth. It’s Karma, man. What you sow is what you reap, lol. He is our own rump ranger now.
He is just another FUE. They are controlled by their obsessive need to control. Trapped in their own snare, ROFLMFUEO.
Ganja? Maybe, maybe not. I was going to recommend yoga, but judging by Hillary’s 30,000 e-mails about yoga and considering the wobbly shape she is in, perhaps yoga is not the best recommendation. Ganja can’t hurt when you reached a certain point. Can’t help either.

I didn’t say some folks didn’t have partisan interests in the Supes, only that the Supes are literally a non-partisan office. You obviously seem to have a partisan interest in them, I don’t.
Pelline used to have a solid non partisan view of the Supes but that seems to have changed with his new focus (and yours) in defining Nevada County as a “Blue” county despite the nearly even split between GOP and DEM votes and a lack of a majority DEM vote even when there isn’t any GOP Presidential campaigning here as a cost cutting measure.
Remind me… how many Clinton signs were stolen in Nevada County? Any comparison to the numbers of Trump signs stolen or defaced? Just wondering.

On the first day at State, all newbies are given a security briefing and training on the most important task State employees face, I.e. handling State communications. The SAP (Special Acess Program) is a biggie. It’s all about following protocol. There are established procedures in place for everything and anything, including when a embassy or consulate is under attack. But, no use beating a dead mule.

Also as you know all intelligence agencies have stated that there has been meddling in our elections by Russia.
I’m sure Putin is not too worried. The Rumpers will come to the rescue. 37% of Republicans have a favorable or somewhat favorable view of Putin.

They were wrong on that one but I believe they acted out of Patriotism believing on the intelligence offered by the CIA that has since been shown to be wrong. Even Trump recognizes that to the extent he called Bush a liar and called for his impeachment. Hillary of course also went for it but not Obama.
Of course you’re gonna respond by saying that the CIA were wrong in that assessment what’s to say they might be wrong on this one. I’ll pre respond by saying:
“Fish, at last you agree the war in Iraq was wrong, something I never heard from you before”
Of course the might be wrong but their assessment has been convincing to 99 Senators according to McCain and Graham.

This is Trump in ’08 talking about impeaching Bush. Based on the CNN transcript from Oct. 15, 2008
Trump: “I was surprised that she didn’t do more in terms of Bush and going after Bush. It was almost — it just seemed like she was going to really look to impeach Bush and get him out of office, which, personally, I think would have been a wonderful thing.”
    Blitzer: “Impeaching him?”
Trump: “Absolutely, for the war, for the war.”
Blitzer: “Because of the conduct of the war.”
Trump: “Well, he lied. He got us into the war with lies. And, I mean, look at the trouble Bill Clinton got into with something that was totally unimportant. And they tried to impeach him, which was nonsense. And, yet, Bush got us into this horrible war with lies, by lying, by saying they had weapons of mass destruction, by saying all sorts of things that turned out not to be true.”

Also indications are that he will “payback” the gesture with a kinder and gentler approach to Putin. That of course is my speculation but time will tell.

Yes, the primary was rigged due to special pre-ordained delegates. On this I agree with Trump. In my view it would have been a walk in the park if Joe would have run for example. Probably true with Warren or Bernie. Just my speculation, no way to prove it. To their credit the Pubber Party had an open primary with 16 candidates. This is much to their credit and I applaud them

Scenes 1234pm – Don’t know whether Adams is especially smart or just one of the growing group of laymen who are just now beginning to understand that any discussion of global warming is a complex multi-factor issue with a causal chain or sequence that requires a lot of corroborating data before we can conclude that we have preventable man-made global warming happening. The overwhelming fraction of people (and ALL progressives) can’t get their heads around that concept.
On RR and the SESF website I have explicated the process a number of times. Even some among our readership have pooh-poohed such an analysis as excessively complex(?!) for discussion and making public policy. Anyway, thanks for the link; Adams poses a necessary question about the reliability of climate models which any scientist worth his salt will admit are TOTALLY unreliable for a number of reasons of which ignorance of the underlying science(s) is just one.
