Dear reader, if my vindicated contempt for the Left’s protesting our election results with street demonstrations and riots shows, then you will have correctly deduced my mindset regarding these know-nothings be they of the planned-and-paid-for or spontaneous kind.  As the dust begins to settle, some very telling stats are being compiled on the devastation that this election delivered to what will remain of Obama’s legacy and the Democratic Party (more here).  I am still looking for one single thing benefiting our country that was delivered by Team Obama.

The motley make-up of Hillary’s supporters caused some unnecessarily raised eyebrows on the Right.  Perhaps most puzzling to many people was the support she received from many seeming free-market capitalists in Silicon Valley.  The puzzle quickly disappears when the background and corporate interests of these large technology companies are considered.  The major companies are dyed-in-the-wool corporatists who have been working closely for years with a federal government for a globalist future premised on the demise of a world order based on Westphalian sovereign nation-states.  They best of all understand how immune from the regulatory and tax policies of a partnering government they will be in these pre-Singularity years. (more here)

The useful idiots demonstrating against Trump’s and the Republicans’ victories have no idea that they are the manipulated minions of the country’s miscreant party.  In government schools the history of the Democratic Party has been reformulated where possible and expunged where not.  It is safe to say that only a minuscule fraction of Americans are familiar with the issues and policies that the Democratic Party has promoted and defended since they came into being under President Andrew Jackson.  Most of us are ignorant of the Democrats (north and south) as being the defenders of slavery, the founders and backbone of the KKK, implementers of Jim Crow segregation, champions of eugenics and social Darwinism, students of fascist European economies, opponents of women’s rights, … the list goes on.  In the aggregate, the Republicans were on the other side of every one of these issues, and then came the Big Switch.  (A fully referenced summary, can be found in the recent (2016) Hillary’s America – The Secret History of the Democratic Party by Dinesh D’Souza.  And here I invite refutation of the historical citations and not an ad hominem denigration of the messenger.)

As previously recorded in these pages, the Democrats became civil rights champions with the advent of President Lyndon Johnson’s Great Society programs – a potpourri of public policies enacted into the most cynically enforced laws the country has seen, laws designed to institutionalize ‘the plantation’ for the unwitting and pre-educated blacks and other minorities – the government’s own statistics tell the tale.  The Great Society was grounded on shibboleths taught by modern Marxists like Saul Alinsky in his 1971 Rules for Radicals wherein Rule #1 was to turn the tables and accuse your opposition of the exact same iniquities of which you yourself are guilty.   This tactic gained facility with the Left’s co-opting of state schools and our Fourth Estate.  Today an established plank of common wisdom is that Democrats are the good guys for the working people, and the Republicans are the bad guys assuring the fortunes of the evil 1%. Barack Hussein Obama and Hillary Rodham Clinton are both the ideological scions of Saul Alinsky.

No one should take from here that I would refuse anyone’s right to peacefully protest anything to their heart’s content as long as they don’t illegally gum up the process and progress of civil society which in America is founded on mores and values formalized in the US Constitution.  Last I looked, this election was fair and legal with an outcome guaranteed to displease half of a very ideologically divided country.

What divides us the most is that half of us would like to overturn our constitutional government and remake our country into a borderless globalist region retaining ‘America’ as its label only for geographical convenience and continuity.  The people in the streets and their elitist sponsors want to tear down what I have spent my life working to build up.  Sadly, these people are no more ‘my fellow Americans’ than are me and mine theirs.  Now it is time for all of us to honor our history and exceptionalism, and let the established peaceful transfer of power take place.

[Later] The highly organized anti-Trump protests continued today.  I recall that after the obviously incompetent and inexperienced Section 8 president was elected in 2008, the Right just hunkered down to plan its preparations for the next election.  An immediate result was the spontaneous formation of Tea Parties across the land which later united into several national political organizations that worked to elect a Republican House in 2010, and then continued on to bring about a Republican Congress in 2014.  Jo Ann and I were part of the committee that formed one of the nation’s seminal Tea Parties right here in Nevada County under the leadership of Mark and father Stan Meckler.  We didn’t protest Obama’s election even though we knew it would be a giant backward step for America.  The election was legal and that was that.  Our job was to work the established political protocols of our land and do our best in the next election.  However, that approach has never been the response of the Left here and around the world – violence and disruption has always been part and parcel of their tactics when legitimate political action fails.

TrumpProtesters

[Later still]  The Bullshit Department – it’s always good to revisit it from time to time.  Besides being woefully wrong, the pollsters and pundits lectured us for months that Hillary was the candidate of the intellectually blessed, and only the double dummies would vote for Trump.  And that would be doubly true for women, especially those who could hold down a job in the workplace.

Well, as the election results continue to roll in and are analyzed, the truth is quite different from the output of the progressives’ perpetual propaganda pump.  It turns out that Trump garnered 49% of the college grads’ votes to Hillary’s 45%.  And working women overwhelmingly went for Trump over Hillary 62% to 38%.  It is left as an exercise to determine the aggregate qualifications of those who voted for Mrs Clinton.

In looking at these results, Democrat pundits now acknowledge that the progressives tacked too far left too quickly.  What goes unsaid but not unnoticed by the astute observer is that the Left again let out how extreme are its ultimate political goals and its driving ideology.

[14nov16 update]  The lamestream media has not given up on Trump, conservatives, Republicans, and everyone else they see slowing down America on its appointed road to being governed by a socialist leviathan.  The so-called balanced ‘news reports’ from the Associated Press to our local Union continue their blatant ideological editorializing.  This morning’s AP report on staffing the Trump White House is another thinly veiled hit piece on the new Republican administration (here).

AP correspondent Julie Pace who contributed to the story is a frequent FN panelist.  There she comes across as a balanced mid-roader that bears no relation to what she writes at her day job.  I have found that also to be the case with similar guest panelists who are journalists for NYT, WaPo, … .  The message and its delivery is customized to the audiences.

For openers, the Left and its light-thinking terminally progressive journalists have created and launched “white nationalism” as the new pejorative label defining its (here, note the references) ideology as based on fascism, Nazism, and cozy with the KKK’s founding tenets.  If you happen to be Caucasian and believe in the continued sovereignty of the United States, you are branded a white nationalist with all the implied baggage that this carries.  Beyond the journalists, our population of thought-optional snowflakes are the first demographic to swallow full weight of this appellation hook, line, and sinker.

Trump’s picking Breitbart’s Steve Bannon to a senior WH staff position is the newest post-election cause célèbre to assure that the nation’s ideological schism continues to grow.  HufPost pulls no punches – “At Breitbart, Bannon helped make the hardline populist website a go-to resource for white nationalists and the alt-right, according to the Southern Poverty Law Center, which monitors hate groups.” (emphasis mine)

Locally this soft leftwing vitriol is picked up by our own Union columnist and RR reader, George Boardman.  Now to be accurate, Mr Boardman’s column makes no obvious attempt to be fair and balanced – he is a man with strong progressive predilections and hopes that you will be bathed in the same light that illuminates his world.  No shame in that; I’ve been known to cobble a few words together now and then for the same purpose.  But these pages do contain some of Mr Boardman’s critiques that undeniably imply that he is a man who seldom strays from the middle or has a strong ideological perspective.

Today’s Boardman column in the 14nov16 Union (here) is a stark illustration of this assessment of leftwing journalism.  His piece on the election’s winners and losers describes the reaction of rightwing “militia groups” converging on Washington if Trump had lost the election.  He states that “the election was rigged” since the popular vote didn’t determine the winner – well yes, the Founders’ electoral college purposely has rigged the system as a democratic republic based on the federalized states to specifically avoid giving us a popular vote destroying democracy.  Mr Boardman is no dummy and knows this; however through his critique he exposes his preferences for America’s future.

He goes on to imply that President-elect Trump is a borderline idiot with whom “there is a possibility that (he) will realize he now has the most serious job in the world …”.  Mr Boardman dismisses the actual email evidence that condemned Donna Brazile’s role with the DNC and CNN, instead spinning it as her “allegedly passing debate questions to Clinton” and therefore sharing the blame for Hillary’s defeat.  And then we have the gratuitous slap at Senate majority leader McConnell who is accused of taking an unnamed and “unprincipled position” which is “always the best one to take when it comes to politics.”

Our indefatigable columnist then fingers Breitbart and Drudge Report for failing some on-high imposed but never claimed standards of “fairness” which resulted in biases that were missed by the seemingly guileless and fair-minded mainstream media.  And then he delivers his coup de grace – “Maybe we’re evolving toward the European model, where you pick your media based on your political affiliation.” (my emphasis)  There is little I can say in response to this massive insight other than, ‘Welcome to planet Earth Mr Boardman where it was ever thus.’

None of the above should be taken to imply that George Boardman is not a gentleman who labors diligently in the vineyards of dispensing progressive thought as he has every right to do.  In these pages we are blessed by the breadth and vision he brings to this sometimes chaotic forum.  And to put a bow on it, my own thoughts on ‘fair and balanced’ can be found here.

Observables are fine, but what is evil about protesting what you’ve been told is racist yada yada yada? Idiotic fits, misguided fits, myopic fits. Amoral? Evil? No.
Now, Melissa Click-style faculty activism? Amoral probably does fit, maybe even evil. Assault and battery (from my viewing) by a Missou faculty member against a student journalist appropriately practicing his craft on his campus should have resulted in immediate dismissal without faculty opposition.
If a faculty member accompanied the students and directed their activities… (cue that low frequency groan that Lurch was so good at).

I’m sure all have heard that Trump is going to “stick it” to sanctuary cities.
Those cities are now speaking openly about defying whatever Trump lays forth.
We will see soon enough just which is more important. Money, or their precious illegals. What will Frisco do when all that FED money dries up? How bout Chicago?
That town in on FED life support.
They talk big now. Lets see when the chips are down.

Besides the fact that this woman is factually wrong, it’s obvious the Dems aren’t going to learn anything from getting their butt kicked. THEY didn’t do anything wrong – it’s the Americans voters’ fault.

    This just in! –
    News Update from Canada
The flood of Trump-fearing American liberals sneaking across the border into Canada has intensified in the past week. The Republican presidential campaign is prompting an exodus among left-leaning Americans who fear they’ll soon be required to hunt, pray, pay taxes, obey the law, and live according to the U.S. Constitution.
Canadian border residents say it’s not uncommon to see dozens of sociology professors, liberal arts majors, global-warming activists, pampered athletes, movie stars, and “green” energy proponents crossing their fields at night.
“I went out to milk the cows the other day, and there was a Hollywood producer huddled in the barn,” said southern Manitoba farmer Red Greenfield, whose acreage borders North Dakota. “He was cold, exhausted and hungry, and begged me for a latte and some free-range chicken. When I said I didn’t have any, he left before I even got a chance to show him my screenplay, eh?”
In an effort to stop the illegal aliens, Greenfield erected higher fences, but the liberals scaled them. He then installed loudspeakers that blared Rush Limbaugh across the fields, but they just stuck their fingers in their ears and kept coming. Officials are particularly concerned about smugglers who meetliberals just south of the border, pack them into electric cars, and drive them across the border, where they are simply left to fend for themselves after the battery dies.
“A lot of these people are not prepared for our rugged conditions,” an Alberta border patrolman said. “I found one carload without a single bottle of Perrier water, or any gemelli with shrimp and arugula. All they had was a nice little NapaValley cabernet and some kale chips. When liberals are caught, they’re sent back across the border, often wailing that they fear persecution from Trump high-hairers.
Rumors are circulating about plans being made to build re-education camps where liberals will be forced to drink domestic beer, study the Constitution, and find jobs that actually contribute to the economy.
In recent days, liberals have turned to ingenious ways of crossing the border. Some have been disguised as senior citizens taking a bus trip to buy cheap Canadian prescription drugs. After catching a half-dozen young vegans in blue-hair wig disguises, Canadian immigration authorities began stopping buses and quizzing the supposed senior citizens about Perry Como and Rosemary Clooney to prove that they were alive in the ’50s.
“If they can’t identify the accordion player on The Lawrence Welk Show, we become very suspicious about their age,” an official said.
Canadian citizens have complained that the illegal immigrants are creating an organic-broccoli shortage, are buying up all the Barbara Streisand CD’s, and are overloading the internet while downloading jazzercise apps to their cell phones.
“I really feel sorry for American liberals, but the Canadian economy just can’t support them,” an Ottawa resident said. “After all, how many art-history majors does one country need?

Most people assume that when Trump was saying the system was rigged, he meant the Dems were rigging it against the Pubs. Not sure about that, but the Dems were rigging it against Bernie. Every time a candidate is trotted out because some committee of insiders say it is that candidate’s turn – they are asking for trouble.
It is about the issues – not about whose turn it is.

I think arrogance played a factor. Everyone has an opinion and my opinion is there were many factors, with arrogance being right up there. The “it’s her turn” demand forced Hillary on a party that did really not want her, not really. IMHO I was dumbfounded that Hillary would hit the trail only a few days a week (mostly to the friendly confines of fund raisers), went 9 months without a real press conference, and all in all felt that fighting to earn the job by campaigning hard was beneath her. She felt she was above the campaign trail. It was her turn.

    Back on topic: The Roar.
This one caught me off guard. I did not to ever expect the Progressives, the Media, and the DNC turn their attention to odd phrases such as “working class white Americans”, white rural working Americans”. rural American”, “struggling white workers”, etc.
Seems so strange, so unfamiliar, something you would hear from a different era. Guess they figured out that what was missing from the Obama Coalition: people like me. All of a sudden I am not an object of derision, but something to be wooed. Go figure. If they ever bothered to reach out to me before today, I could have told them it was about jobs, not spending a gazillion trillion bucks on Climate Change or checking my white priviledge at the door…a door that said Keep Out.
I might have said that there was no place for me in your party because you decided you don’t need nor want me, thus my opinion is to be ignored, dismissed, and ridiculed. All I wanted to tell ya was “It’s the economy, stupid.” You never once said “I feel your pain.” That’s all I wanted. No handouts, no special treatment, no victimhood, just acknowledge my right to exist. I never wanted to be superior or in with the In Crowd. I just wanted someone to say “you have worth because you are an everyday American.
Guess they value me now, but that will change soon enough. Finally got my 5 minutes of fame. Thank ya Masta, thank ya Masta. I be happy now, Masta.
