[Putin is making nice with Iran and Turkey, two competitors for the new Mideast hegemon. That sure looks like the latest, and possibly the worst, Foxtrot Uniform of Obama's foreign policy, leaving Russia as the new 'go-to power' if you want to get anything done in the region. When you decide to lead from behind, then the view never gets any better and the smell gets worse. gjr]

Yep, Russian is the big one. Now there are 100,000 Iranian troops in Iraq. Need a new and improved reset button I reckon.
Allow me to bring the topic closer to home in light of Iran and Russia and other potential threats as recently discussed on the campaign trail.
Campaign trail. Yes, Biden is that stupid. Points out who is carrying the bag to launch nuclear codes in the audience. Hey, it’s that guy over there! What a dimwit.
http://unclesamsmisguidedchildren.com/biden-reveals-us-secrets-claiming-trump-reveal-us-secrets/
To top that off, Biden keeps the Secret Service/ military van with the bag for launching nukes parked a mile away from his home because he does not like all the cars in front of his house. BJust a regular guy. Yes, the bag to launch nuclear weapons is down the street when he is skinny dipping in his pool. Biden also keeps the personal Physican at bay, down the street. One heart beat from the President? Stupid is as stupid does. At least his hands that are busy touching every female under the sun is not on the launch codes. Always a silver lining.
“And on top of all that — and this is probably the worst of all — when he goes up to Wilmington, Biden instructs his agents to keep the military aide with the nuclear football for unleashing a nuclear counterstrike at least a mile behind in the motorcade. Biden, like most politicians, is fixated on his image. He wants to maintain the image of the regular Joe, working-class guy. So he doesn’t want to have a long motorcade when he goes to Wilmington.
But the result is that if Obama were taken out, we would be defenseless against a nuclear attack. Because, of course, there wouldn’t be time for the nuclear football to catch up with Biden. Height of irresponsibility. The worst judgment you can imagine.”

To top it off, his advice would have his constituents end up in jail. What a moron.

Interestingly, Iran does not experience any more suicide bombings than we do. Maybe they should be running Iraq since they seem to be, at least, relatively politically and culturally stable (for whatever reason)…not saying that they wouldn’t have their share of trouble managing Iraq…

Oh when you have a huge police state and all those informants, plus no weapons in the hands of the regular folks you get a great East Germany circa post WW2.

Splitting up Iraq by tribe/faction should have been done a long time ago…the artificial boundaries drawn up by brain dead Brits in the early 20th century are worth abandoning.
However, the lack of Sunni suicide bombers in Shia Iran has more to do with the Sunnis knowing they’re not exactly welcome and to not rock the boat. Yes, police states and religious autocracies do appear to be stable, until they aren’t.LikeLike

Ever wonder why Iran is not bringing in all those Syrians. Hell it is just a stones throw from Aleppo. A lot cheaper for the travelers and it would show the world the big heart those Mullahs have.

Yes, tyrannies not only appear stable but are the most stable form of government. Any given tyranny may be short lived, only to be replaced by its successor. And it really breaks me up to read about liberal Jews being blindsided by America’s blacks. For an ethnic group that correctly prides itself on intelligence, they sure have a centuries old aggregate blind spot when it comes to supporting modes of governance that serve their best interests. Something about collectivism serving equally in the large as it does in the small.

Trump reshuffles his campaign staff again, but there’s no point in rearranging the deck chairs on the Titanic because The Donald’s going to double-down on the campaign style that put him behind. I guess he never heard the admonition to stop digging when you’re already in a hole.

Climate Crusaderβ California Governor Jerry Brown on Big Oil Payroll
Climate skeptics on this blog have often been accused of being on the big oil payroll just for having an opinion on climate change. What a suprize to discover California biggest climate cursader taking big money from big oil.
Consumer Watchdog Report Finds Big Energy Companies Gave Big $ and Got Big Favors From Governor Brown With Dollars and Decisions Flowing In Close Proximity To Each Other
Here are two examples:The report says that in November 2011, former governor Gray Davis β by then a lawyer for Los Angeles-based Occidental Petroleum Corp. β pressured Brown to fire two oil and gas regulators the company felt were slow to grant injection well permits for hydraulic fracturing (fracking). Two months later, Oxy contributed $250,000 to Brownβs Proposition 30 tax increase initiative, and shortly after that gave $100,000 to a pet Brown charity, the Oakland Military Institute. This surely looks like old-fashioned pay-to-play, and boosting βfrackingβ as well. Maybe heβs allowing fracking because the money is just too good.
The report shows that in June 2013, tough regulations were dropped from Senate Bill 4, a bill intended to restrict βfrackingβ. The same day, Chevron Corporation gave $135,000 to the Democratic Party. Several months later, Chevron wrote the party a $350,000 check and a week later, the party put $300,000 into Brownβs re-election campaign fund. On the same day, Chevron plunked $54,400 (the legal maximum) into Brownβs election coffer.Do you remember all his tought talk in Paris, during the climate change conference, delaring California to be a leaders in anthropogenic climate change and CO2 emission reductions?
There is more. HERE is the Watchdog Press ReleaseLikeLike

Hey Paul:
Denmark has a problem: it may soon be unable to afford offering such a good deal to its people.
Free health care for all, a $757 monthly stipend for college students and robust safety nets for the less fortunate all cost money β Denmark devotes slightly more than 30 percent of its gross domestic product to social spending, one of the highest levels in the rich world.
According to the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development, such a βgenerous welfare system requires robust public finances.β And while Denmarkβs βseem sustainableβ for now, the assumptions that underpin that view carry a high level of uncertainty, the OECD warned in a recent survey.
Take labor market participation.
True, an unemployment rate below 4 percent is one of Europe’s lowest, and industry frequently complains about shortages in skilled labor. But population projections show that Denmark’s 600 billion-krone ($91 billion) welfare system is facing a future of more customers and fewer people around to pick up the bill.

Funny, we had a moment in the sun in the late 60’s and early early 70’s. The movies Billy Jack and Little Bigman, the gun fight with the FBI at Wounded Knee and other spots (same result as the first Wounded Knee) and the book I Buried My Heart at Wounded Knee flying off the shelves being bought up by bespectacled paleface Bozos donning tweed and corduroy jackets with brown patches on the elbows in Bay City. OK, hears a good one that happened at work today.
I was working on a repair project, and a man and a woman walked up saying they got kicked out of the place they were at last night because his girlfriend wouldn’t have sex with the guy. They had a flat tire and wondered if I could fix it… Well now…Yes Bill, I almost went there. ( Seems it just not your day! I don’t fix tires for free!) But no,,, I didn’t.
Something said,” no,, don’t you say it!”. So I fixed the tire. Then they come back needing a jack. then a lug wrench. Little did I know CHP even paid them a visit. I was lucky to get the jack back.
By the looks of things, and their car, they were couch surfers.LikeLike

Californiaβs globally irrelevant, costly, elitist driven and purely political climate change campaign
Governor Brown and his cronies are so blinded by their own misguided political and ideological beliefs concerning climate issues that they are driving state policy in directions which are imposing harsh, unjustified and unnecessary costs, restrictions and mandates that add burdens to the lives of tens of millions of Californians who struggle to make ends meet each and every day.
The states ruling bureaucracy is lost in a contrived make believe world of man made climate change political assertions built upon nothing but speculation and conjecture unconnected to and unsupported by real data but for which limitless amounts of bureaucratic meddling and interference can be justified and imposed upon the states peoples.
Governor Brownβs climate change actions and proposals represent nothing less than a disaster for Californiaβs economy, individual freedom and future prosperity.

We were hearing about the hottest year ever from our local lefty trolls, but it appears they are not up their science. In fact they seem to have disappeared.
Scientist: βAll the hoopla about this being hottest year ever is contradicted by findings from Antarctic ice coresβ
Scientist: ‘All the hoopla about this being the hottest year ever is contradicted by findings from Antarctic ice cores that during the Eemian, the last interglacial (LIG; 130,000β115,000 years ago), global climate was warmer than today and global mean sea level was 6-9βm higher’.
I wonder what were the anthropogenic CO2 sources during the last interglacial that cause all that warming and sea level rise? It must have been natural, just like the current warming and sea level rise, a natural process.LikeLike
