[OK, the last one filled super-fast. Time to talk about the truck attack in Nice, and what that portends for future easy-to-execute lone wolf terror on our shores. And why is the lamestream again trying to represent this Muslim as a confused man with family troubles, instead of someone who was organized enough to assemble quite a collection of guns and grenades with which he intended more misery than he delivered? And then there’s Trump’s announcement of Pence as his Number Two. And now the coup in Turkey. We must recall the words of Turkey’s president Recep Tayyip Erdogan, “Islam is Islam; there are no modifiers. Democracy is the train we ride to our ultimate objective.” gjr]

Great to see the GOP finally coming together today in their show of unity 🙂
OMG, its going to fun to hear and watch the booing in prime time this week!
And thank god they dumped that C-list celeb Tim Tebow for someone much more famous and respected. So its great to see Scott Baio, that famous 55 year old heartthrob from 4 decades past. This guy predates Reagan! LOL. Awesome stuff.

Dozer, watch it for me. Somebody has to. I am listening to what Your Gal was just telling the NAACP lthis lovely morning less than 24 hrs after 3 more heros were gunned down in Baton Rouge. Same as what Obama just said today. Hmm.
Same spiel,….the bodies haven’t even been laid to rest and they start with the obligatory opening state about there is no justification for killing cops, Let me made that clear, blah, blah, blah.. With that pleasantly said and swept aside, they both got down to business. The nation’s police force must show restraint! Blame the cops, lol. Well, at least Obama, Hillary, and the taco stuffer are all on the same page. Reform the police, do not blame the po colored folk ambushing members on The Thin Blue Line.
About time it’s all out in the open…..hey, let’s federalize the local police….it’s the answer!!! It’s all the dead cops fault. Better keep an eye on those corpuses sneaking out of the grave and running about shooting po colored people just for kicks.
Yo Dozer we are a little short handed here on the other side due to the recent events and loss of manpower. Be a dear and watch them grave sites for us, will ya. Report anything suspectious. Thank you.

Speaking of disallowed opinions, Ferguson’s Michael Brown, under the influence and in the immediate aftermath of a strongarm theft from a convenience store, reached into a patrol car to punch the officer and try to take his gun, taunted the officer saying he “was too much of a pussy to shoot” him, and was shot while advancing on the officer who repeatedly told him stop and lay down on the ground.
The “hands up, don’t shoot” story was related by Brown’s companion at the convenience story theft and uncorroborated by any credible witness, but despite this, it remains a rallying cry of the Black Lives Matter movement.
If the above ruffles your feathers, try reading the final report of the Federal Justice department under Eric Holder who rushed down there in the aftermath to make sure someone got charged.
Michael Brown’s mom will reportedly be a guest at the Democratic National Convention to support Hillary. If I’d pulled a Michael Brown at age 18 against a cop 6″ shorter and 2/3rds my weight, my folks would be avoiding the limelight, burying me in a private ceremony and taking every opportunity to apologize for my actions.

I’d say Pelline is currently fisting the Dozer sock, only an expert in empty rhetoric (Jeff’s major at Cal) can pull that off so well.

On a related note, Reinette Senum has identified “Rachel French” posting at the FUE’s as a sock puppet, and Jeffie also lets a certain Sierra College professor to drool under the “Joe Koyote” banner while claiming to require real names only at his blog. How many socks are currently throwing chunks into Jeff’s fan?
If Jeff didn’t have double standards he’d have no standards at all.

Gregory, Steve F is miles above Pelline, miles. What I am going to say may not tickle your fancy, but here goes:
Re: that pesky discrete matter in Nevada City that Pelline wants to go way, yet he is now the only one talking about it. Go figure.
Steve F laid out the very best argument articulating what I feel concerning the local dust up that did not remain confined to the city limits of The Berkely of the Foothills per normal.
I could not have said it better, been more even kneeled, or more articulate than Steve’s one post at Pelline’s blog. I wrote a 100 times the words and 20 times the comments, yet failed to get it out the way Steve did. He gets a star in my book. Then again, since I leave the AWG stuff to you and Russ and those who are in the know, I am twice removed and more objective than you when it comes to Steve. I give him a big Good Job, Mr. Steve. Gotta give credit where credit is due. Of course this kudos is buried in the “old sandbox”. 🙂

I think that Reinette’s original comment that, “They have obviously been given directives to go out there and kill,’ is still the operative comment. For someone to ‘give directives’ there must be premeditation, and sans presented proof of premeditation is irresponsible talk, especially for a public official who oversees a law enforcement agency. It was an ill-conceived inflammatory and conspiratorial comment, which is indicative of deeper oft demonstrated thought processes.
With that said, and as I said here, I don’t believe the response against Reinette’s business and her person was warranted and are bordering on disgusting. People should be secure in holding even unpopular beliefs.
But then again, I don’t think chem-trails are real, there is almost no evidence that genetically modified food is inherently dangerous, I don’t think there is a conspiracy to control the media, I vehemently disagree with recommending that people not get vaccinated, and I don’t believe that the profit motive is inherently corrupt or that it inherently corrupts people or processes.
I do question people (un-named) left, right or center, male or female, of any race, creed or color, who make factually unsupportable statements and then defend them with nonsense like the idea that “all opinions are equal” which I have seen all to often here and on other Nevada County forums.
Thinking all ‘opinions’ are equal is the same thing as thinking science does not exist, evidence is irrelevant, facts and knowledge are irrelevant. It is sloppy, undisciplined and irrational thinking.
An opinion by definition is “a view or judgment formed about something, not necessarily based on fact or knowledge.”
All opinions are not equal; opinions supported by evidence, fact and knowledge are superior.
If you don’t want your ‘opinions’ deconstructed don’t post them on public forums. If you state an ‘opinion’ you should be prepared to support it with facts, knowledge, research, logic, etc.
I also question the practice of, after stating an ‘opinion’ publicly, painting people who deconstruct that ‘opinion’ as bullies. We should be responsible for what we believe and even more responsible when we state it publicly. We should also have the ability to say without shame, “upon further evidence and reflection I have changed my opinion.”
Facts exist, science exists, and there is such a thing as truth. Granted truth may change as new facts come in, and we should be constantly searching for new facts, but in the mean time we can only act on the facts we have, and seek more.
Belief without facts is actually emotion. Lampooning such beliefs is not libel it is art.
