Before I moved to the boondocks, I used the wonder why the suicide rate is higher in rural areas than in the metro areas where I spent most of my life.
Reading the blogs up here gives me a clue. There are a lot of angry, frustrated people living here, maybe more than I ever encountered in the big, bad Bay Area.
Lighten up, guys. It’s just a noxious weed.

Well, Mr. or Ms. P. Dickerson. If you want to play the old angry white men card, you need to stand in line. You are a decade late anyway. Hey, we banter back and forth. But, your primary pearls of wisdom is to personally attack Don and by association Todd. Me thinks you are not being a good advocate for whatever your passion issue is….it gets lost in some real anger issues. Hate the policy, not the man.
Sure, I have called the fat slob an overflowing vat of grease dripping and Dr. Rebane told me to pipe down. Yeah, it’s hard not to go personal. Heck, The Scooper has on at least two occasions (maybe 3) quoted in apparent shock and awe MY exact words to a draft dodging piece of crap yelling “baby burners” as a welcome home present….er…I said the best thing about him ran down his mama’s leg. Quote unquote. But then, even a lout as I let it ride. Even Mr. Dover and moi call each other hurtful names, but we don’t go to the extremes you seem to take it.
Yep, the anger old whiteman applies to us here, even a half bred Injun such as moi.
As far as my limited knowledge goes, recreational marijuana is not legal in CA as of this writing. Go ahead, start a recall petition AKA the Sam Strange murder case. Gather your forces and go for it. May the winning side win. Winning side win? That sounds kinda weird, but I digress.
Just cut the crap. I am certain you are better than that sleaze ball you appear to me. Probably much better. You are better than that. 99.9% of the population is! you I will cut ya some slack as well.
Come on, there is Trump and George W, and Dick Cheney to attack. Plenty of targets to go after. Even My Gal Hillary is a nice big target, despite spending over one million dollars of campaign money to counter the Bernie Bros vitriol on the web. Boy, are they ever so nasty and personal when discussing My Gal. Even Bernie has had them to cool their jets.
Look, PD, I have been there and done that. I learned that whatever point I was trying to make, it was lost when I got too vulgar and too personal. Good for a cheap shot and a cheap laugh, but that is how far it ever goes. It’s only politics and politics in a backwater county that most never will ever hear of their entire lives.
In a nutshell, present your agruments or just bitch about something, but there is a limit to getting down and dirty. It’s the sandbox, not female mud wrestling. Makes you look bad. Hey, you don’t want my reputation do you? Nah, you probably don’t.
Don’t know if you are white and male or even ready for the Marble Orchid. Never an issue here. But, you are starting to sound like an angry old whiteman. Now, I am sure that is not your desired goal.
Point one finger forward and you got three pointing back. Or, what you sow is what you reap. No getting around it. Not might, not maybe, not could or should, someday. What you sow is exactly what you reap. Strongest chain in the universe and more consistent than the law of gravity. I know. I done graduated from the School of Hard Knocks, in case you think I am being “too preachy.” Besides, you are messing up my perfectly good high. :).
We are ALL hypocrites, everyone of us, at times on certain issues. Believe it or don’t. And as far as I can tell, you don’t walk on water either. But, I could be wrong. If you are the poster boy of perfection, I will be content to not arrive on that shore while I am still sucking your air.

Oh Walt, Boardman makes good common sense and pokes Da Man (and us) in the eye now and then. I even agreed with his geese bomb article in today’s The Union. In fact, I was agreeing with Mr. Boardman until I got to the parts I disagreed with. Boardman ain’t the enemy…..but I must add we sometimes look like buffoons to outsiders. We gotta laugh at ourselves or else they will keep reminding us of that Senator from Idaho or someplace that got caught playing footsie in the airport men’s room. Thank goodness men only facilities will be a thing of the past! I’d rather play footsie with a drag queen anyway. They know how to keep a secret. Besides, it was Cal Trans that demanded the stoplight on S. Auburn St. Yep, when I appeared on the scene here in “God’s Country”, them old timers were still bitching about the stoplight. They preferred living in a town without stop lights. That’s how it’s always been. Years later I must say I agree with them old farts. 🙂
Fish, thanks for the diversion. That link was a spoof, right? Oh, please tell me it was not real. Hate crime? Hey, charging the doggie’s owner for a hate crime cannot ever happen here, right? Good Gawd, it’s real. I certainly lack the imiganation to ever dream up that one.

It is absolutely amazing, and quite disturbing, that instead of don bessee defending himself and refuting the facts that have been posted by myself and others, that Dr. Rebane instead chooses to remove said facts and obscure the publics right to know what sort of person bessee is.That such a person is held in such high regard on this sight, knowing what you people know about bessee, is despicable. I suppose that winning a cause allows all to use any such action that is deemed necessary... even the usage of unsavory characters. I , for one, would never allow bessee to be left alone with my children, nor my wife. And with excellent reason. But you folks are free to associate and stand beside whomever you choose, arent you?

More going green problems:
Shares of SolarCity nose-dived on Tuesday after disclosing earnings results that cast gloom over the provider of solar systems. So far in 2016, SolarCity shares have plummeted 65 percent.
San Mateo-based SolarCity shares lost about one-fifth of their value due to the grim report for its first quarter that ended in March. Tuesday marked the first full day of trading after the financial results were released.
The big problems for the solar company: The quarterly report disclosed a loss that was bigger than expected, and management followed that up with a dismal outlook for future results.
“Bookings came in a lot lower than expected,” Lyndon Rive, chief executive officer and co-founder of SolarCity, told analysts during a conference call to discuss the financial results. “We had a bunch of headwinds that hit us all at the same time.”
The obstacles included regulatory challenges that stymied bookings and increased prices that stifled sales.

Well, in 2008 Hillary got 63% of the WV vote, Obama 25%, and 2 Americas (public and private) Edwards got about 19%. Hillary got over a quarter million votes. Yesterday she got 85 thousand votes. Wrong way, Hillary, you are going the wrong way. After Indiana, Bernie is pulling off another mini-string of wins.
Boy, Trump got the biggest break of any politican’s life when the Dems made My Gal the Chosen One a couple of years ago. You could not even make up a weaker opponent.
Hillary just has to beat a 74 year old socialist that had been a registered Dem for a year, lol. Piece of cake. Cruz told everybody that he just needs to get one on one with Trump to win the nomination. Cruz basically got his chance after Ohio. A de facto two man race. Gov. Johnie K and Pretty boy Johnie Edwards were not real competition. Cruz got his chance and mysteriously dropped out muttering “coulda, woulda, shoulda” until he shoulda all over himself.

Shoot howdy, Paul, we all know that Walt’s real name is Dirtmover. That’s his full name. Not to mention The Michelin Tire Man has published Fish’s name and town every chance he gets. Even on one post he had Fish’s e-mail on a copy and paste. Fish is his real name. What, you got a problem with that?
Once has a temp job doing something nobody on the site knew anything about (nail pounding). There was a guy who once was in the group The Association, a guy who was in The Weaver’s (music types are the worse), a drunk Injun named Bill T, and this long haired freaky foreman whose name was Zorba.
Zorba had his legal name changed to Zorba. So, Zorba takes off and comes back with a speeding ticket. On the notes on the ticket, the officer wrote “His real full name is Zorba.” Lol. You can only image what the workmanship looked like, but that is another story.
Only the jerks get grief here for being anonymous. Besides, how do we really know your real name is Paul Emery? You might be Ben in disguise. At least you are a broken record instead of a total jerk so I won’t make a federal case out of it. You may continue yelling “hypocrite!” Can’t stop you anyway nor do I wish to. Us anti-control freaks stick together.

While we would rather you comment with your real name (see my ‘sackheads’ post), it all depends on your comment. If you are dealing with ideas, yours or others’, then I don’t care if you call yourself ‘Doorknob’ in any given comment thread. But if you go into character assassination, especially of the potentially libelous kind, then you should make your identity known and verifiable, and stand behind your words. In any event, stick to ideas, and if you must, mudballs of the more general kind. Most credit accrues to those able to recall the spirit of Sir Winston himself.

After watching the 60 Minutes segment on how a Congressman spends his or her day, makes this more believable:
• ‘Screw the next generation’: Anonymous congressman writes tell-all and slams ‘nation of naive, self-absorbed sheep’ as he admits he never reads bills he votes on
• ‘My main job is to keep my job, to get reelected. It takes precedence over everything,’ an anonymous member of Congress writes in a new book
• ‘Voters are incredibly ignorant and know little about our form of government and how it works,’ he writes
‘• It’s far easier than you think to manipulate a nation of naive, self-absorbed sheep who crave instant gratification’
• One liberal news blogger claims the author is a Democrat
• ‘The Confessions of Congressman X’ will be released May 24 by a small Minnesota-based ‘vanity press’ publisher
