I know that our gracious host prefers that we post links to preserve “real estate” but I’m going to demonstrate poor etiquette and post the text. This is from a guy I follow intermittently who summarizes nicely what I believe the Clinton administration will contend with during her term.

Now we’ll never get to know If he was too Canadian:
(CNN) – Ted Cruz bowed out of the Republican presidential race Tuesday following a crushing loss to Donald Trump in Indiana, clearing the path for the real estate mogul to clinch the GOP nomination.
Which means that we are down to three*, Bernie still being a pain in the side of Queen Hillary. I’m not sure he’s a threat so much as evidence that she is not nearly as formidable a candidate as everyone pretends she is. I’m still not convinced she’ll be the Dem candidate, but if she is, I suspect that she will be dispatched with some ease by Trump.
Not because he’s popular, but because he’s a master of memes, of mental association. We saw it with the presumptive nominee “Low Energy” Jeb, you saw it with once-at-35% Ben Carson. We saw it with Lyin’ Ted Cruz. And now we see the catchphrase Crooked Hillary Clinton popping up. If that remains, we’re going to spend the entire campaign talking about how crooked she is. It won’t be about policies, though for the first time in a long time, we will be able to choose from competing foreign policy visions**. Which will be a nice change.
Will it make a difference? Maybe we get a wall. Maybe Mexico pays for it. We’re surely not going to pay off the national debt in 8 years. In fact, I’m not sure we even see a balanced budget.
Trump may very well win, but neither he nor Hillary nor a GOP congress nor a Dem one, nor nationalists nor globalists nor anyone in Washington is going to seriously address our national (and global) fiscal situation until the point where it renders political choice impossible. We are going to keep spending and promising and easing and printing and borrowing and grifting until the system itself breaks, and then things are going to quickly spin beyond memes and even elections.
Whoever gets this job is going to be in for a terrible time, with troubles imposed that we have not seen in a century. Is anyone running, anyone, who has the ability, foresight, power, to push a century’s worth of toothpaste back into the tube?
That’s what we’re going to find out.
* John Kasich is dropping out today, it’s rumored. But he was never enough of a threat to even get a TrumpName™
** Domestic, I’m not so sure about. But I am certain that Trump will not fight the oppression of single-sex bathrooms with the same vigor as will Hillary.

I’m glad you brought up shitters. Back in the day the signs didn’t say men’s bathroom or women’s bathroom. The sign simply said restroom. You went in, locked the door and went about your business. I travel quite a bit and most countries don’t have gender specific bathrooms. It seems we have enough real issues that this uproar is a diversion. Or am I just missing the boat?

Very humorous hearing this AM that Trump is now open to raising taxes on the wealthy, and now hedging on a whole bunch of his insane ideas previously lapped up by his racist/xenophobic/misogynist followers. He already favors opening up bathrooms to anyone and everyone, so not sure what’s going to be left of the hard right/fiscal/social conservative base…:)

Good to know Todd, and I assume Walt, supports Drumpf’s new tax-the-rich proposal, which he correctly identifies as a positive electoral issue this year. With all the proposed Drumpf spending on the military and domestic programs- infrastructure, etc. he will need the rich to pay their fair share.

Jon Dover. I have a sincere question for you. How come you never mention anything about candidates that are from your side of the aisle?? Rarely if ever. You have a blackout going about mentioning anything besides your redundant target of hate? Do you like anything besides fine local wine and Eco films? Seriously, Mr. Dozer, I have tried a few times for you to open up abit about any Democrat candidate, any. But you neatly avoid broaching that topic.
Just saying. Eerily like the hatred some have for George W Bush years after he left office and still irrationally blaming him for our current weak economy even after the Stimulus and everything the Obama administration tried to do. Come on, Mr. Dozer, expand your horizons. Crack open the door to your vault just a wee bit more.
If you are taking about Trump saying that income derived from certain activities by Wall Street traders should be taxed as ordinary income not the lower cap gains rate, yep, Trump said months ago that seems only fair. But, it just does not bother me right now. I hope that any candidate is open to various ideas and proposals at first glance. Hope he looks at everything. After all, he ain’t in office and it shows how unique he is. Put it out there and he will look at it. That is his style. But, hate away. Your side is the object of ridicule, day in and day out.
I really really really hoped your guys would have torn down “Hetch Hetchy-Time to Redeem a Historic Mistake”. That would have put the icing on the liberal..er..progressive extremist world view and reaped exactly what you have sown.

Now gentlemen, I am going to float a concept by you. Hard as it is to conceive in our post-modern time and whether you believe it or not, there are millions of womenfolk out there that have only undressed before one or two men their entire lives. And maybe partially undressed before the doctor. There is not modesty in giving birth, so that does not count. Ok, maybe 3 men their entire lives.
Many young women (excluding liberal women) are shy and modest when it comes to exposing too much flesh in front of total strangers. Yes, it seems quaint and rather Victorian Era, but millions of ladies feel this way. They feel it’s their body and not something for males to gawk at without their prior approval. They believe in showing only a little and strongly believe in not throwing “pearls before swine.” A woman taking a big healthy stinky movement sometimes prefers not to have any hairy sweaty brut males in the room. It’s probably mutual. Nothing disturbs the immense pleasure of grunting and groaning and loudly talking that baby into taking the plunge as a fine lady in the next stall. Just puts a damper on blissful vocal experience. Plus, no delight and boasting in the glorious sound of The Splash with a fine proper lady in the adjoining stall. Guess I am old fashioned, or think “why mess up the unfettered delight of dropping the kids off at the pool?”
Another thing to consider. That means putting urinals in every bathroom across the USA. Sure, sports arenas’ urinals are as big as feed troughs and more than one sports fan has used them to crap in in emergencies when the stalls had waiting lines, but having huge urinals in every business and public lavatories is just too darn expensive.
I think we can resolve this non-issue (and needless waiting for womenfolk to vacate the restroom—seems forever at times) by simply having a urinal only restroom for those in a hurry and have perfected standing to pee as well as having a toilet only room so guys and dolls can shit on the same thrones. Sometimes time is of the essence.

Since you don’t seem to understand-here’s the lowdown.
I’m ok with transgender females such as Caitlyn Jenner in women’s bathroom. So is Donald Drumpf. Since Jenner is not a perv, we have no idea WTF you’re talking about. In reality most of the PERVS I’ve heard about doing bad things in bathrooms have been conservative, ostensibly-straight men such as former GOP Senator Larry Craig and Midwesterm and Southern evangelical preachers. Something about aging, conservative, evangelical Christian white men…especially men of power…they seem to contain a high percentage of creepers in their ranks. Suppression of desires and such. Mostly conservative.

Well, going from drag queens in Target’s formerly called Men’s Room to burning in Hell Fire is kinda a big leap. Oh yeah, The Slippery Slope cuts both ways.
Now, I see both sides. Dozer is right about Holly Roller preachers and Senators and all sorts of White Devils having a perv history in public and private bathrooms. That is why I never do selfies while on the pot, but that is just me. And playing footsie will get your run out of office….if, and only if you are a White Devil Republican Moral Tumping Republican. The rest we just have to wait and see what the male pool boys tell what happened at under Barney Fank’s roof……then it gets dragged out in the Ethics Committee for a year or so if there is an election coming up on the horizon.
Todd’s point is also valid. Besides being a Daddy Thing and expect to see a lot more mothers escorting their daughters to the public facilities, human nature being what it is opens the Slippery Slope to actual pervs and predators to do their dastardly deeds under the guise of individual rights. Kinda like being at a Green Peace rally. Humans do very bad things. Humans have always done very naughty things they want nobody to ever know about. Look, point five percent of the population are queers or whatever the proper sexual identity with the opposite sex is called. Like, not all queens are gay or pervs. My boa collection can attest to that, but I digress.
Bottom line: If a chick wants to go in the Guy’s room, come on in. No biggie to us naughty boys. Happens every weekend in some honky tonk somewhere across the fruited plain anywho. We usually have an open stall ready to use, drunk or sober. No problem, whether there is a stem on the apple or not.
But, but, but, it’s different for the females. They don’t see it the same way. Men are from Mars, Women are from some other galaxy. But, if a cross dresser or Queer or dude really thinks he is a chick and the steroids are making his man boobs grow, then that person would be safer in the ladies quarters. Besides, the ladies have nicer mirrors in there to touch up the makeup with.
The chicks aren’t known for raping and getting their jollies off looking at fellow babes taking a dump. That’s a perv thing. So, the social outcasts of society (0.5%) should be able to use the My Gal room, especially in places where some REAL knuckerdraggers out in the boondocks would not take kindly to that. It’s for their own potential safety to use the MyGal room. At the least it would spare them from hurtful words,
Don’t see it as a problem in urban jungles, suburbia, the foothills. Might be a problem on the other side of the summit. They treat Native Ametican shamefully over there as well as anyone who does not kiss their Lilly white behind.
Let the chicks in the Apple Stem room and let the .5% into My Gal’s freshen up room (for safety and hurtful words issues)

Listening to Dr. R on KVMR discuss Measure W with Sheriff Royal and Paul Emery. George proved he is a fair and reasonable man who finds the process to putting W on the ballot unnecessary. (They didn’t even mention the cost of changing W in the future, just the difficulty.)
Sheriff Royal on the other hand, made many statements that were just plain wrong. I wonder why he won’t discuss these issues with anyone who has the knowledge to contradict his misstatemens? Not that Paul Emery did a bad job – quite the contrary – he just didn’t have some facts to dispute some of Keith’s claims:
Like saying it is more cost effective to grow indoors (wrong) because you don’t need pesticides (really wrong) and the new grow lights are energy efficient so it won’t overburden our power grid (partially wrong). The energy efficient LED lights don’t produce the full grow/flowering light spectrums like HPS lights, but it is going to be a better alterative someday.

I can agree that Ordinance 2405 is, at least in part, about property rights but not Measure W. Measure W is about the BOS deliberately misusing the ballot initiative to ensure that their agenda is maintained beyond their incumbency.

PaulE – Thanks for the link to the Measure W KVMR podcast. The Sheriff was speaking out of both sides of his mouth when he said, “Vote “no” on Measure S because it will be cast in stone”, yet he now says, “vote “yes” on Measure W because (wait for it) it will be cast in stone”. What a hoot!
It helps to remember that the Sheriff is a politician.

I created CABPRO in 1993. Turned it over to others many years ago. It is mainly a property rights defender. I announced years ago I am no longer affiliated. Regarding my being a ex-supervisor. How intelligent of you to figure that out. Every time I am introduced my secret of being one is revealed. LOL!
Having fought the forces of darkness in Nevada County regarding the taking of private property via the General Plan and Zoning pushed by the eco’s and RQC types, I find it highly interesting they are now fighting the initiative.
