   I like the post, it’s a kind of fire for effect into a forum.
   I’d say that a teeny bit of shoving and the odd punch at a Trump get together feels a bit like a denouement. They (BLM) are the kind of protesters who are actually looking for a camera ready moment and for once got their wish. You can argue that as the population forms up sides, they’ll both accrete a bit more ‘muscle’ (hat tip to Melissa Click) as it all gets more serious.
   It should be an amazing election season. For the first time in decades, the political ‘right’ (which is being redefined as we speak) seems to have a more visceral stake in the matter. Imperiopathosis can be a tricky situation to make your own way through.

   Scoreboard remains: as of now, Hillary up between 5-13% vs. Trump, depending on the poll. Bernie up double digits vs. Blowhard, consistently. Are the Trumpsters just not responding to the pollsters yet? 🙂 The silent Trump majority just holding back I presume.. If you boys want to feel good about November, you’d get behind John Kasich. He would beat Hillary easily. But he’s the only one. Oh well..

   Back to John Kasich- for a guy who would most likely bring the GOP a resounding victory in November, I’d think he would get more of a look from you guys. Can someone elaborate please as to why he is in the RHINO category apparently- not to be trusted? You nominate Kasich, your problems are basically solved- Supreme Court and maybe both houses of Congress. What’s the downside to Kasich for you Tea Brigaders? Looks to me to be an experienced, down to earth, honest, optimistic conservative with tangible balanced budget plans, and adult-like qualities becoming the US President? Beats Hillary easily. Problem please…thanks.

    Oh Jon, Gov. K is one heck of a good experienced man. The problem with John K is a idiot like you likes him. Scratch him off the list. It’s way too early to talk 2nd or 9th best. We are shaking the tree. He should win Ohio where he is 63% favorable among all Buckeye voters. A fine choice, but a counterfeit nonetheless. Once you get a taste of Trump, it’s very difficult to go back to the back of the pack. Wrong man caught in the wrong time.
    Best John can do is win Ohio and change his clothes quickly in a phone booth and emerge as Brokered Convention Man. No thanks. We dirty fingernail meat eaters will just take our chances with The Donald. Nice try though. A for effort, but another swing and a miss. Besides, you don’t have a say in the matter.
    Let me know when you are ready to come out for Hillary (not likely) or Bernie (again, not likely). I won’t hold my breath. And I will not give your side personal tainted free advice. We just do things differently I suppose. You are fired.

    Wasn’t there Don. I got too stoned and forgot where I was going when I was heading up there. Did find a nice bag of chips on sale, so it wasn’t a total waste. Darn, I forgot to get cigs and petro. :).
    Wow. Double WOW! I knew this would happen sooner or later, but I did not expect to see this in my lifetime. Akin to the Betlin Wall coming down. You spend your entire life expecting the wall to come down, then when it happens, I still got caught me by surprise and left stunned and wordless. Shock and Awe.
    Now this. Unbelievable. It’s a ever changing world I tell ya. No more arresting people for putting sheets on his statue’s head. Guess those mischievous ones will have to find another form of entertainment.

    What makes that interesting isn’t so much the facts of the matter, but that as of (probably) a year ago or so, people quite caring. There’s been a state change in US politics. The guy throwing the punch is more likely to get a free drink than have his house firebombed.
    I do have to love the tagline on the story with all of the anti-Trump stuff. Whatever happened to news magazines from a few decades ago like Time? News sites like that read a bit like Der Stürmer (h/t to Godwin) in terms of favoring one group of elites or another.

    Don, I know. Just saying that my crazy little friend could have been there, but I wasn’t. :). I am hard to follow most of the time so no worries. And I don’t get stoned and drive. Takes forever to get somewhere when I do. :). Still am in the “lets see how Measure W unfolds” camp. Time will tell and more will be revealed.
    Holy Smokes. That punch the long haired country boy threw in North Carolina is the top ABC news on the hour story on the Ray-Dee-O. What a non story. Hey, if some 78 year old man knocked me on my keister, I would be too embarrassed to tell anyone. Now the young virile strong man is crying that his eye still hurts. ROTFLMFUEO. Are you kidding me?? What a coddled putz. A mean ole 78 year old cracker laid me out, boo-hoo.
    I suppose the young enthusiastic demonstrator got an instant taste of feeling invalidated. Oh, he probably went home and is basking in his new found street cred and martyrdom. Always a silver lining.
    Another reason for Boardman to dislike crackers from the Carolinas. That old man and that middle finger waving used car dealer are so typical of crackers. They seem rather pleased with themselves. Go figure. Must be something in the air.

    What one is charged with and what a judge and jury find are two different things.
    “There are certain well-defined and narrowly limited classes of speech, the prevention and punishment of which have never been thought to raise any constitutional problem. These include the lewd and obscene, the profane, the libelous, and the insulting or “fighting” words those which by their very utterance inflict injury or tend to incite an immediate breach of the peace.” -Chaplinsky v. New Hampshire, the fighting words doctrine.
    In short, if someone is asking to be hit, they aren’t exactly blameless if they get hit.
    A court will sort it out, not “Jon”, the anonymous sock puppet.

    I cannot believe Jon attacking the poor vet suffering from PTSD. What we witnessed was a poor lost soul having a flashback due to being overwhelmed by the Yellow Peril in the frozen rice paddies of Korea. The old man is the victim here. This speaks to our national scandal of how we treat our forgotten vets. The VA is nothing but a piggy bank to the corrupt administrators who never saw a day of combat. That is why the suffering man was at the rally in the first place. He was hoping that someone like Trump would speak to the abortion we call the Veterans Administration. More evil that those guys who got fired today for misusing Wounded Warrior funds to a live lavish lifestyle. Bet they never saw a day of combat either, or else they would have never done such an evil deed. Makes me ill. The VA is the bigger evil here.
    Nay, our little old very senior citizen’s cries for help have fallen on deaf ears. The government institution which was there for help turned into the old gentle sweet man’s oppressor and Grim Reaper.
    He should not stand trial! It is the scandalous VA that needs to be put under oath. This issue is so much bigger than meets the undiscriminating eye.
    I can’t believe Jon is so harsh and callous to the nice family man’s heavy burden as society has failed him. We are all to blame. (lib logic 101)
    The record will show that our true elderly victim never even put a hand on the potential terrorist. The young anarchist was committing an unlawful act (disputing a rally or movie or a play is a violation of the law) as was being hurriedly ushered out when the lawbreaker tripped on a stair and fell into our victim’s elbow. Without the quick action of our vet, the young radical extremist would have hit his head on the concrete. He is a hero. The defense rests its case, Your Honor.
    Probably was smoking MMJ to alive his suffering before his heroic actions. Jon, don’t be a jerk. Shame on your hard heart.
