[Here is what Joe Biden had to say about filling SCOTUS vacancies. And the record here shows that no liberal has explained why this time is so different that the Senate should not continue to follow the advice of our VP and several of his prominent Democrat colleagues. We expected crickets, and they have spoken. gjr]

Last thing the FBI usually does when concluding its investigations is to interview the targets of its investigations. Huma, Mills, and Jake next. Then My Gal. They will ask questions such as “Why did you set up a private server in the bathroom of a house? Why did you refuse a State Department blackberry and have your aides buy (4 actually) a blackberry off the shelf at Staples.” “Why did you order the State Department to break protocol and refuse to have a State Department Inspector General during your entire stint as head of the State Department?” Why…why….why….
Gotta love Hillary’s responses so far. Oh, it’s just a standard security review of the past 4 Secretary of States. Haha. The FBI does not do security reviews. They do investigations into violations of the law, thus the name Federal Bureau of Investigation. There are enough agencies and IGs that do security reviews.
Love her talking points about this is just the Vast Right Wing Conspiracy doing its thing against me and Bill since day one. And this is just an interagency bickering and over classifying of “after the fact” benign documents. Yes, there is a bunch of truth to that.
Get beyond the talking points and let’s look under the hood. The Republicans are making hay with this (as any opposing political party would do) and there is a lot of over classifying of docs. But….here comes the but….but the State Department IG has been appointed by Obama twice (!), John Kerry has ordered the full release of docs and doing its own investigation into Top Secret Intel sent to a non secure server, and there are 3 agencies doing investigations into Hillary besides the FBI and House Committees. 150 FBI agents on the case. When this first broke and I heard the FBI went in and seized 3-4 State Department computers on site, I knew they were in a hurry to secure evidence and there was a lot more “there” there than we knew. And Cheryl Mills still has top security clearance to this day, lol.
Now it’s time to “negotiate” the time and place of the interviews. 2 months max. The State Department quip pro quo to foreign donors of millions of clams to the Clinton Foundation has Chelsea on the list to be “interviewed”. Hmmm.
Sure Hillary, there is no there there.LikeLike

Jon, Hillary needs Obama’s positive numbers to hit 55% before November. That is what the conventional wisdom talking heads are saying.
Love what Mitt has said. Did you read that 58 conservative gurus and party lubbing big wigs have signed a long statement that Trump would be doom, doom, doom for both the Republican Party and the Ole Red, White, and Blue? Well, bring it on!!! If the true conservatives like The Weekly Standard are preaching the end of the world concerning Trump along with The Pope, The President, and everybody under the sun is now joining the bugle boy in the playing of Taps, then all is well in my world.
This sure is fun watching the fireworks. That, Jon, is something we completely agree on. We love it! Heck, I am beginning to like you. Keep me informed.
Now with all the PACs, media, movers and shakers, conservatives and Party Faithful huddling together to stop Trump, surely they have come up with a workable plan that will Dump Trump by now you would think. Let me know how their little plans of Mice and Men works out. Thanks.
It’s too funny. The media suddenly thinks what Sen. Lynsey Grahm (1% of the vote) is a spokesperson than now should be taken seriously, lol. Bring back Jeb! Too late, The Donald destroyed him. Rubio? His campaign ends the day he loses his home state. He is so far behind in Florida to The Terminator as of today that he will be gone in a couple of weeks. Cruz won Texas so he is still standing….for awhile.
Side note: if Al Gore could have carried his home state of TN, the whole hanging chad thang would have been a moot point, President Gore. Which brings me to the quote of the day:
“Ludicrous”. That is what Rick Perry of Texas thought of the idea when approached by PACs and donors to make another attempt to be the savior of the Republican Party as we know it. He, too, signed The Pledge. ๐LikeLike

Jon, I indeed voted for Mitt. A man of good character in my opinion. Yep, Mitt was the #1 reason that hordes of Republicans stayed home in 2012. Wonder what got me to even vote now that I think of it. Oh yeah, permanent absentee status. They just keep mailing me ballots. No need to go out and vote.
Mitt was right in the debates about Russia. Ole Obama rolled his eyes in disbelieve and ridiculed Gov. Romney for going back to the Cold War Days of all things! Geez, that is ancient history. Russia? Not even on O’s radar. Then Hillary as Sec of State gave the Rooskies a nice reset button of all things, lol. Mitt was right, O and My Gal were wrong, nรฉe-na-nooner.
Mitt can babble all day long. No one voted for him anyway. Another loser. Keep me informed Jon. You are my new litmus test to see how The Terminator is doing. Never thought Trump would carry both Catholics and Evangelicals as well as the youth in so many states, but I digress.
Trump is right. Mitt does walk like a penguin.

OK, so you can rip into Ted Cruz too, since he and Handsome Young Marco will be saying the same things as Romney tonight.
Interesting that no one actually knows any Repub who stayed home in 2012, allowing the despised black man in the WH to win.
Also interesting that Trump continues to fare the worst against Clinton versus his rivals, in every recent poll. John Kasich has consistently been the best, so I presume the Repubs aren’t interested in winning the General election.LikeLike

“Jon” seems especially active here when the FUE is talking to himself in his own sandbox. He presumes much and knows little.
Regarding George Boardman’s 02 March 2016 at 10:48 AM, the Chronicle ran a great op-ed from a history professor that did a better job than I of putting the KKK issue in context and Boardman in his place:“The new red-baiting: Liberals use KKK to smear Trump”
[Why] do we care so much about who supports Trump? Back in the Cold War, right-wingers used this kind of guilt-by-association to smear liberals. Now liberals are using the same tactic to smear Trump… That puts us in league with red-baiters in earlier eras, who reviled liberals on the equally specious grounds that some of their supporters were Communists…
At the end of the day, though, this isnโt really about what your supporters think. The question is whether we should judge you on the basis of their support. And the answer is no. The measure of King lay in the power of his ideas, not in the people who were drawn to him. Ditto for Trump.
In my heart, I believe that we are better than the bigotry of Trump. But weโre also better than guilt by association, which is equally inimical to our democracy. I couldnโt care less which racist group supports Trump. Neither should you.
<a href="http://www.sfchronicle.com/opinion/openforum/article/The-new-red-baiting-liberals-use-KKK-to-smear-6863617.phpWhere I disagree with Zimmerman is that no, the current crop of left-liberals aren’t “better than quilt by association”, as a group, it’s a tactic used by them over and over.

Scott march 2, 11:10
This child died because her parents were worried their supply of MMJ would be cut off mid-treatment so they were waiting for a clinical trial to start. The point is Scott, children that are already using MMJ will have their supply cut off and yes, they are in danger of dying according to their doctors (But I suppose you know more than they do???). Why is that so hard for you to understand?
Can you imagine the outrage if ONE child got into their parents stash and died (not that that is possible)? Why don’t you have the same outrage over allowing one child to die from LACK of medicine?? Seems kinda hypocritical to me. And don’t get me started on the despicable email sent out by the Republican Women’s Federated. Unbelievable those women are mothers. Shameful.LikeLike

I’m not angry, “Jon”, just getting even, and your “question” about getting to a plurality in a general election is answered perfectly by the Democratic Primary votes in 2008.
Obama lost to Hillary. Imagine that. He only got 47%.
“Jon” you are the only one posting here who remains completely anonymous to all but a small circle of fiends.LikeLike

Math “jon”?? LOL!!! More than 25% of DEMS have already said they are in Trump’s camp.
Many of MEX decent are there too. Blacks who don’t like gov. handouts? yup,, them too.
Then there are the untold scores of Independent voters (who don’t really get counted anywhere) Now take off your shoes to help you with that math.
I take into account just “who” is doing the counting.
Funny thing. The GOP is now using the Progressive playbook to try and derail Trump. And the people on the Right see it. Unlike LIBS (lemming party) who,, like good minions do as they are told. The young LIB voters (commies in training) are not going to be happy that Taxtheshitoutya Sanders isn’t going to make it. They will stay home.LikeLike

“This child died because her parents were worried their supply of MMJ would be cut off mid-treatment so they were waiting for a clinical trial to start.”- Patricia Smith
It seems the child died of a horrible disease while waiting for an experimental treatment that might well have not been beneficial.
I remember sitting with my wife Teri, in an oncology practice waiting room, when her oncologist called for the next patient who turned out to be a handsome young man whose brothers and parents had been sitting with him. We’d pegged them, playing the odds, as everyone coming to support Mom for her first appointment. It floored the both of us and we both agreed that agony would be infinitely worse were it our son, and not her.
Patty, your claim the death of that child is by the hand of the BoS is self serving and despicable.LikeLike

Is Ted Cruz and prominent NorCal Tea Party officials not conservative enough for you? Hell, I love the circus and the Civil War going on now, its only going to split you guys up in November!
Greg, kudos for a response to my question on the Trump math. Huge differences the way many see it- Trump on average isn’t even hitting 47% yet. Obama was also still a relative unknown to most American voters still after the primary, and had extremely low unfavorables. He ran a positive campaign about hope, change, humility and became a beloved figure to many. Trump’s negatives are through the roof and he will never turn into a positive face of anything except hate and anger. Not a winner.LikeLike

Your “analysis” ignores the fact that Sec’y Clinton’s negatives are also through the roof, and will probably get even worse as the tech for her private email server has just been given immunity which must mean someone is getting close to being indicted. Hard left analyses of who the right should nominate to best defeat the left candidate are never very prescient, and vice versa. The GOP will nominate who the GOP wants, not the one you do.LikeLike

Hey, jon smith, you might want to turn some of those bitcoins in to gold and silver before there is a total systems failure.
Bitcoin’s nightmare scenario has come to pass
The network’s capacity to process transactions has maxed out
Over the last year and a half a number of prominent voices in the Bitcoin community have been warning that the system needed to make fundamental changes to its core software code to avoid being overwhelmed by the continued growth of Bitcoin transactions. There was strong disagreement within the community, however, about how to solve this problem, or if the problem would ever materialize.
This week the dire predictions came to pass, as the network reached its capacity, causing transactions around the world to be massively delayed, and in some cases to fail completely. The average time to confirm a transaction has ballooned from 10 minutes to 43 minutes. Users are left confused and shops that once accepted Bitcoin are dropping out.

Thoughts of current Presidential Race (The Dark Side)
The flood of wailing and gnashing of teeth emitting from The Establishment Alamo is to be expected. Nobody has come out said it yet, but conservatives and card carrying Republicans consider Donald J. Trump a third party candidate. Not a Republician, that Trump guy is using our name. Party member in name only.
With this theory in mind, the first and foremost thing the R Party must do is stop any and all defections, aka, endorsements of the 3rd Party “monster.” Once a few Injuns leave the Rez, it will be like open borders and the end of…heck, earlier today they (Mitt and POW McCain) said that a Trump win would not be the end of The Party, not the end of America, but the end of……drumroll please…..THE END of DEMOCRACY. Gosh, I hope not. Even that one man Adolph Hilter could not end Western Civilication as we know it. Maybe Trump is a con man, maybe worse than standing in line at the DMV, but I see this is exactly democracy at work. But, if I am wrong, I will be back in The Alamo eating crow sandwiches for a very long time.
Now, back to RHINO bashing, which has almost run its course. Nobody but Jonjon is listening to them anyway. My current task at hand is almost done…unless there is a brokered convention.

It’s people like Pelline who bring down Cal’s reputation. Rhetoric is a real major and useful, but not in journalism, where the ethical responsibility is to honestly report what is happening in one’s world, not to craft a false argument to push a false narrative. Journalism and activism is as out of place as science and activism. Choose one or the other, you can’t honestly choose both.
