RouhaniFrancis2016

A few years back when first I had a chance to see the bragsheet on Pope Francis, I voiced some concerns about his political naiveté. The man seemed to have avoided any education in economics, finance, governance, and what social mechanisms actually generate the wealth that he’s so keen on redistributing.  His speeches and writings give ample evidence of that.  Today he is giggling it up with one of the world’s big killers and leading promoters/sponsors of theocratic Islamism through global terror.

Someone should tell the guy with the white beany what President Rouhani of the Islamic Republic of Iran has done, is doing today, and planning for us tomorrow now that we’ve shoved tens of billions of dollars in his shorts and removed economic sanctions to pump up Iran’s anti-western economy. They should slip in a news article or two about Islam’s killing of Christians in their lands, and maybe even inform His Holiness about Islam’s well publicized plans for the infidels of Christendom.

I was hoping that the meeting may have generated some more serious photo-ops to reflect equivalent discussions with the reprobate raghead.

[28jan16 update] I call your attention to this morning’s (28jan16) WSJ column ‘The Humbling of the West’ by deputy editorial editor and national columnist Daniel Henninger.  He echoes not only my above sentiments but also the years’ long interpretation in these pages of the growing war between civilizations.  What the informed reader should continue to find remarkable is the narrow field of focus that the Left brings to bear on Islam’s and particularly the Islamists’ advance in the world.

WestsShame

These benighted people, welcomed and well-represented in RR comment streams, continue to show their breathless ignorance of geo-strategic events. They draw great comfort from repeating their well-learned and baseless mantras about the equivalence of Christianity and Islam in their world views, scriptural dictates, existential practices, and the minds of their respective ‘moderates’.  In the latter one needs only observe the silence of Islam’s sheeple in response to the daily (hourly?) atrocities their brethren carry out.  The west is betting the ranch that these Muslims will quietly follow whichever ayatollah can muster enough fanatical guns and knives to enforce their compliance.  The Mideast overflows with examples of such transforming governance that Obama has unleashed on an already cowering Europe.

Rouhani has every reason to smile as he accepts the obeisances of Europe.  Through his mind echoes Lenin’s famous ‘these capitalists will gladly sell us the very rope with which we will hang them.’

Henninger points out the lengths to which European civic, religious, and business leaders are going to kowtow during the Iranian president’s triumphal progress through lands which have for a millennium been Islam’s prime target for conquest (actually two millennia if you consider what the Persians have had in their sights). The above photo from Henninger’s piece gives stark evidence of the west’s self-depredation, showing classic western art in the form of nude statuary in the Vatican that has been covered so as not to offend the raghead of ragheads during his tour of the museum.  Misplaced humility apparently knows no depth in the progressive western mind as it welcomes its self-declared colonists cum conquerors.

George, can you enumerate in detail- “Islam’s well publicized plan for infidels of Christendom?” That would be quite a feat, for a diverse group of billions of people, and thousands of Islamic sects, to come up with a master PLAN, much less well publicized ones? Do you have a link to this big set of well publicized plans? Thanks.

Par for the course response. Not a bit interested in honest dialogue on this topic..
I think its fantastic that the Pope is opening things up with Iran. Just as we’re doing with Cuba. Our isolation of these places has just been oh so successful for half a century!

Are you really serious there “jon”? I would suggest you read the Koran where all the details are laid out by the warrior prophet. You must be a product of a liberal education. Jeeze!

Since you know nothing about Iran, Islam or the Koran, I will accept your comments in ignorance. As with many things on here, par for the course!

Todd, was the isolation and destruction of the Iranian economy over the last 35 years a successful venture?

Ah, the Pope is a Jesuit just like Gov. Brown was. Delicate their lives to helping the poor. I say let the two leaders gab all they want. News said the Pope was asked by the Persian dude to pray for him. Ah, all is well. I wonder if the guy with the maxi-pad on his head kissed the Pope’s ring as well. They laughed and became good friends, without the drinks which are forbidden by the Persians I hear. Yeah, right.
Well, if memory serves me well, the Good Book does say in the end times the Persian Empire will rise again. And boy is the temperature a’rising already.

    Todd:
You write ” I would suggest you read the Koran where all the details are laid out by the warrior prophet.”
Have you actually read the Koran? How would you know all the “details” if you haven’t? I haven’t myself but I don’t claim I have like you do.
If you would like to read it here’s a free online translation for your reading pleasure.

Seems to me the more someone spends time immersed in the Q-Koran, the more they become radicalized. I won’t take the chance. I will just read printed quotes from those who donned a string of garlic and brought along a wooden stake and big mallet before opening the book cover. It’s influence is one of murder, conquest, slaves, sex slaves, pedophilia, lying, infidelity, and not being neighborly.
Word of caution: Stay away from Ouija Boards and the Q-Koran. Allows evil spirits to influence one’s formerly sane mind. Voodoo dolls are much safer.

Tozer, the Muslims I know shake their heads and laugh your ignorance about the entirety of the Koran. If you prefer, we can always explore the many dark, violent passages of the old testament and use that as evidence of Christian evil. No difference except the Muslim extremists take their interpretations of their bible to a new terrorist level. Plenty of homegrown US terrorists basing their actions on interpretations of their bible as well. One Christian moron got himself killed up there in Oregon. Extremists are extremists- the Muslims have perfected the tactic of instilling fear into ignorant westerners- primarily undereducated and uneducated American Christian fundamentalists.

Tozer, if the Persian Empire is to rise again in the “good book”, what is to become of ISIS and other Sunni terrorist groups? Seems they would want to have a say against their blood enemy, the Persian Empire? If your apocolypic version of events ever happens, who are you with- Iran or ISIS?
    gotta choose one.

Jon. Good morning. Just woke up, but I call this BC…before coffee.
I totally disagree with your premise of having to choose one of the two, man. Silly man, those are not the only choices.
Now, before I proceed, keep in mind that 2/3 to 3/4 of my life has passed since I read about the end times. So, when I say going by memory, I really mean it. And, as a disclaimer, I think most scholars and religious experts are in a big massive dispute. Also, I ain’t taking about stuff in the sky, like the Horsemen. Or the Great Tribulaion, or the Rapture, or the 1,000 years of Peace. Nor the Anti-Christ. (Side note: anti-Christ is properly translated as pseudo-christ, meaning Christ like, but not the real McCoy. A Fake Christ if you will). Done with all the disclaimers.
Ok, back to choices. The Persian Empire is just a player among players. The target is always Israel and the threat to Israel. Now, there is the thing called the 10 Kings. If some countries drop out of the EU, that could be the 10 Kings as a player. Or, maybe it’s 10 Kings as a coalition from the Middle East area. I don’t know, but that is another player. Then there in the north is The Bear. Russia? They are to gather in Israel and duke it out. My choice??? The Eagle. You figure it out.
Whatever happens, ISIS is just a current catalyst, but may not even be a choice that you listed. In the here and now, I choose to the Eagle. You can have Iran. Nobody wants ISIS, at least no current soverign state. No soverign state wants to become a former soverign state recently….er…except the EU is doing its best to make themselves a former union as the soverign states that make up the EU are growing more nationalistic by the day, but I digress. A good trading block is what it may end up as, but who really knows or cares about Europe? Let them have Greece and all that 19th Century Marxist failed policies they keep trying to repackage over and over again, hoping they will get it right next time in old civilized Western Europe.
Back to your limited choices: I choose none of them. I choose the Eagle again.

Correction. I said gather in Israel to duke it out. Upon going back into the recess of my 2 brain cells left, I should have said “gather to attack Israel”, not necessarily to gather in Israel. And your Islamic friends will quickly point out that if their questions on particular matters are not found in the Q-Koran and the two supplemental guides, then they are to do what Mohammed did. If The Prophet is your idea of spirituality, then give it a whirl.
Small point. Quit saying there are billions of Islamics in the world. About 1.3 billion. Ok, I will give you 1.6 billion to cover any discrepancies.. No “s” on the end of the noun “billion”, FYI.

…and of course those undereducated and uneducated European women too. Rape is how your friends do it there these days……eggs and omelettes eh jon?
I am glad that you are now on record as being in favor of rape as a teaching tool.

Did you read the Koran or not? Pretty simple. You parade yourself as some kind of expert on Islam so I’m wondering if you’ve actually read it. Yes or no-simple.

To All: I’ve suggested here several times that everyone should read the Koran, at least twice as I have. That will enable everyone to at least be discussing the same document. It is a hard, ugly slog, but well worth the time for the understanding it will impart. L

As a follow up to George’s Update from the WSJ, I recommend reading Reflections on the Revolution In Europe: Immigration, Islam, and the West by Christopher Caldwell
    From Amazon description:
“This provocative and unflinching analysis of Europe’s unexpected influx of immigrants investigates the increasingly prominent Muslim populations actively shaping the future of the continent. Muslims dominate or nearly dominate many important European cities, including Amsterdam and Rotterdam, Strasbourg and Marseille, the Paris suburbs and East London, and in those cities Islam has challenged the European way of life at every turn, becoming, in effect, an ‘adversary culture.’”
We had better understand what is happening in Europe, and work to insure it does not happen here, or we will lose control of our cities and then our country.
