[Gun control. Correspondents keep sending me data on gun homicides compiled by the WHO.  For those who truly know something about ‘gun violence’ in America, these data are not new (which says a lot about our progressive counterparts).  It turns out that the US doesn’t even make the top 100 countries in the per capita murders with firearms in the world.  But the more remarkable stats reveal that if the murder rates in our top for-decades-Democrat-controlled cities were averaged to, say, Plano, TX, the ‘gun nut capital of the world’, then our gun homicides rate would become lower than Switzerland’s, where everyone is armed.  The point I want to make here is that it is the liberal and Democrat constituents in the deepest and most gun-controlled enclaves in the country where wanton killing goes on day-in and day-out, all to the silence of the country’s leftwing leadership and their lamestream media.  If ever there was an example of evil hypocrisy, a gift of silence that keeps on killing, … .  Add to that the Left’s lies (e.g. "gun violence" = gun murders)  in their constant effort to subvert the Second Amendment and disarm law abiding citizens, then you have the essence of how our friends across the aisle are fundamentally transforming America.  Watch this short video in its entirety for a snootful on the topic.  gjr]

Spenseville refuge near Beale has some pigs but they are pressured enough to remain primarily nocturnal. Pigs can wreak havoc in people’s gardens and lawns and have been pretty destructive on some properties on and near Perimeter Road. If you know any folks that way you’ll likely get permission. Most residents will ask that you use a bow rather than a firearm while shooting near their neighborhood. A MUCH better bet for pigs is in Sonoma and Lake County and in the hills south of Monterey Bay. Unless you have access to private land, it is largely a mix of luck and paying your dues until you cross paths with a pig on public land. Good luck!

Oh John, you did a Hillary no-no. She is to addressed as Hillary, not Hill. You are on her enemies list by now. Boy, you have a knack for stepping in it and showing what an evil sexist you really are. She is not your ideal because she is a woman I bet. Oh well, I still will glance at your posts to see if your war on women continues unabated. If so, we here will defend the fairer sex as well as all the little people downtrodden as a direct result of White Male Elitist Supremist Privilege. Miles to go before I sleep, miles to go.

Panicky, vindictive and self absorbed was how she was described both as First Lady and later as Secretary of State……exactly the sort of qualities the we want in the leader of a fading, dysfunctional empire. She should have stayed a senator where she could have indulged in her Mikulskiite inclinations with no fear of opprobrium and couldn’t by herself screw the country up to any great degree.

This NYT piece is particularly for Tozer and fish. Some of us on the left spectrum can laugh at the silliness of youth and certain student actions on college campuses. Perhaps the priorities of young activists are slightly misplaced when we see General Tzo’s chicken preparation methods in the headlines.

O College is on the list of the top 20 schools whose grads make the least 6 years after graduation. Must be one of those “liberal arts” diploma factories. Plus, it is in the top 20 for most expensive private colleges. An outrage to be certain.
Steamed rice is ok instead of fried rice, but don’t you dare mess with my grits. Or biscuits, or don’t even think about messing with real lumpy gravy over real lumpy mashed spuds.. That be downright overt hostility.

Yeah Don. Also Trump is surging which has the GOP establishment in panic mode. He’s their worst nightmare.
    Politico Reports:
“What happens to the party if he wins?
With Trump as its standard-bearer, the GOP would suddenly be asked to rally around a candidate who has been called by his once and former primary foes “a cancer on conservatism,” “unhinged,” “a drunk driver … helping the enemy.” A prominent conservative national security expert, Max Boot, has flatly labeled him “a fascist.” And the rhetoric is even stronger in private conversations I’ve had recently with Republicans of moderate and conservative stripes…….

    Don and others
The thing to remember about Trump and Cruz is that they are hated by the Republican establishment and particularly by the big money folks-National Chamber of Commerce, Wall street, international corps etc etc. they know they can work with Hillary because they got along so well with Billy boy and they both can both be bought. I’m not sure you can buy Trump and that makes him a threat. The establishment in both parties hate populism because it involves passionate followers (Tea Party etc)
Newt never made the cut because he’s actually a conservative intellectual with real principals and a practical way of looking at solutions (immigration for example which sunk him in 12) and a brilliant man.
If Cruz gets the nomination he’s going to have to answer every time that if local police stop someone who is an undocumented immigrant they will be responsible for sending him to immigration cops and shipped out of the country even if they may have children here, a good job and have lived a peaceful life for 20 years. The majority of Americans won’t buy that population. Rubio is the Pubber the Dems fear the most for sure that has a chance at the nomination. Bush is headed for Perryland and the rest don’t have a chance. The Repubs have a sure winner with Kasich and Rubio (VP) because they would surely carry Ohio and Florida but Kasich is a Reagan Conservative and that won’t qualify as being Conservatively Correct these days. That ticket would scare the crap out of the Dems but it will never happen. What is happening is qualified Conservatives such as Graham, Bush, Kasich and Perry are passed over because they are not radical enough for the hungry crowds who need to be fed raw meat to satisfy their hunger. The problem is that while they may be a slim majority of the Pubbers they are a distinct minority of the voting electorate as a whole and will not win head to head with Hillary once the campaign is just down to two parties.
So Trumpers have a good time and if you win remember he is a dream come true for the Dems.

CalWatchdog: CA breaks gun sales records
Californians have drawn national attention by buying more guns in the wake of the terror attacks in San Bernardino.
“Californians have already bought a record number of firearms in 2015, including major spikes in sales on Black Friday and the days after the San Bernardino attacks,” reported the San Jose Mercury News, citing new federal and state data on the sales. “Firearms purchases in California triggered 1.51 million federal background checks in the first 11 months of the year, breaking the previous annual record of 1.47 million set last year,” the paper added.
The reaction to the San Bernardino shootings was swift, with “as many as 6,000 guns being sold a day in the days after two jihadists massacred 14 people,” according to Fox News. “Figures provided by the California Department of Justice to FoxNews.com show that in the four days after the massacre, there were 20,664 sales, compared to only 12,649 from Nov. 29 to Dec. 2.”

I think Don is referring to local elections around Pot cultivation. He fails to note that the recent new cultivation laws signed by the governor which legallizes cultivation for medical pot has the endorsement of Calif law enforcement since they played a major role in the negotiations that led to the new legislation. It’s a whole new ball game folks.
““This new structure will make sure patients have access to medical marijuana, while ensuring a robust tracking system,” Brown wrote in his signing message. “This sends a clear and certain signal to our federal counterparts that California is implementing robust controls not only on paper, but in practice. He noted that some of the standards, including the licensing system, don’t take effect until Jan. 1, 2018. But, he said, “state agencies will begin working immediately with experts and stakeholders on crafting clear guidelines, so local government, law enforcement, businesses, patients and health providers can prepare and adapt to the new regulated system.”
An estimated 1,250 medical marijuana dispensaries are operating in the state, with sales of about $1.3 billion, according to industry groups.”

After reading Paul and others’ glee over the Republican Party’s dilemma about the Trump Problem, I also rejoice for different reasons. Tear down the house. All the articles about the wailing and gnashing of teeth by the “real Republican Party establishment” is music to my ears. And the media hyperventilating over what Trump is doing TO the party (complete with convential wisdom and feigned concern over their buddies the Republicans) is fantastic news. Take them down Donald, grind them into the dust I say.
Fish posted a great placard that said something like “Trump is the murder weapon and the target is the Republican Party” House cleaning time for those of us who are tired of being taken to the cleaners.
