[We now hear the latest from the steroidally augmented politically correct. At Brooklyn’s PS#169 the teachers have banned even the use of the terms ‘Christmas’, ‘Santa Claus’, ‘Thanksgiving’, and several others in school affairs as hearkening back to a time of error and religion.  Adding to their decades long progress in neutralizing the American intellect, our educators are opening a second front to extinguish our culture and cultural values.  How long until the Left establishes newspeak.gov, an online service for those who demand their daily prophylaxis against being insensitive, racist, homophobic, religionistic, discriminative, …, and foster proper gradations of inclusivity, balance, gender neutrality, global perspective, ecological sensitivity, celebration of transgenderism, … on our road to becoming the new Socialist Person (I almost said ‘Man’)?.  gjr]

I am low class Gregory. Kesti is right. But it is in the eye of the beholder. I do not diss anyone here who is not a libnut. Now that is classy.
John is correct about Paul Emery. He called me some names and they are nor true and refuses to retrack. What is that called?

Okay let me reconsider my branding you a sexist racist but first do this.
On it’s own a statement like “We “white males” of America are the engine of progress and the world is so much better off.”is meaningless without some form of thoughtful analysis to gather that conclusion. Can you give me some insight into your research in that matter? In that analysis please equate the value of child rearing and family responsibilities and the time frame you attribute your research to.
Also as a dig let me ask you how many women have started wars?

Paul, that backhanded and insincere “reconsideration” IMO puts you lower on the class rung than Todd.
Still on the Dark Side you are.

I am giving Todd an opportunity to change my mind that he is a racist sexist. I’m a reasonable guy with an open mind and am willing to admit a mistake.

    Todd please note the following:

“I am giving Todd an opportunity to change my mind that he is a racist sexist. I’m a reasonable guy with an open mind and am willing to admit a mistake.”

This is a rhetorical device found on the first page of the lefty/SJW playbook. Accuse you of something and then magnanimously give you the opportunity to defend yourself. Rest assured there is nothing you can do or say that will change Mr. Emerys mind. He was sure you were a racist, a sexist, a homophobe, etc. before this latest exchange even started. He will feel the same no matter what evidence you provide to the contrary.
Were I you I’d tell Mr. Emery to do his own fucking homework if he’s curious as to the historical contributions of white men.

In the past you have supported education being administrated on a local level. When you witness situations like you describe above how best should it be “corrected”, on a local, city, county, State or Federal level?

That’s a good question. I can think of a few. Boudica, Zenobia, Catherine the Great, Elizabeth I. I would guess it’s more a matter of the job description than it is gender.

Isabella I of Spain not only started a war or two, she forced the deportation of Moslems and Jews who refused to convert. Nobody expects the Spanish Inquisition.
So much for the moral superiority of females… but it’s so politically correct to believe it so.

PaulE 611pm – Local level worked well there, and I believe the experience is easy to replicate all over the land. Recall, that it was national political correctness that caused the ‘educator’ to ban all those traditional terms in the first place.

Yes, racist because it implies that one race is superior to another. The next logical step is that the superior race would have privileges and status above others re Nazi Germany

Paul you read into Todd’s words what your bigotry leads you to believe… I’ve never seen you give a conservative the breaks you give your own tribe.
Post Civil War America has been the engine of prosperity for the world; not because the majority was white and superior, but because they got it done. In fact, the white British in the 19th century were often pissed at how Americans outproduced British factories with British machines that Americans .made even better had little to do with the skin color they had in xommon or the common language that separated them.
It’s culture, it’s physical and intellectual capital. Natural resources, the first major country formed by truly liberal men who rose to the occasion, the first stable Republic formed by kicking out monarchist England, the major world power of the day.
Freedom isn’t just a Yang worship word.
Nazi? Thanks for your Godwin forfeit, allowing to respond. Check out the animation Jeffie thinks is appropriate for thought: if you can’t see the same sort of dehumanizing employed by brownshirt Germany in the ’30’s, you’re in denial.
The left sees bigotry and racism everywhere they look unless it’s inward and that’s a direction they should look more often.

So, if I make the observation that men are taller than women, it’s sexist? Because Hitler?
    I get it.
Given the modern propensity to build third rails for opinion, these kinds of discussions are best left alone. The tendency is to build verbal traps for those who are least able to deal with modern catechisms. Opinions are best held by those who are retired, self-employed, or have had an itinerant work life. As a FTE, I can only brush this kind of thing.
My own view is that over time, what is viewed as proper opinion will become more codified and we will pass from mob rule on what is viewed as correct thinking to building a proper nomenklatura. The game is already lost and the screws will continue to tighten as a proper surveillance society sets in. It’s really nothing to fret about, it’s all happened before.

No retraction unless Todd gives us some kind of criteria for his statement. What information and values does he use to come to that assumption? Todd speaks first then thinks later. Probably why he’s disappeared from this conversation. That will not serve him well in his campaign for District i Supervisor if he decides to do that.

Just a reminder to readers that this critique against me comes largely from those who had no objection to Larry Wirth referring to President Obama as a Coon.
“Watch the C(oon) in Chief close Gitmo, free the detainees, and then hand over the real estate to the bros Castro as he’s leaving office. Final piece to his “legacy,” fulfilling one last campaign promise from 2008. Any bets for this not happening from folks on this blog? Thought not.”
