So writes conservative commentator Erick Erickson (here) in a piece in which he dissects Obama’s 6dec15 lecture from the Oval Office (more here) We watched it with friends last night, hoping against hope from our President for an epiphany of situational awareness and national leadership – nothing.
As he droned on, his words (here) ranged the gamut from stultifying to outrageous. Unbelievable!
And Turkey our ally has not flown one air strike against against ISIS since Nov. 24th. Perhaps we could stop focusing on Syria and our obsession to rid Assad from power (for the time being) and really, for once, focus on ISIS. Think Libya when pondering Assad. At least socialist leaning France came out and declared War on Isis. Yep, we will need boots on the ground if we are more than all talk and bluster.
All in all, when everything is said and done, it appears we are going back to the pre 911 mentality.

I did see one positive. He said that the Fort Hood shooting in 2009 done by Maj. Hasan was a terrorist attack. It only took him 6 years to change his tune from workplace violence to a terrorist attack. Now maybe the victims and their families can get closure.

Mr. Gary Smith. Well, maybe those wounded at Fort Hood can qualify for at least a Purple Heart now (that is important to some I hear), or more importantly, the children of Fort Hood’s slain military personnel can apply for war orphans benefits when they attend college to help pay the rent.
Obama has his legacy to think about and quite reluctantly was dragged by the latest polls to say Islamic Terror.. Boy, you know he did not relish being forced to say that for political expediency.

Logically it seems to me you would have to be a retard to not make the connection between Islamic State and Islam. I mean hey, if a Christian started murdering Muslims and called himself the “Christian Militia” and held a Bible while shooting or slashing, you could take it to the bank the lames and Obama would connect those dots. Don’t know about the rest of you, put I fulfilled my promise to my Dad this morning by spending time reflecting in silence about Dec 7th. I promised him I would never forget. It did bother him greatly the only time in years that it made the front page was the 50th Anniversity. He was right. The front page had nothing on the 49th, 51st, 52nd, 53rd, 54th, etc……..Anniversity of December 7, 1941. Yep, Dad, I will remember every darn year until I die, and I will never ever forget daily those still on patrol.
Opps, off topic. Me thinks ISIS and maybe a few other devote followers of the billion member Holy Religion of Peace just might hate us more than we could ever hate them. My heart can’t hold that much hate more than 5 minutes. Obama? Well, I told ya he has a big ole soft spot in his heart for the moderate Islamics, aka, The Brotherhood.

No Drama Obama’s hastily called address to the nation reminded me of a religiousjoke centuries old. Q: Why did the prophet have visions of dying? A: Because he was being stoned.
There is what I have been asking myself. Context is “That Woman” from San Bruno. I ask myself how could a mother look at that 6 month old baby and say goodbye to the infant that morning? Sure, she prepared herself for that since the kid was born. She knew it then, that the moment was approaching when she would drop her one and only baby off and forsake everything in this world for her beliefs. How do you beat that? With bombs?

The USA had no immigration from 1924 to 1965. It was an attempt to assimilate those that had come at the turn of the last century. It actually worked. Trumps said just give it some time to see what we can do. And the PC crowd and the PC Republicans are apoplectic. Hell, the greatest democrat President put 120,000 Japanese into concentration camps and not one peep from the current PC nuts. All this gives Trump as much of the free press he wants. I think he knows this s causing the PC crowd to crap their pants and attack him thereby more press. I think his strategy is interesting and it seems to be working.
Also, these PC folks say it does not “reflect” our values. Why is that? And who set those values into cement? Perhaps we should stop all immigration so we can assimilate the folks already here? But foremost this Trump discussion is making people yap and talk and discuss. Love it!

Well Paul the Congress just reinstituted visa requirements on people from free travel countries who have been in the danger zones in the last 5 years as well as those from the war zones. Exemptions for diplomats and military. Over 400 votes, sounds like common sense since there is no real way to do a background check in a failed country that has no government to speak of.
