Walt, libs are a foolish bunch? Nay, they are a dangerous bunch. They create 3rd world squalor living conditions and ghettos and promise workers’ paradise. They think they “grant us freedoms”, but strive to control everything and everybody. They build prisons without bars. No hope, no future, no calling a spade a spade. It’s a dangerous agenda.
There are too many parallels between this short video (on another topic) and the liberals’ agendas and actions.
They have a place to put those who do not conform, those who dare to say and think differently than the talking points and spin. That place is off to the side.

That’s right Bill. The LIBS say “we will protect you”. Really? tell that to all the people that got violated by criminals up on Bannor Mt. in the last few days.( but there are laws against breaking into someones home.) the local police blotter says every day “we are not protected”.
Listening to the scanner today, someone reported a suspicious car. the officer was sent out a half our later.( Yup,, we will get right on that.)
Thanks to LIBS “prop 47” these violations of our homes is a misdemeanor. The chances of jail time is slim to none. Great deterrent. But WE are supposed to give up our guns. I say,, F U!!LikeLike

Walt-
I have perhaps a dozen weapons ranging from home protection to plinking and (mostly) hunting, but am in no way a firearm expert in any sense of the word. I simply enjoy guns for what they are. I reload my shotgun shells, not so much as to make them any better than factory loads, but more affordable and I kind of enjoy the repetitive mindlessness that results in a pile of useable goods at the end of a session. A fruitful meditation of sorts.LikeLike
-
Good to hear it Jon.I reload as well. (to keep my shooting bill down)
I’m no “expert” either. But I do own an AR or two. ( I reload for those to keep them well fed) Now to get into a CWP class. I just picked up a nice .45 for the task.
( having a great pistol range in the backyard is a plus)LikeLike

jon, Hillary gives me tingles down my leg. Our gal is smart. Every word she speaks, every hand motion, every reaction is a pre-calucalated political motivated move. What you see is what you may not get, but we love our gal any ways. Do you think Hillary will be a better President than Obama? It’s a low barrier to jump over but it’s too early to tell.
I am so excited. Our gal will stomp Bernie into the dirt when her goon square goes after him like they did that redneck trailor trash Paula Jones. That one only cost her $850,000. No wonder she left the White House broke, with only a few suitcases of stolen White House China and some furniture belonging to people of these here United States.
It’s a shame what she is doing to Bernie right now, especially when one ponders how he went out of his way to rescue her from nasty questions about some Libya thing. But, that’s why the American people find her so irresistibly endearing.
On the other side is Trump. What you see is what you get: Trump, the same yesterday, today, and the same for the next 8 years. The only Trump has got right is that Rosie is butt dog ass ugly. Our gal is red hot!!LikeLike

Now why on Earth would anyone save for a “party before nation” prog. vote for “the law does not apply to me”Clinton? Or a senile Socialist?
Trump is an equal opportunity offender. He scares the shit out of the Left AND the GOP.
The GOP hates him because he can’t be bought and manipulated. The Left just hates him.
Trump is real Hillary is manufactured and polished by the media.
Then we have another terror attack on a LIBS watch.(make that two LIBS.. Throw Brown into the equation.)LikeLike

Walt, me thinks it’s a bad time to visit Lake Chad, Mali, SE Asia ( except India), Europe,….ah heck, just name a spot where the religion of peace has trod. I must say I liked the first few centuries or more of Islam. Back then the Arabs went around killing and slicing up each other, half against half. Too bad they were unsuccessful. But, with nothing to look at that was even half way appealing in the Arab harems, and the goats were plumb tuckered out, guess little head took over and all those single virol Islamic men are now racing to Germany and Sweden where women are….women not in name only. Oh, if only we could turn back the clock to those good old days and heavily arm both sides they would have been more successful in wiping out each other. Oh well.

How long has N.Korea had U.S. prisoners?

“The enlistee’s remains were found near the prisoner of war camp called Camp 5 at Pyoktong in a massive grave that contained the remains of some 322 POWs, the Pennsylvania news outlet reported Sunday.
Stuck told the news outlet his brother appears to have died of starvation. He says that’s based on the condition of the remains, which also indicate that his brother died “maybe 20 years ago.” “LikeLike

Gregory 500pm – That is a sad piece of news. I wish no honest entrepreneur bad luck; and if anything, Reinette deserves a win after a long string of misses. As a minimum, it would be interesting to see what effect such a success in the practice of capitalism would have on a dedicated progressive.

Reinette Senum posted the following to the Nevada County Peeps Facebook page.
“Thank you to all the peeps who have been patient with our Los Mineros hours! We will be closed today and Monday so the chef/owner can catch his breath, see his kids in Oakland, and then return to continue training our fabulous cooking team. We have had irregular hours because we are still working on capacity from being so popular from the moment we opened our doors (a very good ‘problem’). We have a very small kitchen and little storage so we are working on this!!!! Once we open at 11:30am on Tuesday we will most likely be open from 11:30am to about 3pm, close our doors to prepare for the evening, and open again around 5pm until 10pm and sometimes much later depending on the need. Also, will be closed Mondays so our cooks can prep our authentic-made-from-scratch-organic-Mexican-food! Still firming this up. So thank you all for bearing with us… we look forward to serving you!!!”LikeLike

I find it difficult to imagine that the owners of a less-than-one-week-old Nevada City restaurant would not have being open for Victorian Christmas on their to-do list and easy to imagine that there might be any number of contingencies that might prevent achieving that goal, but these might not be as obvious to one who is determined to insult.LikeLike

I hope all of us can achieve our dreams and be comfortable within our own skins. If a new business anywhere needs to regroup and tweak its plans and hours and resources concerning its rollout, well so be it. A non issue IMHO. As in preparing for a football contest, each team starts with a game plan and soon finds out that some adjustments are necessary to achieve the goal of winning.
Back to my latest obsession: Momas don’t let your children grow up to be college students.
Paste it!
The campus Huns pillaging higher education these days only want to talk about “white privilege” — unimpeded by debate, facts, reality, or anything smacking of an opposing point of view — because it is psychologically comfortable and politically empowering. Contemplating that your problems don’t have all that much to do with systemic bigotry is discomfiting. So they want safe spaces to play with their conceptual Lincoln Logs and Tinker Toys.
This is why so many liberals are far, far, far more comfortable calling tea-partiers “terrorists” than they are talking about actual, you know, terrorists. This is why in the wake of the Paris attacks we hear so much about “Christian terrorism” and why so many lefties have raced to arguments about gun control. That is why the supposedly smartest argument among the supposedly smart set these days is to build a time machine and stop Bush from invading Iraq.LikeLike

In which a real constitutional lawyer schools a greasy Chicago Ward Heeler on issues constitutional…….
“There was much in President Obama’s speech tonight that I agreed with, but this part strikes me as wrong:
To begin with, Congress should act to make sure no one on a no-fly list is able to buy a gun. What could possibly be the argument for allowing a terrorist suspect to buy a semiautomatic weapon? This is a matter of national security.
As I mentioned with regard to Sen. Feinstein’s similar proposal, wouldn’t the argument be that these are just “suspect[s],” and we don’t deny constitutional rights based just on suspicion? If you think you can prove someone is a terrorist, lock him up. If you have probable cause to think he’s a terrorist, and think you can develop proof beyond a reasonable doubt, arrest him. Even if you have only suspicion, follow him, ask people about him, and so on. But if you don’t have enough to prosecute or even arrest someone, you can’t take away his constitutional rights, even if you suspect he’s a terrorist (or if you suspect he’s a drug dealer or a gang member or whatever else).
President Obama has acknowledged that “the Second Amendment guarantees an individual right to bear arms.” It follows from that, I think, that “suspect[ing]” someone — even suspecting someone of terrorism — isn’t reason enough to deny him that individual right. (Of course, that’s especially so given that such suspicion can snare people who share the same name as people who are suspected of a crime, and other people who aren’t actually guilty of anything; that’s the consequence of operating based on suspicion rather than based on proof.)
For more on this, see this post (which also briefly touches on no-fly lists, the extremely limited procedures for getting people off the lists, and other related matters).”I have no doubt that the proglodyte “usual suspects” considered Sugar Frosted Barry O’s performance last night masterful!
More’s the pity!

“but these might not be as obvious to one who is determined to insult.”
Kesti, your snide attempt at insult is noted. VC is one of those events where virtually all businesses are open despite their ‘druthers. If there was a will they could have found a way, and the Senum note neither mentioned the first VC they blew off nor intent to participate in the future.LikeLike

Here’s a suggested menu for a minimal VC opening of Los Mineros in the future… to go only:
authentic organic handmade tamales
fresh brewed organic Mexican coffee
Atole/Champurrado (a thickened holiday hot chocolate)
short-short menu.. just Atole.
This would allow Chef to go home to Oakland on Sundays in December yet still have something tasty, organic and authentic to sell to celebrants and keep the lights on.LikeLike

One more crunchy nugget for the old sandbox… Mr. Purple at the Reservoir Hogs blog is claiming I “mocked” Los Mineros here. No, Mr. Purple, I accurately reported that they were locked up and dark for the 1st Victorian Christmas.
Mr. Purple also inaccurately reported Kesti mocked Los Mineros. Kesti’s phone call and email to Mr. Purple explaining how Purple’s report was incorrect did not elicit the desired correction.LikeLike

Mr. Purple is unable to admit wrongdoing. He would be a bad witness in a court case. So transparently narcissistic.
Apparently both Mr. Purple and Mr. Truckee are calling the RR blog and its posters names again. Mr. Truckee never responds to request for a racial breakdown at his SBC tax ripoff. Why is that? He wants to call those that want illegal immigration stopped fascists but refuse to hire any of them? Well, maybe he has some raking his lawn and watching his dogs for less than minimum wage?LikeLike
