[The tragedies of Paris are many, and the immediate loss of life in that city may well be the least of them. As readers know, through the years while countering great leftwing vilification, RR has heralded the Islam's scripturally commissioned invasion through colonization (Hijra). The globalists now are using the raghead attacks in Europe to illustrate the reasons why Syrians and other mideasterners and Africans are fleeing their home countries, and that we in the west should welcome these people into our lands to establish beacheads for their kith and kin, and ultimately their horrific cultures. To better understand the institutional and organizational details of what really is happening, please take time to watch these two short videos (here and here). gjr]

Keep digging that hole Paul, Nam was stated by a DEM. Remember…”Police action”. And also armchair quarterbacked by the W.H. Not to mention, all attacks were telegraphed to the enemy. They always knew we were coming. Now “O” is using the same playbook.
So consider today’s conflict in the Middle East the LIBS Vietnam.
As usual, your full of half backed questions, and mighty short on answers.LikeLike

In Nam, every target in the North we gave advance warning to by dropping leaflets and giving advance warnings to via our diplomatic channels. This was to prevent civilian casualties. . Stupid us. Another “road to hell” is paved with good intentions.
So, what did Hanoi do? They made sure civilians would not leave the targeted areas and moved their antiaircraft defenses to the areas to be struck.. The result was downed American pilots. We assumed the Cong would protect its civilians, but noooo. We just telegraphed to them when and where we would strike next and gave them time to move their antiaircraft batteries into position. We be the good guys and they don’t value life.
Next time somebody talks about John McCain or MIAs or POWs, just reflect that our government told the enemy where and when our pilots would be.
Turn the page and look at ISIS. For a year we have been doing sorties over them, and up to 78% of our jets (depending on timeframes and what sources you believe) drop zero bombs and missles on targets. No strikes, most (many) planes drop their loads in the empty desert and hill country. Why? Might be civilians down there in the midst of the ragheads. We knew where the ISIS HQ is, where command and control operations where set up and never hit them. And, yes, we dropped leaflets. Couple this with the millions of dollars ISIS is receiving via oil revenues to fund their organization. The oil is being transported by 500 oil tanker vehicles (big rigs) and we refused to even strike one, thus insuring a revenue stream for ISIS. Why, because those drivers of the trucks who work for ISIS may be civilians trying to put bread on the table for their families, lol. You work for ISIS, you are part of ISIS anyway you slice and dice it, IMHO. Our policy of containment……rolling eyes.
Well, France took out ISIS’s HQ in one afternoon and Russia wiped out the 500 oil tankers the following day. After one year of Obama inaction, the French and Russians took care of business in hours based on the Intel we gave them. We are pussies. Big hearted pussies, but pussies nonetheless. Glad there are some countries out there that want to destroy the enemy, not just drop leaflets and lauch explosive devices on some barren spot of land.LikeLike

Ok, tax the poor folk! Make them pay through the nose to stop Global Warming. Screw the poor and their devious pathetic harmful lifestyles. If they can’t outlaw Walt’s smoker, at least they can make sure he is cooking squash and corn cobs on his horrible destructive death grill.

…. batshit crazy may be a more appropriate term given that that individual was one Stephen Frisch.
I always found it especially entertaining since Robert Rubin, someone far higher in the “priesthood” than Steve, said unequivocally that the tax code was the single most effective method of modifying peoples behavior.LikeLike

Oh boys, early birds get the worm. Welcome my friends Steve and Fish on this gorgeous morning. Hope you had a good Thanksgiving free of nasty political discourse. I can’t remember who I quoted, perhaps it was The Unknown Comic with the brown bag on his head. 🙂
Ok, back to ugliness. Quote from link above concerning Walt’s consumption habits:
“Interventions to change the relative prices of foods are likely to be among the most effective in changing consumption patterns,” the report notes, adding countries should aim “to increase the price of meat and other unsustainable products” through a carbon tax”. Note to Kesti. Bunch of quotation marks improperly used instead of brackets.
So, the greenies say that higher food prices due to Global Warming (arid farmland) will cause riots and unrest and even wars. So, let’s jack up the price of animal husbandry as a solution? Yep, we all remember a few years ago the riots in Mexico as corn prices rose and riots across Latin America over the cost of food. Has caused some unintended consequences as Colombians cross over into Venezula (as an example) to buy subsidized food staples and sell them in Colombia for a tidy profit. Riots in Africa, the Americas, Asia, and so on and so on. Make food more costly may cause civil unrest…er…make that WILL cause civil unrest, even more than not fixing potholes. Maybe that is the Master Plan to us tin foil hat types and social planners. Civil unrest caused by Global Warming, accelerated by high food prices and availability. A pickle.
What is a Greenie to do?. . They can eat all the garden weeds they want. I prefer a Whooper with cheese, hold the pickles, hold the lettuce. No tomatoes either, please. Tomatoes are for throwing, not for putting in your pie holes.LikeLike

PaulE 1033pm – Paul, we’ve circled this barn before. While WMDs were not found after the invasion (but their previous storage places containing remnants of discarded and defective munitions were discovered), there is ample evidence of large convoys of trucks headed for Syria before the invasion. And it was clear that Saddam had WMDs before the invasion since he gassed his own people more than once with Sarin, a nerve gas. Sarin is a WMD.

Ah, Dr. Rebane, a little segregation does indeed ‘”minimize the potential of conflict.” For example (and using your “near a university campus”), the libs have already segregated themselves by flocking to a safe place, a Liberal Paradise, the Bastion of Progressive Only Good Thinking, aka, a university campus.
Dr. Rebane, Dr. Rebane. First, my kind are barred from addressing our university campus students. It’s their safe haven and we should quit butting our big fat noses in their beeswax. We must let allow them to do the birds of a feather thang. Actually, we have no say in the matter. It’s a liberal hotbed and I feel it would be provocative to enter their turf. That would maximize the potential for conflict.LikeLike

Now the icing on the cake. Black Lives Matter wants us to wipe the term Black Friday from our dictum. What? Black Friday Matters to millions of folks, great and small, rich or poor. Outhouse to Pentehouse, Black Friday Matters.

Black Friday, while not my cup of chamomile flower tea, is an epithet in and of itself, based on its origins. Yeah, right.

So George y ou disagree with Rumsfeldt who admitted that there were no WMD’s and that their presence and primary reason for the war were based on false intelligenc
“Speaking on CNN’s “State of the Union” program, Rumsfeld noted there were multiple reasons for attacking Iraq and ousting Saddam Hussein from power.
However, intelligence reports — now shown to have been false — that Iraq possessed WMDs were the main reason for going in, Rumsfeld said.
“No question it was the big one,” he said. Asked if the United States would not have invaded if the administration hadn’t believed Iraq had the weapons of mass destruction, Rumsfeld said: “I think that’s probably right.”. .

It just wasn’t politically correct to admit there were WMDS.
Paul has yet to address our troops who came back with chemical weapons exposure,
and radiation poisoning.
@Joe.. That was “police action” time. We were “advising and training”
Then the DEMS took the wheel. Then “statistics” was the order of the day. McNamara and his “wizzkids” knew best. ” Bullets to body counts” needed to add up. Politicians wanted to run the war,,, uh police action. Then the M-16 came along, and that got messed with via politics. Screw what the designer said about what gun powder to use. ( we had plenty of the “other stuff”. My son-in law has the powder contract)
But that’s a whole other political football.
Thanks to “we know best” DEMS we got out ass handed to us by the Commies.
But I guess we can blame that on Nixon…. Right? ( He was in the W.H. when that happened.)LikeLike

George
Those events happened in 1988. At that time he was receiving millions in US aid which continued after the use of WMD’s were known which implies to me that we had no objection to his actions at the time. What evidence do you have that he used them any time close to the US invasion? Here’s a brief summary:
“On 16 March 1988, Iraq dropped bombs containing mustard gas, Sarin and Tabun on the Kurdish city of Halabja.
Estimates of the number of civilians killed range from 3,200 to 5,000, with many survivors suffering long-term health problems.
Chemical weapons were also used during Iraq’s “Anfal” offensive – a seven-month scorched-earth campaign in which an estimated 50,000 to 100,000 Kurdish villagers were killed or disappeared, and hundreds of villages were razed. A UN security council statement condemning Iraq’s use of chemical weapons in the war was issued in 1986, but the US and other western governments continued supporting Baghdad militarily and politically into the closing stages of the war.”

PaulE 1156am – Ah yes, now we’re departing ‘whether he had them’ and going into the ‘when did he have them?’ Paul, it really does not matter when he used them vs when he had them. There is no evidence that he got rid of them 1) way before the US invaded or 2) right after the last time he used them, especially as he continued to brag that he had WMDs all along. Your argument on Iraq’s WMDs has now positioned itself solidly on thin ice.

I paraphrase of course.
I quite sure that you practice “Doublethink” daily….and that you and Robby Bobby Boo would be in near complete agreement as to how the rabble should be manipulated. Through taxation where applicable (as you have admitted) and punitively when not. Re the Paris conference – our community organizer and large scale liar pronounced in somber tones yesterday that the main task of the conference is to save mankind from a catastrophic warming if the earth’s temperature increases by two degrees Celsius by the end of the century. At that time according to that great scientist earth would become “uninhabitable” – the bullshit just continues to flow smoothly and all the local ‘debate is over’ lackeys just keep nodding in unison, dunning anyone who dares to have an independent thought on the matter.
Not only is there no consensus on preventable global warming, the 2C temp increase is just a brown number pulled out of you know where. Many of us have been advising our panicked brethren of this for years. Now on the eve of the conference –

I highly recommend reading a post at Watts Up With That: Climate and Human Civilization over the last 18,000 years by Andy May. This post examines earth’s climate and it’s impact on human civilization over the last 18,000 years. It is interesting to note that cold periods were accompanied by long-term droughts. Droughts that disrupted civilizations and in many cases promoted collapse.
California is mentioned. Noting the worst megadrought in the California and Nevada area lasted from 832 AD to 1074 AD, 242 years of drought. Desprat, et al, 2003, identifies a very cold period from 450-950 AD.LikeLike

I supposed the question posed should be “How much more Global Warming do I have to endure before I start freezing my nuts off? Knew a college professor that got stranded in a white out blizzard for 3 days. He froze his Patriot Missle clean off, it snapped. After a long recovery, he returned back to work as just another dickless lib.

Ya’ see? THIS is why the AGW gang buried “global warming” and re-branded the “sky is falling” yapping to “climate change” ( OH SHIT!! our claim of a BBQ atmosphere has snuffed out!) Now wait for the claim of those evil gasses to be the cause of abnormal cooling.
The “change” was made so no matter what happens they can claim to be right.
Who wants to move to the soon to be frozen tundra of Mid West or East coast? And will all the coal ops shut down. Enjoy the massive heating bills. ( ya’ might need a loan)
Hummm ,,,,On that note I better check the heating oil futures. The Capitalist in me is looking to make a buck.LikeLike
