Corporatism – when government has less to sell, there are fewer buyers.
[Boehner's swansong highlights the problems conservatives have had with the man for some time now. There doesn't seem to be a hill worth dying on in his political geography. Can some cleverer minds remind us what now the congressional Republicans have to bargain with a rogue hard left Executive branch once they have forfeited the power of the purse which the Constitution specifically reserved for them and them alone? gjr]
US energy mix.
I’m seeing charts on the EIA website (with circle and arrows and a paragraph on the back of each one) showing a several point increase in renewables, flatlined natural gas, and a slight push down for liquid petroleum over the next 30 years. Nothing earth-shaking but there’s a slight trend here.
I wonder to what extent the energy mix is driven by an increased need for electricity combined with higher fuel efficiency on vehicles (thus using less liquid fuel). These energy sources aren’t 100% fungible. The internet, for example, is a relatively new thing that uses a bucketload of energy.

The best indicator of the state of the national and international economy is the price of oil and gas. Libnuts like “jon” whined and cried when the oil companies were making a gazillion bucks a year (while praising the high prices to people as a way to lower the carbon) and now when they aren’t the libnuts can’t even say anything good about the prices. Total free market worldwide on the energy business. But libnuts like “jon” still remain unhappy. I truly think libnuts are born unhappy and and spread their grief to the planet’s people. But with Jerry Brown signing the “kill myself” bill, these unhappy libnuts like “jon” can escape this terrible place all by themselves. And lowering the planet’s carbon footprint to boot!LOL!

Yo Jon, I am a racist. No doubt about it. The other day I stopped at the store just past the Y on 174. Been years since I entered that place, a small convience store/market. The clerk was so nice and friendly and eager to help me find what I was seeking. He is from India and a great fellow. I could tell immediately that he was no a Muslim from the Middle East because he 1) did not act superior 2) he was friendly and eager to help me 3) he was working! I will stop in again next time I drive by that store.
Then, those guys from India at the cig store on E. Main are great. Humble, funny at times, pleasant, and have jobs. They speak great English and one blesses me when I leave. The younger one I always give a little trash talk to, cause unlike “we” he can take it and flick it back. I asked him what this Shiek stuff is about and he explained. I asked him why he doesn’t wear a long robe and have a diaper on his head like this nice people do, and he said “hey, hey now!” I told him that being a diaper head is a lot better than being a towel head like some of those crazy Pakistani towel heads. He saw my point.
So, I am a racist because I like all them India Indians. All of them. I judge them on their race, creed, and country of origin, instead on the individual’s content of character.
Yep, I be a racists cause I love the whole lot of them, each and every one. No need to judge a man on his actions or character. That is soooo old school Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. talk, that is sooo adorable, yet sweep under the carpet. This is the post racial era and Dr. King’s preaching falls on deaf ears in the colored communities. People of color, that is. Like La Raza (The Race), :). Time to get with the times!! Keep up or fall behind.
Being a racist means I pre-judge our new refreshing and intelligent India Indians and they are all great in my eyes, billions of them whom I will never meet. That is racist thinking.
Now that diaper heads are cool in my book, I still cannot stomach them lazy ass towel heads that think they are above the law…er….at least US law by the ones I have had the misfortune of meeting personally. Subsidies. Messrs BenE and jon reintroduce us to the progressive definition of subsidies. And these all start with the premise that neither the (or any) company, its produced product, nor its revenues first and foremost belong to its private sector owners. But it really goes downhill from there when they start looking at depletion allowences, capital equipment depreciation, and tax rates. All of these and more are to them government give-aways that take money out of the pockets of poor and have caused America to be the world’s number one socio-economic disaster.
As an aside, the added costs of regulatory compliance and special assessments do not enter into these accounting tirades.
But the bottom line is that somehow the energy companies are treated differently from other enterprises with similar operating factors. It is for all this greed and extraordinary profits this industry commands that our fuel prices are out of reach, the energy company share prices are always sky rocketing, and America’s outsized population of the poor and destitute can neither afford food, transportation, nor heat for their shabby quarters. And in the final analysis it explains away why people from other lands no longer immigrate to America and why Americans by the millions are embarking for other more favorable shores.
But I do agree that if government had less to sell, then there would be fewer buyers like those greedy oil/gas companies.

Sheriff Jones on talk show called out 0 for his alynski tactics like the mike brown narrative that still persists in the Dems talking points. Cerate false division then exploit the division to sow more discord to advance radical agendas. The real problem is he is doing on a world wide basis not just here.

Oh Walt, of course she has committed numerous felonies. One is the second she left State, she was required to turn everything over to State, including any personal owned computers she conducted any Goverment Hanky Panky……er….any Goverment work related business on. It all gets turned over upon departing State and she was heavily debriefed on the handling of gov’t business.
I always felt that Rodclam was jumbling State, her President campaign/aspirations, the Foundation, keeping track of her husband and what company he has been seeing lately, and getting Chelsea hooked up with $600,000/year part time jobs all at the same time. It was too much for her. Too much on the plate. She just was not paying attention and taking every shortcut she could and handling all poorly all simultaneously.
Rodclam just does not what it takes to stay on the ball, to be paying attention to business at hand, to…she just does not have Presidential material. She ain’t stupid, just irresponsible at best, grossly incapable to handle Presidential duties at best. She can’t even two e-mail accounts at once for Pete’s Sake.
Walt, that reminds me of a case years ago down in Texas defended by Racehorse Haines. Seems this disfunctional family was picking up hitchhikers and homeless folks and kept them as slave labor on the family compound. About 20 of them hitchhikers and bums. Mom Kettle ran the family and even forced the slaves to make love to the gross ugly huge piggy Ma. Do you have any idea what the captives did for their slave labor?? They sat at tables and painted Happy Faces on balls and various round objects all day long. What a paradox.
Well, they were charged under the RICO act and Racehorse Haines got them to beat the rap. He proved in court that this family was so disorganized, so disfunctional, so off the wall and screwed up that there is no way they and Ma could ever be considered “organized crime”, lol.
That’s Hillary Rodclam to a tee. They will prove that she is too disorganized, too busy with other things, too messed up or too distracted coupled with simply not being capable to pay attention (stupid) to ever prosecute.
Ain’t no crime to be stupid, unable to focus or handle the job, or simply not paying any attention, now is it. She, like our beloved goofy FUE, is just too big to jail. Ain’t no crime being an airhead.

2) Rodclam was asleep at the wheel
3) Rodclam does not possess the right stuff to run just one Cabinet position, nor handle two e-mail accounts, nor talk and chew gum at the same time, i.e., inept.
