Hillary told the House Benghazi hearing that 1) Chris Stevens should have known better than to expect the security he requested, and also that being a diplomat was a dangerous profession; 2) she never saw the Stevens’ urgent security requests – “they didn’t rise to my level”; and 3) as SecState, if she wasn’t aware of it, she was not responsible for what State did or not.  So there.

Teacher and author Helaine Smith teaches ‘High-School English Without the Politics’ – what a concept!  She teaches critical thinking through the classics with the objective that “what my students are learning is a lesson that is not political but is essential for politics: that one must support assertions with proofs, that one must consider counterarguments, that it’s necessary to listen to what others say and that doing so may allow you to strengthen, or force you to alter, what you think.”  In sum, she tells us that “I am reassured that I send forth young adults who, whatever political positions they adopt, will question before they conclude, and will respect others’ rights to question and to conclude otherwise.”  I’m not reassured that most of our country’s English teachers have either the intellectual horsepower or motivation to equally grace their students.  (more here)

Why not more black scientists? asks professor of law and civil rights commissioner Ms Gail Herlot.  She might want to sit in on Ms Smith’s class to improve her own ability to puzzle out such issues.  In her 22oct15 WSJ piece she claims that it all has to do with “the perverse impact of university racial preferences” wherein first rate universities fill their racial quotas with Sec 8 blacks who are not ready to compete with their white and Asian counterparts.  Even though blacks enter such schools more interested in STEM subjects, they quickly drop out or “transfer to softer majors” when hit with the reality of the competition they encounter in top schools.

She assures us that “this is not because they don’t have the right stuff”, because “many do” and cites that black students entering second rate schools have a much higher graduation rate in STEM subjects when encountering weaker competition.  As proof she astounds us with the tautology that half the graduates of ‘historically black colleges and universities’ have “entering credentials in the top half of the class” when they go for advanced degrees.  Now I don’t really know how to communicate this to the good professor, but how in hell could half such black students from all black schools NOT graduate in the top half of their class?  (more here)

The globalists operate a subtle program of population control in third world countries.  While not explicitly making the case, internationally known environmentalist Bjorn Lomberg (director of the Copenhagen Consensus Center) gives ample data that the billions of dollars spent and promised to these backward countries for “climate-related aid” is a big mistake.  These countries don’t need additional solar panels, but they do “need help with tuberculosis, malaria, and malnutrition.”  Solar and other renewable power generators will not provide the amount of reliable electricity needed in those nations to make a difference in the countries’ economies or delivered healthcare.  “Green energy sources may be good to keep on a single light or to charge a cellphone.  But they are largely useless for tackling the main power challenges for the world’s poor.”

This, of course, makes no never mind to the world’s progressive elites again meeting in Paris later this year.  Putting some of that very corruptible money into mosquito nets alone would save about 300,000 lives a year.  And for the gruberized first world masses, that good feeling from fighting 'climate change' is worth every dark skinned life that must be sacrificed – good feelings are not cheap. (more here)

The exodus to red states continues.  Our innumerable and innumerate Left denies any such migration, especially if the tally is taken by the likes of the Heritage Foundation (here).  But both the Dept of Commerce and the IRS have the numbers which under this administration will not be ushered into the light of day.  In California the paradigm is ‘government dependent illegals in, wealth generating middle class workers out’.  And I’ll be a sumbich if the population doesn’t keep on increasing.

    The timeline of Hillary’s lies.
    http://www.breitbart.com/big-journalism/2015/10/23/gowdy-committee-verifies-timeline-of-hillary-clintons-benghazi-cover-up/
At the same time, “O” and Co. let’s Lois Learner off the hook for that “terrorist attack”
by her and the IRS upon the American people.
    http://dailycaller.com/2015/10/23/justice-department-lets-lois-lerner-off-the-hook/
And how can an America loving LIB (are there really any?) actually still support
“O” and Co.? (let alone vote for Hillary)
It will always be party before country. Unlike people on the Right, who support Country over party. That’s why the GOP is in deep shit. The Tea Party is replacing them, and even in the House, the minority Conservatives ( elected by, and supported by the Tea Party) are the squeaky wheels. Seems we will now have a Tea Party values Speaker.
So much for the Tea Party being dead, according to the LIBS.

Rodclam will spike in the end zone. First she dug up all the dirt on Shotgun Joe, which wasn’t hard to do. That guy should learn boundaries.

Then, she should be not held to account for Benghazi. After, it was like being “in the fog of war”, yet she thinks she should be President. The poor darling, it was like handling two e-mail accounts.

I don’t think her ego will allow her to pick anyone with even a hair more personality than she has….Warren, Sanders are both lefty “rock stars” and would likely swamp her doughty middle aged supervisor at the local DMV field office white woman persona.
The only person I can think of offhand who is less exciting than she is “Mr Metric System” Lincoln Chafee.

“IF A CORPORATION DID THIS, HEADS WOULD ROLL. SINCE IT’S THE GOVERNMENT, PROBABLY NO ONE WILL EVEN BE FIRED. BLM illegally sold thousands of wild horses for slaughter. “Between 2009 and 2012, rancher Tom Davis purchased the horses through the agency’s Wild Horse and Burro Program (WH&B) and wrongfully sent them to slaughter, according to the report from the Interior Department’s Office of Inspector General. According to the allegations and news reports, Mr. Davis also had farming and trucking connections with former Secretary of the Interior Ken Salazar.” Culture of corruption.”

Yeah…..no heads rolled over poisoning the Animas river either. Oh well I guess “they meant well”….the magic phrase that numbs the populace to regularly displayed ineptitude.

Actually the Animas River was a product of profitization/ privatization of public services. It was a private company that was hired to do the job and they broke the dam. The question is why was the toxic waste reservoir there to begin with? I used to live just on the other side of a mountain from where that took place. I hiked around that area a ton over the years. The fact is a corporation did do this and they walked away and left the clean up and the bill for the people. What to do with a reservoir of toxic waste?
Then you have people wanting to reopen the mines around here despite all the evidence that water contamination would be a high likelihood and just the tip of the iceberg of environmental issues that would threaten the region. We had them in Colorado and we have them here, people who live in denial of history and only look at the short term benefits while ignoring the long term detriments.

Government hires contractors to do a great deal of the actual labor for clean up activities. Are you of the opinion that an EPA excavation crew would have performed the job any better?
The fact is a corporation did do this and they walked away and left the clean up and the bill for the people. What to do with a reservoir of toxic waste?
What to do….what to do indeed? Ben you realize that what occurred was in the context of a clean up activity? That the EPA was responsible for the work plan and oversight?

“Mohammed is Fritz’s retirement plan. But Mohammed has a very different type of plan. Fritz is counting on Mohammed to work while he relaxes. Mohammed relaxes and expects Fritz to work. Fritz is not related to him and therefore Mohammed sees no reason why he should work to support him.
European social democracy reduces society to a giant insurance plan in which money is pooled together. But insurance is forbidden in Islam which considers it to be gambling. European social democracy expects him to bail it out, but to Mohammed, European values are a crime against Islam.
Mohammed’s Imam will tell him to work off the books because paying into the system is gambling. However taking money out of the system is just Jizya; the money non-Muslims are obligated to pay to Muslims. Under Islamic law, it’s better for Mohammed to sell drugs than to pay taxes.
That’s why drug dealing and petty crime are such popular occupations for Salafis in Europe. It’s preferable to steal from infidels than to participate in the great gamble of the European welfare state.
Mohammed isn’t staking his future on the shaky pensions of European socialism. He invests in what social scientists call social capital. He plans his retirement by having a dozen kids. If this lifestyle is subsidized by infidel social services, so much the better. And when social services collapse, those of his kids who aren’t in prison or in ISIS will be there to look after him in his golden years.
As retirement plans go, it’s older and better than the European model.

    Europe is done……

fish 847am – Indeed it is until it can regain control of its borders, and so are we. What is interesting is the time that it has taken national pundits to discover what has been there since the 1990s. Europe’s (especially Germany’s) lax migration laws were already allowing and inviting hundreds of thousands of Muslims into their cities because European socialism was prematurely culling the available indigenous workforce which piled on to the demographic problem of low birthrates. Short work week, lots of govt benefits, month and more annual vacations, and early retirement – what’s there not to like. And the numbnuts on this side of the Pond are panting to import the same lunacy onto our shores.
