George Rebane

Predictably Barack Hussein Obama voiced his conclusions and exhortations for gun control before the Roseburg bodies had cooled, the wounded were out of surgery, and any relevant information about the shooter and the shootings had been released by the police – anything to take people’s minds off his debacles in Syria, Iraq, and Afghanistan.  Our national demagogue again addressed the gruberized in an attempt to make them believe that these rare shootings are a national problem that far outweighs those that happen in gun controlled cities day in and day out.  Nowhere did he rise to address the 50 Chicago shootings two weekends in a row – to that sumbich black lives don’t matter, but Agenda21 does.

According to the Rebane Doctrine all gun control laws in legislative debate should address their impact on the Founders’ intent for including the Second Amendment in our Constitution.  Will the new law make it more difficult for citizens to successfully oppose a future rogue government as anticipated by the Founders and echoed by patriot Americans over the last two centuries?  The progressives promoting world socialism always want to divert us from the hundreds of millions of their own citizens that collectivist tyrants have murdered during the last century.  And they do it with the ever popular, ‘It can’t happen in America.’  In the mid-1930s ‘It can’t happen in Germany’ was used to keep the very educated and cultured masses quiet and compliant, even while Stalin was slaughtering kulaks by the tens of millions a few hundred miles away.

Anyone want to make book on what part religion, specifically Islam, played in the mind of the Roseburg shooter?  And all that as Team Obama does its best to disarm law abiding America.  (For those interested, I’m prepared to go through some probabilistic calcs on the number of such people still loose in our population who will not be affected one whit by the Left’s proposed new gun laws.  As long as the perp knows he’s the only one with a gun, these killings will continue.  There are just too many of us, and enough of them.)

[2oct15 update]  Well, the comment stream below has grown enough to attract and include the obligatory leftwing arguments for functionally, if not absolutely, disarming America.  From those commenters we hear nothing about our president rushing to be the first to call for new gun laws, and the first to politicize the event.  The Left, of course, with Alinsky-style retorts, flips that event and accuses those reporting and countering the president’s remarks as instead being the first to politicize this tragedy.

What is important to note is that the Left again 1) says nothing about the non-enforcement of existing gun control laws, continuing their litany of ‘forget enforcement, just pass more restrictive laws’; 2) spells out no specific laws that could have had any effect on the latest shootings; and 3) totally ignores the horrendous history of state killings of citizens in countries that denied them guns (the Second Amendment’s raison d’etre).  As we see from the comment stream, the Left’s educated elites practice cynicism of the highest order in arguing that our ongoing social breakdown is due to factors such as legal gun ownership, western religiosity, capitalistic greed, market-based income inequality (anti-unionism), intrinsic distrust of government, … .  To them society should be organized around an all-encompassing government guided by collectivist elites under whom work legions of altruistic technocrats striving to implement a comprehensively-regulated social order, all for the “greater good”, that is uniquely visible in their lights.

Again, I invite the attentive reader, in these first decades of the last great century of Man, to identify any common ground between our polarized and gruberized body politic that would just support functional communication, let alone that may contain a path to reunion as a citizenry of a sustainable sovereign nation-state.

[6oct15 update]  Rumor has it that President Obama will take his gun control politicizing to Roseburg.  Folks up there don't cotton to Obama, and most certainly his use of this tragic event to grandstand his 2nd Amendment agenda.  The man does not have a sense of decorum or knows that not everyone is a progressive eager to hear the pap he spews.  That, of course, may come as a surprise to some of our locals who think that only a remote group of knuckle dragging old farts in these hills don't take kindly to his politics.  For those progressives, here's an illuminating video of an O'Reilly segment.

I made no specific claim. I think you fall into George’s ‘Gruberized’ category.
But if you must, several people here have long court records including harassment and a number of family court matters.
My observation is that a number of posters here are in my estimation bat shit crazy.
And statistically speaking given the number of posters some percentage of them would surely be disqualified.

Pretty sure “Gruberized” refers to a childish trust placed in the good intentions of government. That’s really more of a “your side” thing….Ben, JoKe, Porcine.
Since “several posters” appears to be about 75% of the commentariat it would appear that you have again misinterpreted the data.
You, of course, are entitled to your opinion.
As mentioned earlier you seem to have difficulty with “the numbers”. I’m not sure inferences from your statistical analyses are going to be particularly helpful.
    ….just sayin…..!

I don’t know Greg, Wayne LaPierre was #97 in 1969, a number which was eventually called up, and he got a family physician to disqualify him based on a ‘nervous disorder’, which at the time was code for a mental illness.
I think I agree with Paul, Todd would meet a disqualification test in my book.

Paul, there’s a Grand Canyon between expecting to be happy upon hearing someone is dead and even so much as lifting a finger to hasten the event.

I don’t know Gregory but when somebody writes words that in effect say that “I’ll be glad when you’re dead” about someone who has a different lifestyle or opinions it causes some concern as to a persons mental state. What if a Muslim were to say they would enjoy reading obituaries of Christians in the local paper should they be able to buy guns and ammunition?

The resident “intellect” representing your broad political opinions in this forum says regularly that just as soon as those old white men standing and yelling “get off my lawn” die off then you guys get to have your well funded utopia.”
You choose not to notice because I think you agree for the most part and the language is couched more elegantly but the sentiment is clearly the same.

Well of course he’d be disqualified in “your book”. I’m sure that all of those here that you’ve diagnosed as “batshit crazy” would be disqualified as well. Along with all the rest not diagnosed yet.
I love seeing that mask slip where real intentions are revealed.

Speaking of ‘old white men dying off’, does anyone have data on the accretion rate for that demographic cohort? Since white men either die young or become old, and since people as they age get more educated and experience life overwhelmingly becoming more conservatarian in the process (according to Pew and other researchers), I’m not sure if the total number of old conservatarians is diminishing. Most certainly this bears investigation in the light of the Baby Boomer Bulge now working its way into retirement years.
For example, there is no evidence that the over-60 population of Nevada County is decreasing, the progressives’ happy dancing in the streets notwithstanding.

It’s because of people like Steven Frisch that we have due process as a cornerstone of a free society.
BTW he still hasn’t disclosed if his Sierra Business Council or his home are gun-free zones… Steve, how can anyone be assured of their personal safety if they come to your door?

Fish, I had forgot that Paul Emery and Steve Frisch said those things quite a few times. They want all us older white men to croak. And they would help the process.
I wonder how many times they have said they appreciate the ISIL killers to become more efficient as well. I would like to testify at the hearing for Steve Frisch and Paul Emery when they try to get a weapon. I think that would be fun. Frisch is obviously unqualified to own a weapon as he appears unhinged in the pages. Paul Emery likes to put words in other mouths so I think he gets a pass for lunacy as well.
Can’t hardly wait to see the hippy scum’s obits. Refreshing for America to get past their destruction.

ToddJ 936am – Nice pick up Todd. It is indeed true and a matter of record in these pages that our leftwing commenters have often declared our hoped for demise sooner than later to be a happy event for them. That is indeed an equivalence of what they accuse you.

Back in the 60’s and 70’s I watched all the air sucked up by the leftists radicals. Those school riots, the cities that burned (and after the Voter’s rights was passed ) and all the other attacks on America. Most Americans were just hard working people raising their families and going to their jobs keeping the country going while all that hippy scum and spoiled brats were tearing it down. So just as Paul Emery and Steve Frisch have jumped for joy about our demise, I am looking forward to seeing the obits of the hippy scum that survived all those drug induced lives.

The continued bitterness and deep seated anger over the 1960s astonishes me to no end. Its pathetic actually. 50 years is a long time to hold on to things. As Don Henley correctly noted, it can eat you up inside. The 60s were difficult, painful for many, but ultimately rejuvenating for society and the world. The positives outweigh the negatives.
Yoga and meditation can work wonders Todd. Very helpful modalities.

George, re: your 10/6 update on Roseburg- I will only say that Nevada County ain’t Douglas County. And I thank god for that every single day! That being sad, I’m sure the majority of folks in Roseburg will treat our President with respect and dignity, even if they disagree on his policies. Wouldn’t surprise me in the least now if he finally takes some modest Executive Action on ways to keep guns away from lunatics.

Jon 431pm – spoken like a true progressive faithful. The extensive clatch of gun laws (including background checks) have only made gun ownership more difficult for law abiding citizens. The lunatics will keep having no problems in getting the guns to do their deeds. But then, that objective was only a guise to begin with.

A correspondent emailed that over 2,800 people (“and counting”) in Roseburg have signed a petition asking Obama not to come and grandstand on the graves of the victims. He will then go to SF to disrupt their annual Fleet Week that draws more than a million visitors. What in hell is going on?
Correction – over 5,900 people have now signed up to protest President Obama’s visit to Roseburg. This is not being picked up by the lamestream or even Fox.

So Obama is “dancing on the graves”. Don’t tell Paul Emery.
Obama could care less about “disrupting” anything. He is a community organizer (I still can’t believe he is our Prez) and that is what they do.

But Dr. Rebane, lest you forget, it was no too long ago that Obama said he represents those who did not vote in the last election. They really voted for him, so he has a mandate to talk about guns to the grieving media.
