The center for medical progress released the video of the intact complete 17 1/2 week male fetus with a clamp on the umbilical cord. Carly is absolutely right on this one. Who is ahead in every head to head matchup with Repubs right now, many of the contests by double digits? The adult in the room who is adored by Americans?
Lets stop the nonsense Todd. If Biden comes in next week, he would shortly become the front runner, and he would easily beat every Repub candidate, guaranteed, with or without Liz Warren. I am with Paul Emery.

George– in your recent column in the Union, you made the assertion that non-scientists like doctors were not capable of understanding the science of climate change. You went on to imply that your training in engineering and not climatology, however, elevated you into that class of scientists who were capable of understanding. A recent study at Purdue University interviewed 698 scientists in non-climatology disciplines and found that 94% of them believed that temperatures were rising and 92% of them agreed that “human activity is a significant contributing factor in changing mean global temperatures.” 91% of the respondents rated their belief as “extremely or very sure” while deniers were “significantly less certain” in the reliability of their beliefs. The scientific fields with the highest levels of surety and confidence in climate science were physics and chemistry. The study went on to say that “cultural values, political ideologies and personal identity” played a role in the scientists’ beliefs just as it does with the general public. In the face of the overwhelming consensus that climate change is mostly human caused, political ideology seems to play a larger role in denial beliefs than does science.

Feelings do not count in science, only the facts count. Where are your facts to support your claim that “climate change is mostly human caused. . .”? Science is about facts, religion is about feelings, and consensus is a political term.
Has all the historic climate change been caused by humans? How did climate change happen when there were no humans, or very few humans on the planet? Climate change has been taking place since the planet was created, the geological evidence is every where. How is it that only now humans are capable of changing the climate?
You really need to spend more time studying climate science and stop reading and posting lefty talking points, your credibility will soar.

I do not have a doctorate, my basic metrology training was in the Air Force as a Navigator, my physical sciences as an Electronics Warfare specialist. Understanding climate change has been a personal study quest since 1973, before it became a political football. My primary interest has been on how climate change influenced human evolution. With some numeracy skills, most intelligent people and can read and understand scientific research papers. It is unfortunate that many intelligent people are innumerate and are incapable to understanding climate change research and resort to talking points void of facts.

–Rush Limbaugh says the announcement there’s water on Mars is part of a lefty plot. He’s not sure what the plot is, but he’s pretty sure there is one.
–A poll by those leftwing wackos at The Wall Street Journal shows the Republicans have a negative image among voters, and the party is out of step with the general public on the social issues that have dominated the Republican campaign.
Specifically, 61 percent of those polled oppose eliminating federal funding for Planned Parenthood, yet the suicide caucus of House Republicans may try to shut down the government to block the funding.
And Ted Cruz wonders why big Republican donors hate the base.

You have demonstrated my point by recycling the 97% consensus talking point. You never examined the study yourself. Had you done so you would have discovered that only 65 Scientists of 12,000 that make up alleged 97% on Climate Change survey, this 65 claimed that humans only contribute 50% of the warming. Of the 12,000, 8261 of the scientist gave no position, that is 68% climate scientist took no position on climate change impact by humans.
Bottom line is the 97% “consensus” study, Cook et al. (2013) has been thoroughly refuted in scholarly peer-reviewed journals, by major news media, public policy organizations and think tanks, highly credentialed scientists and extensively in the climate blogosphere. The shoddy methodology of Cook’s study has been shown to be so fatally flawed that well-known climate scientists have publicly spoken out against it. It fact any citizen with some basic scientific skills could see the flaws in this study.
Joe, it is time for you to do your homework and stop regurgitating lefty talking points with no facts to support them.
