Ben you are describing yourself as a sociop[ath. It seems the Fab Five are the true feeling, caring people. And we pay the taxes from our hard work. If you want to hear about the “gun” George talks about then talk to Steve Frisch. He did not pay a tremendous amount of taxes and that was in 1992. He said he just paid them off. Maybe over fear of the “gun” or jail?
Really, Ben Emery, all your diatribes here are simply jealousy. We have worked hard and now you just want a handout from us. Admit it. You are a slacker and just want more freebies! Your brother is in Africa and experiencing death and destruction at the hands of those who carry your favorite style of government. How do you square that? Please tell all of the Fab Fivers here how much money you personally make or get and where from. That will level the playing field to reality.

Ah, Ben throws down the compassion card and walks away triumphant because he wins on the grounds of moral superiority. Facts do not matter.
As Brother Ben knows all to well, the main difference between a sociopath and a psychopath is the sociopath usually deals with things (like stealing and lying and ripping off stuff from the trusting) where as a pyschopath usually is differentiated by crimes dealing with people (murder, chopping off arms, killing living things).
So, Ben, I would rather be a sociopath than a pyschopath any day of the week.

re BenE 521pm – The attentive reader will note that BenE has again taken the sidestep, and totally ignored the wider provenance of the ‘government gun’ paradigm (ref my 200pm in the 5sep15 sandbox). To his limited vision it is only ‘George and the Fab Five’ (whoever they are) who originated what Greenspan wrote about years ago. To him and his, that paradigm started right here in the foothills and remains in the fevered brains of a few rightwing locals. This dear reader is the common response of the progressives to all ideas that they are unable to handle.
For the record, I reviewed the comment streams of this and the 5sep12 sandboxes. Not one of my comments were answered (or even understood?); the only responses were off the wall ad hominems or sidesteps. This mirrors exactly the national debate when one hears the responses of Josh Earnest from the WH or the team of dunces the Dept of State parades in front of their mikes.

Oh, Dr. Ben Carson would disagree with Dr. Ben Emery.
It has never been been about giving, it is all about when and how to give.. Too many bodies in the life raft will drown them all. But, Ben’s intentions are good so that is all that really matters.
I am sure Ben is fully aware that the drowning 3 year old boy that opened up the world’s heart was not a Syrian refugee. His parents were not fleeing a bloody civil war. Nope, the family were Turks, living in Turkey. Middle class by Turkey’s standards. They were leaving their country to immigrate to Canada where there is a higher standard of living. Most Syrians fleeing the head choppers go to Turkey and Jordan and Lebanon. Unfortunately, most middle class families find Turkey to be below their standards. They see Germany and Sweden as better places to live “The American Dream” .It’s about economics, Ben. More about psychopaths and compassion without brains:

George and the Fab Five (GFF) in general-
All the people before them paid for and built so future generations could have more opportunity than themselves.
GFF used all their lives and don’t want all people to have the same opportunity or access.
    Used public infrastructure
Used public schools with unionized teachers
Used public higher education and basically had tuition free college
    Use Social Security and Medicare
    Vote without burdensome hurdles.
Use or have access to all the legal rights marriage allows but oppose equality to specific citizens and my guess probably opposed interracial marriage back in the day.
Use public lands and parks for recreation
Families were immigrants at one point
Want religious freedom for themselves but not others
Support Free Trade but the immigration of brown people that follows
And support the biggest socialist program in America, USA Military and Pentagon
All of these things plus much much more are benefits GFF all used and created the ability for them to live a decent dignified life but when we cut to chase GFF wants these things for only a select few.

Your policies are a bust, and the rest of the planet’s people see what a vacuous ideology you are pushing. So please, save it for people that care about socialism/communism. But, I find something ironic or paradoxical if you will. Both Dr.Rebane and Alan Combs are in full agreement. I was at some house the other day and Alan Combs was on the radio going off (Alan never really blows a gasket but came close on this day) about the Low Information Voter. Many other Dems/Dem pundits/liberal journalists (same thing) were all bemoaning The Low Information Voter. Blaming Trump’s ever expanding and ever broadening base of support on the stupid Low Information Voter. Ah, those racially Libs are taking a page out of the conservative playbook to describe puzzling support for various politicians. Like, the voters in DC would reelect Marion Barry if he was alive today and still sitting in the clink.

As the Europeans reassess what is really happening with the Great Migration, they are one by one also becoming heartless.
Did anyone else see a report that claimed the famous drowned boy (along with brother and mother) were really Turks taking advantage of the exodus to Europe so that they could join mom’s sister in Canada to get some much needed dental work done?

Yep, Dr. Rebane, the report about the Turkish middle class family that lost their son has been out there for a several days now. The Father was interviewed and spoke freely about his intentions to catch a boat to Canada.
Boy, Europe is turning heartless. I have always promoted a good orderly direction (god) for all immigration no matter what country is involved. You cannot just simply flood an area and at the snap of one’s fingers house or find temp housing on demand. No room at the inn.
More and more, those Syrian refugees and looking like male military units that shed their uninforms. And the more interviews I read, many are not from Syria at all, just seizing the moment to blend in and head to Europe. Economic refugees if you prefer.
I am surprised that more Palestinians have not taken advantage of the Get Into Europe Free card. Heck, through centuries upon centuries, Palestein never developed any economy. Never had and never will. Like a lib, they know squat diddly about economics. Return the land to the Palestians and they will still have shit for an economy, as since the beginning of time, Take in more Palestian refugees I say. Their current refugee camps are full of weapons, which is directly against the UN rules for UN refugee encampments, but I digress.

Dr. Rebane, Seems this story changes. The boy was Syrian. His dad worked in Turkey for the last 3 years. He was told by his Canadian sister to go to Europe to have dental work done. Despite the hype, they were fleeing neither ISIS nor the Kurdish/Turkey flare ups in the region. Sad story nonetheless. Seems the only ones to come out ahead was the Turk human smuggler who abandoned the boat 6,000 richer.
Many links to choose from, including NPR. I chose this one link simply because of the last two paragraphs. I personally think that Canada would have denied asylum requests (not submitted) for the simple reason they were economic migrants rather than political or war refugees. The dad could not support his family, period. No papers filed with the Canadain government. His sister is a hairdresser, hardly the type to sponsor a family of 5. Dad took a shortcut to seize the moment. It was a bad plan and showed impatience. But, is just my opinion which really does not matter in the grand scheme of things.

BillT 1104am – I appreciate the research Mr Tozer, and I believe our other readers join me. No one yet knows the penetration of non-Syrians and Islamic terrorists (aka ragheads) into the ranks of the migrating hordes. My own druthers for our accepting any of these people are mirrored by Dr Carson who thinks they should be vetted for 1) security reasons and 2) their skills. Dr Carson believes that only those who are true refugees from death and destruction, and possess skills America needs should be admitted after due process as determined by Congress. I concur. That process worked well, as the Rebane family can attest, after the biggest human migration in history which happened after WW2.
BTW, we all (well not all) know with certainty that jihadists have joined the migration and will soon be securely ensconced in the EU with appropriate papers assuring freedom to travel. Our govt’s job is to prevent these from landing on our shores and squirreling into our society.

PaulE 333pm – Great question, and one worthy of expanded discussion. My short answer is YES. We can quibble about organization and technology and commerce etc, but the bottom line is that Islam is spreading according to the dictates of its spiritual underpinnings. We can think of it as an evil belief system spreading across the world, but they don’t. I’m sure America’s Indians came to think the same way about European Christians as they were massacred, infected, and herded onto bleak reservations, but that was after they came to enjoy the horse, the wheel, the gun, the woven blankets and clothes, the knives, mirrors, … of the white man.
Strong civilizations and cultures dominate among Man as do their analogues in ‘Nature’ (we too are nature). Such Darwinian progress has always improved the breed, and it will most likely be the force that continues doing it. None of this means that I will accept the raghead culture spawned of Islam; no, I will continue to fight it because it is inimical to me and mine. As the world turns.

We have a major microagression situation at, get this, Oberlin College.
Apparently there was an intramural soccer match scheduled at the same time as a Latin Heritage Club meeting. A White Male (uh oh) sent out an email to a Hispanic girl noting that he’d like to have her at the match, if she wasn’t going to the Latin Club meeting.
He wrote the most racist sentence since Mein Kampf:

For example Any Climatologist involved with the United nations would be disqualified because they claim the UN is a vehicle for world government for which Global Warmers are hired buglers to spread unsubstantiated alarm and fear. OF course any Climatologist affiliated with any Government agency or environmental group are disqualified but strangely those working for oil companies or resource extractors are qualified experts.

Paul, yes andedotal is in the eye of the beholder. Awhile back I was listening to this guy on some NCity local FM station. He was taking for an hour about Sandy Hook. Police evidence and ballistics proved beyond a doubt that the Sandy Hook shooter did not use the weapon allegedly found at crime scene. The classrooms and building in question was vacant, used by the school to store used school desks and furniture stacked up the walls, thus the “classroom” where the shootings occurred did not happen in the building. Then the clincher was the voice of one of the mothers interviewed was the exact same voice and face as the lady on the street interviewed after Gabby took one in the melon. She was an actress who went to government secret acting school in Arizona and a obvious plant.
The person on the air went on and one with mountains of evidence that Sandy Hook never happened. I ain’t usually a conspiracy junkie, but after listening to KVMR for that after lunch hour, I became convinced that Sandy Hook never happened as well.
So, Paul is your beef with using antidotal examples that never even happened?? Or perhaps you feel it is not fair. Mercy me, injustice reigns supreme. You should have stuck to the one about all the hot dog vendors in NYC were tipped off and skedaddled right before the planes hit the twin towers. How American is that! Saving the hot dogs from terrorists, as heard on some local FM station broadcasting world wide from the metropolises of Nevada City, California. I liked every the hot dog andedotal example of our wacko lib thinking society better than Sandy Hook, which of course never happened, duh. It’s not fair and now that makes me psi much more easily offended than you! Sue the bastard!

Why not come here and discuss things rather than being the resident critic of others? BillT is a hoot. He actually is a very good writer and has a great sense of humor. Try it sometime. Make a person laugh.

No Michael, but thanks for asking. Alcohol has not touched my rosy lips in about 25 years. No worries. I still am on the wagon and still think Carrie Nation was a pyschopath bitch. No reformed drinker speeches from Moi. And yes, I took my morning head med to prevent me from coming out of my cave with spear in hand ready to fight the enroaching saber toothed tiger.
Michael, I turned off KNCO awhile back, maybe 4 or more years. Haven’t listened to Rush in a long spell. I took the TVs to the dump and tossed the dishes from the roof. I do miss Fox News, but I heard Bob Brinkel is gone, my favorite overweight foul mouth lovable dude, so why bother. Nope, I get all my news from a local FM radio station coming at ya live from Beautiful Downtown Nirvana City. It fills the void along with reading the Police Blotter about all them Nevada City good folks calling at 3am to report that their souls or spirits have been stolen.
It is from award winning writers and researchers at the little FM station’s microphone that I received the infallible evidence that Sandy Hook never happened and the early morning of 9/11 all the hot dog vendors were yanked from the streets of The Big Apple. It was also on KVMR that I learned that “let’s roll” never happened either cause cell phones did not work on airplanes in those years before and after 9/11. I cite my sources proudly.
Libs are psychopaths, no doubt. Their policies kill the innocent. They stack people up real high in crime ridden projects where murder rates are off the charts and proudly proclaim it as The Great Society while handcuffing police efforts to make the world a safer place. They claim Black Lives Matter and cops lives don’t, the same cops that struggle to make the projects safer for the poor and vulnerable, They even claim that saying “all lives matter” is offensive. Yes, it is hard to believe your eyes what is coming out of the psychopaths’ pie holes on a daily basis. They are evil, and as I penned in my last post, Tolerance of Evil is Evil.”
Thanks Michael for your concern. Appreciate the human touch is these evil times.

I fell KVMR as well as NPR are fair, balanced and credible news organizations. KVMR is a local treasure, no doubt, unless they give that whacko George Rebane 3 minutes of airtime once a week or so. But, besides that ugly blot on their record, it’s all the truth all the time. πŸ˜†
Visual aides are soooo much easier than typing and worrying about the grammatical errors that I have no idea from whence they come from.
