Damn……Walt…..some of these things are cheaper than fairly run-o-the-mill sports cars!

Buyers can pay a few thousand for a scrapped tank that doesn’t run to more than $120,000 for a World War II Sherman tank in good condition. Restoration costs start at about $70,000 and can reach into the millions, said Lee Holland, vice president of the Military Vehicles Preservation Association.

George, June 19, 2:46pm I read your link and I question whether it seems even remotely possible that an armed citizenry could overthrow the US gov’t. If not, the whole premise for owning stockpiles of weapons seems pointless. However, I support your right to own however many guns you’d like, but I still have problems with assault weapons.
Walt, June 19 5:16 above I’ve been stating I support gun ownership rights all day, but all you hear are restrictions. I wish you were half as supportive of my rights, but you won’t even meet halfway – you want total restrictions. You are very inconsistent.

Once again.. I have NO PROBLEM (for the umteenth time) with MMJ. What part of that don’t you understand? YES it has it’s place in medicine. I know first hand the effects of said weed. ( LORD do I know..) It has NO BUSINESS being legalized for recreational use. It will just add to the the unemployment problem, among other things.
Scared of guns? It’s obvious you don’t know anything about them, except which end the bullet comes out of. Get educated. Stop relying on what someone else has told you.
It may not be the “G” man looking for trouble, but some thug looking to take what I worked for. Who knows.. it my be you next in the dead of night, or in broad daylight thinking your not home. It can happen anywhere. Yes, even here.

Walt, really, you have no problem with MMJ? So I suppose you voted for Measure S? It’s really deceitful to say you support MMJ, but vote to restrict access for patients. So many of you say one thing and do the opposite. And I note that you are fine with banning recreational marijuana. DOES THAT MEAN IT’S OK TO BAN CERTAIN GUNS?
I’m the first to admit that I know nothing about guns. Don’t want to either. But I do know that there are reasonable regulations that will make it a litle more difficult for the crazies to (legally) buy a gun while allowing people the right to purchase any gun that’s legal. Because there are so many guns in our society, it’s probably as easy to get gun on the street as it is to score marijuana. I’ve resorted to extreme examples because it seems there is nothing that you will accept that regulates guns in any way.

“S” was a piss poor measure. Especially when it came to what dopers could do with “rental property” Legalized destruction. I had a good taste of that already. You and your clan care to reimburse me for my lose? Pass the hat around to your high profit growers. 70 grand should do the trick. That’s how much I am out thanks to a so called MMJ grower.
Do you forget that provision in “S”?
At least I get educated on the subject at hand. Unlike you. So your position on gun ownership is pretty much meaningless. Based on pure emotion and fear. ( with plenty of ignorance thrown in for good measure)
I know PLENTY about weed. Probably more than you do.

I am on the record for being in favor of legalization of marijuana and support it being managed in a manner much like we currently manage alcohol. I voted against measure S, though, because I feel that ballot initiatives are a poor way to legislate and should be used only in extreme matters. My point is that there are sometimes other sides to issues than those that you choose to consider.
I heard recently that there are about 50,000 laws concerning access to guns in America and that many of them go unenforced. I would rather see enforcement or repeal of existing laws before enactment of more.

I’d be interested in why he and his little patch was targeted specifically when there are many other countless bigger, illegal grows, obviously well known in the area. Not bad Kesti.. Not bad at all. I do like the ballot process, because it dose give us peeons some chance of say on things. Prop 13 was a big one for the “little guy”.
It just pisses me off that when the people DO pass a law by ballot, some no name “friends of” drag it in front of a judge to get it dismissed. So one judge nullifies millions of votes. Just like “the people” said NO to illegals getting tax money in various forms.
Now look what Moonbat has just done. Health care for illegals.
Your dead on about the gun laws. Even the state waiting period has been found to be unconstitutional, yet the state files appeal after appeal. It’s been found that the waiting period never did it’s intended job. And background checks can be done in hours.

Don B, 6:18 Everytime Prop 215 has come before the courts, it has been upheld. It is true that the courts has also upheld the right of local entities to create their own regulations because it was not directly addressed in the initiative. Your point?
Walt, 6:51 This sure doesn’t sound like support for MMJ. Aren’t you getting dizzy from changing sides so frequently?
Scott, 7:13 Hysterical? Only when I’m laughing at your comments that always seem to miss the point. Being ignorant about types of guns is not the same as being ignorant of regulations. Most RR readers were unaware that the ACLU supported the NRA. Does that make them ignorant or uninformed? Patricia at 8:49 – “Being ignorant about types of guns is not the same as being ignorant of regulations.” Well, since many of the regulations involve certain types of guns, then yes, it is the same. If you say you are against ‘assault weapons’ being owned by citizens, then you are not on my side. I’m glad you’re honest about being ignorant on the subject, but you might find if you put down the bong and educate yourself, you’d find there’s no real reason for being against the private ownership of almost any kind of weapon.
And you may want to laugh, but I notice you just ducked answering my question. I guess laughing is all you can do when you’re stoned instead of backing up your incredibly brain dead statements.

Todd and Walt- prospective Real Estate Moguls,
I guess the other question to you manly independent type conservative capitalists, would be this-
If you really believe and understand deeply that you are so helpless in CA as a landlord,
JUST WHY IN THE HELL DID YOU PLAY LANDLORD?
If you’re such a good investor and capitalist, understanding business risks, and if landlord rights are so non existent, why in gods name would you invest and rent out your properties to tenants who possess all the rights in the state of CA? Obviously, in a free market of information about risks and opportunities, that would clearly be a REAL DUMB DECISION. So, in conclusion, you made STUPID DECISIONS. PatriciaS 533pm – Please reread the Par Force piece. Nowhere was civilian par force suggested as a prerequisite to “overthrow the US gov’t”. But possession of par force with local constabulary will allow citizens to express extreme grievances with sufficient volume and endurance that the country will hear them. What comes after that depends on the nature and extent of the grievance.
In case you don’t think that the federal government is preparing to quickly and quietly shut down the expression of such grievances, then please pay attention to the multi-state Jade Helm training exercises starting in less than a month in several states. These exercises will not be covered by the lamestream, and very possibly even by FN. More here –
