Jeeze Ben Emery why are you so negative about everything. Don’t pass that on to the young OK? I would like them to have some hope.

Congrats Dr. Rebane on having your thoughts published in The Union, a widely read newspaper serving the entire vast region known as Western Nevada County. Eastern Nevada County seceded after someone changed the name of Truckee Lake to Donner Lake and were planning a historical Donner Party reenactment bar-b-que, but I digress again. Congrats again. Will you be selling autographs or 8×10 glossies of you and George B mugging for the camera with arms around each others’ shoulders? This is a day to celebrate. Please be careful opening up the bubbly with your Samari Sword. Or, at least use a corkscrew or else you will ruin your gums. :). I got ya covered……from 1400 meters.

Speaking of bbq’s it looks like the lefty mayor of Baltimore really meant that she wanted to give the scum room to destroy. Lots of things being bbq’d as we speak. Why don’t we use water cannons to clear the streets like the European socialists? Water with dye and cayenne juice mixed in sure makes life easier for the cops.

But Don that would hurt their self esteem. We are seeing the results of “no dad” in the homes to bring some discipline to these young angry men. We have followed the leftwing agendas nos for three cycles since the 60’s and all we have to show for it is this. If the cops did this to the fellow they will be prosecuted. But these numskulls would rather burn their own homes down apparently.

Southern Baptist Church and old folks center up in smoke. That they are willing to torch their own Churches confirms that most of this is not locals. As the Bishop on TV said the targets are the targets that you would expect from anti democracy people, churches, places that provide jobs to the community, our businesses. In all this stuff recently we see the carpetbagging anarchists running to these events from across the country to riot. Interestingly this could be a boost for Omally in the Dem Prez equation. He had cleaned up Baltimore many moons ago. The abject weakness displayed at the mayors newsconf tonight was gas on the fire. Who would be afraid of that gang of pandering fools.

Some of the males being interviewed by Fox News seem to be struggling to form a single thought. Makes one wonder if they are on drugs, drunk or they were just IQ challenged.LikeLike

That fire down the way was at an intersection with two liquor stores and two other stores that were consumed. Now their remaining contents are being consumed in a fire in the street. I would fully expect the dealers will be out exploiting the chaos and energy. Ya bra, hook me up with some ……

This area is represented by Elijah Cummings, a black Congressman who has been ion the House a long time. All of Maryland I think is run by liberals. When I hear these young men interviewed it appears to me they have really been shortchanged by the lib education system there. I breaks my heart that the hardworking folks that are interviewed are tossed aside and their homes and businesses burned down by these thugs.

Liberal narrative going up in smoke in Baltimore. Eric Holder characterized the violent and lawless response of Ferguson residents as an unsurprising reaction to the “highly toxic environment” created by the Ferguson police over the years.
But, But, But in Baltimore the mayor and police chief are Black, and Whites are a minority within the police department. Yet, we are now witnessing the same kind of violence and lawlessness as in the allegedly racist Ferguson.
Who are the liberals going to blame now? They will never accept that it is the responsibility of liberal progressive leadership. So, who are they going to blame. George Bush?LikeLike

The same elected idiot in Baltimore that said she was giving space for folks to destroy just said I don’t want to exacerbate the situation and want peace. Thank you 0’s holder justice dept neutering police across the country with crazy training and bullying demands. Its all on their websites. I am sure our local Law Enforcement has not been infected. This mindset still weighs on many old-timers, and you’re right, we suffer from myopic, provincial thinking. Today Todd’s blog refers to Nevada City as the “commie capital of Nevada County.” People such as Keith Greuenberg epitomize the public safety kabal, with a pension that is a “gorilla on our back.” We’re still a generation (and bump in economic development) away from significant change. Meanwhile, the cities all around western Nevada County (Truckee, Auburn, Lincoln, etc.) are “evolving” around us.
Perhaps you might consider moving to a neighborhood more suited to your tastes. Truckee……Marin City….the Castro?LikeLike

Two liquor stores torched? Now where exactly am I going to get my checks cashed, my lotto tickets, hock my food stamps and get my Thunderbird and White Port?? Hmmmm? And don’t forget those one oz cute little airline bottles or a half dog of cheap vodka?? That is like flushing the punch bowl at a lib party and then hearing the deafening silence of the oppps moment. So, geniuses, where are you going to get your 40 oz bottles of Colt 45s, your pack of squares or even a bar of Irish Spring? Next time burn down some Thai restaurant of a Mickey Dees but leave the corner markets alone. Now where are we going to find a good street hang out place and hear all the latest local gossip? Youth is indeed wasted on the young.

Speaking of conspiracy theories (well, it’s just me speaking of conspiracy theories)…er…oh yeah, conspiracy theories, the Clinton’s are blaming the Boston Globe and The New York Times hit pieces on her quid pro quo slush funds as a bunch of conspiracies made up by Republican operatives. Yes, all these nasty stories about “The Foundation” from the far right media like The Washington Times, Rutgers, USA Today is part of the Great Right Wing Conspiracy.
Like, anyone can forget to account for or declare 100 million smackers in grants to “The Foundation”, right? Just little mistakes but them hideous Republican operatives are trying to make it political. Being Secretary of State with her thick resume of notable accomplishments is quite rewarding to Hillary Rodham. It is the Vast Right Wing Conspiracy up to its devious mischief again. Mystery solved.

I wholeheartedly agree with Mr. Boardman. Things have changed. In the good old days, a rioter would turn looter and make off with shopping carts of stereos and Air Jordan’s. But, folks are more pragmatic now since the “Greed is Good” days. Now they are looting for a bigger purpose than unbridled wanton lust of material possessions. Saw a pic of a young man walking away with arm loads of stolen condoms. Safe sex is the responsible way to do things and, of course, I bet he was thinking of others. You may say the rioters have lowered their standards, but I would have to object. They have raised the bar for the common good. Warms the cockles of me weary heart.

You guys sure have all the answers for the plight of poverty stricken urban America. Sorry to burst your bubbles, but the fatherless family dynamic in the American urban black community started decades before FDR, or any concept of modern progressive policy. A class in black history would be a good start for you guys. Its real convenient to make this a political issue, but its far from a political issue.

Say what? Jeeze man/woman, the black family was in better shape than the white family until just after the passage of the Civil Rights Act and the advent of your buddy LBJ’s Great Society. You see, you people cannot make up your own facts and history. When the left said a black woman (or any other color) no longer needs a man in the house and you get money for each youngin, the explosion of family began in earnest. So Jon, get your act together and when you learn some true history, get back to the thread.LikeLike

“jon”…. The good ol’ Democrat has done a fine job of keeping Blacks on the proverbial plantation. ” We know what’s best for you” Ever since the end of the civil war, the Democrats have done everything they can to retain them. lord help the Minority that see’s the Republican way, and has bettered ones self. ( unless he/she is an elected Democrat)
Every Black that sides with the Right has been branded an ” Uncle Tom” by the LIBS.
funny how the Left preaches “equality”, yet demands special treatment just because of skin color. ( affirmative action ) LIBS now feel reverse discrimination is just fine.LikeLike
-
“Jon” needs to read the Moynihan Report. When Daniel Patrick sounded the alarm in 1965, absentee fathers in black familes was 25% and climbing. The meteoric rise in absentee black fathers began in the early 60’s and lest anyone think this is a black phenomenon only, white babydaddies started their climb at the same time.
This is also of interest:”Back in 1899, in Washington, D. C., there were four academic public high schools– one black and three white.1 In standardized tests given that year, students in the black high school averaged higher test scores than students in two of the three white high schools. This was not a fluke. It so happens that I have followed 85 years of the history of this black high school– from 1870 to 1955 –and found it repeatedly equalling or exceeding national norms on standardized tests.”
http://www.tsowell.com/speducat.html
We also have a basic problem in public education… they tend to treat great schools in poor minority neighborhoods as flukes and make no real effort to replicate the methods and attitudes of those great schools.LikeLike
-
Wonder how many ‘black friends’ ‘jon’ has? What black history class did you take ‘jon’? How much work have you done in real inner cities with actual black people? How many meals did you share with black people you actually knew in the last year? Your world view is extremely at odds with the facts. But we are used to that from you.

Boy, it there ever was more of a cheerleader/advocate for socialism and progressive thought, I have not heard it in awhile. Sure, I hear the same sentiments on a daily basis when Brother Jon Benjamin shows up, but this message is clear: No opting out. Indivual choices are bad for the common good. Think of the poor children who cannot afford to make choices. We must all go to their level and stay there. The door swings one way. Yes we can, Yes we can.
