[Well, the weather outside is frightening … .  Since the trees have leafed, we are going outside periodically to knock the snow off those bent over branches of the 'specimen trees' we can reach.

And the local dust devil getting people roiled around Nevada County today is the question 'Was Terry Lamphier set up?' for the child porn allegations that he is facing.  Oh, the things that concern us in this hamlet as the state fights a politically amplified drought, the country prepares to adopt another 11 million illegal aliens into a still faltering economy and disintegrating culture, and the west refuses to acknowledge, let alone confront, radical Islam.]

After reading the AP article on the fake gang rape in the Union this morning, I am amazed the author and the press can ever be called “journalists” again. The people the fake article tried to ruin are apparently not the victims of the lie. It is the liar! Jeeze!

I agree George. That’s why I was so offended by the slimer Breitbart when he edited video segments out of context in the Shirley Sherrod story
“Andrew Breitbart made a mistake. Based on a two-minute video excerpt of Shirley Sherrod’s speech at an NAACP dinner last year, he accused her of practicing racism as a federal employee. He neglected to mention that in the excerpt, she was clearly talking about events in a different job 20 years ago. And when the rest of the video turned up, it proved that her story was about transcending her old racial resentment.”

Gee Paul maybe you were right about the TPP.

How TPP Will Function in Practice?
If this damn thing passes as is, TPP will create an “unaccountable supranational court for multinationals to sue states”, precisely what one might expect after five years of secret backroom deals led by Obama.
    Here’s how it will work.
Obama crammed down a bunch of global warming regulations. To get companies to go along, Obama concocted a supranational tribunal court that would allow every company to sue for lost revenue due to those regulations.
Taxpayers will lose three ways: first on needless regulations, second on corporate handouts to pay for grievances, third for having to pony up for the creation of the new supranational court.
I can smell boondoggles, and this one is massive.

Regarding “journalism”. Paul Emery never seems to slam his brethren on the left but always brings up Breibart. We on the right think any tampering with the truth by anyone is bad and should be punished. Paul Emery and his buds on the left think only a “righty” should be punished. That is why I could care less when he uses Breitbart. Besides, I have had to listen for fifty years all the liberal BS in my news while old Brietbart has been around what? Ten years? And guess who taught him (of course he has died), the liberal Professors!
I don’t read Breitbart but his work in exposing the ACORN corruption was simply glorious!

Administrivia – how long will we refuse to acknowledge that ‘medium’ is the singular of its plural ‘media’?
While on this soapbox, I might add that today’s improper use of the pronoun ‘I’ in compound predicates is now endemic – ‘Susie told Sam and I about the concert.’ To determine whether properly to use ‘I’ or ‘me’, just get rid of the other person (here ‘… Sam and …’). Then ask if ‘Susie told I about the concert.’ doesn’t frost your external plumbing.
We’ll cover the use of the apostrophe in singular and plural possessives in the next edition 😉

With all the challenges we face, why not take a couple of days to act in horror over what some 18 year old college drunken frat boy uttered about Negros. Better yet, let’s spend a week gabbing about the hypothetical question of should a pizza joint cater to a gay wedding. My main question on the latter earth shaking development is whether the pizza pies should be chicken garlic, artichoke vegetarian, or tried and true pepperoni? Oh, we live in a complex society.
As for the question of Former Grass Valley Councilman/Former County Supervisor being set up, I think more important questions would be “Did he get caught” and “what did he see and does he know that he saw it?”
Rolling Stone Magazine is another holy grail of the Left. They will face zero fallout. Next up: the Bonnza Market is still selling non-local Gator and Roo jerky. Not why some moved here. Update at 11.

Neither “Andrew” nor “BB” occur in the URL that you provided. There is no BB.com (nor, http://www.BB.com). I can find no occasion of the organization that continues to use the Breitbart name using “BB” in reference to itself. The article that your reference was written by Ben Shapiro, so there is no “BB” there. It seems that your use of “BB” is as arbitrary as your punctuation.
Shapiro’s article is fine but he does commit one logical fault. After pointing out that Governor Brown’s plan to save 490 billion gallons of water is insignificant compared to the 11 trillion gallon shortfall that results from the drought he goes to great length to belittle the EPA and the state for using 150 billion gallons in their efforts to support the Delta Smelt. If 490 billion gallons “barely touches” the problem then it seems that 150 billion gallons might not touch it at all.
Gee, that medicine didn’t taste so bad.

Obama said, and I quote, “If Iran cheats, the world will know.” Wow. We already know. Think our President has a big soft spot for Iran. Didn’t the woman behind the curtain (the lovely Valerie Jarred) once live in Iran?? She might be the one whispering softly in his ear that Shitte Iran good, Israel and Sunnis bad. Just speculation on my part. Pitting Suadia Arabia and is new coalilition of those that cannot take America at its word or trust Obama against Iran might be a good strategy. We provide air over for Iranian troops in Iraq and leave Iran’s proxy Syria alone. Chalk one up for Putin and two up for Iran.
Never could figure out the woody Obama has for the “moderate Muslim Brotherhood” and why we backed them against Egypt’s President. Maybe because my Pappy and Grandpappy did not teach me about the marvelous virtues of Da Brohood. Didn’t work out so good for Da Obama backed Brohood in Cairo and now Egypt is turning to Putin for aid and trade. Looks like we lost another ally in the Mid East. Our operations in Yemen complete with Obama’s victory lap did not stabilize that country either. Oppps, Yemen is a proxy state of Iran. I see the big picture now. It’s Iran versus our former allies as we lead from behind. Obama diplomacy makes strange bedfellows.

The unions, like the Devil, promised to sell peace now and get paid for it later. The scumbags like such deals because they get the political benefits immediately, and are nowhere to be found when the bill comes due. And the kicker is that the current scumbags can claim innocence since the agreements didn’t happen on their watch. Such a deal for the taxpayer.

Think the Israeli’s don’t know all the sites? President has repeatedly made the point that its better to know whats going on than not know whats going on? Re Dr. R at 11:25 a.m.:
For a man who believes little the government says, you are quick to accept the assurances of police that they’re justified every time they pull the trigger.
The Charleston shooting was beginning to sound like every other one of these cases: The cop feared for his life, what appeared to be a weapon was found at the victim’s side, the cop followed proper procedure.
Then the video surfaced, and this all turned out to be a lie.
This is somewhat analogous to the death penalty, where we were assured for decades that extreme care was taken to make sure innocent people weren’t executed. Then DNA came along and we discovered all kinds of innocent people on death row.
Do I believe most police shootings are justified? Yes. Do I think some are criminal acts that are covered up? Yes.
If you are going to be skeptical of what officials tell you, at least be consistent.
