[Am happy to see how RR readers use the sandboxes and how quickly they fill up with topics and tete a tetes that are beyond my meager abilities to cover and coherently comment on. As an amusing aside, received an email about our celebrated cartoonist RL Crabb who for years has apparently been delinquent in not recognizing and thanking a generous and kind benefactor who 'saved his bacon' at the Union. Shame on you Bob.]

Paul Emery Will Not be Happy About this:
In the final mid terms count, 21 of 23 of the Republican Candidates endorsed by Former Governor Sarah Palin won their seat. Hillary Clinton endorsed 24 Democratic Candidates, and 14 lost. Palin’s success 91% . Hillary’s success 42%.
The American Thinker is promoting Palin as American Achiever of 2014: Sarah Palin. More details HERE.LikeLike

Lefty Jeffy posted this today in liberal lament land. Nevada city chamber names leaders for 2015 “Paul Sieving of MCleod Sierra Realty was elected as the 2015 President of the Nevada city chamber of commerce. Dave Iorns owner Nevada City Crystal & glass was elected as the chambers president-elect and Gary Tintle of Tintle, inc was elected as treasure” Wow did the chamber really need 2 presidents and why not a vp? Will the union post a screen shot on their website and crow about their editing prowess and tell us how perfect they are? Naw, they are too classy for that. 🙂

The American thinker article to which you provided a link, Russ, claims that Palin was 20 for 22 and Clinton 8 for 24 rather than 21 for 23 and 14 for 24, respectively.
If Clinton was 14 for 24 her “success” (I find this to be no more a measure of success than is voting for winning candidates.) would have been 58%.
Perhaps more significant is why you chose to call out Paul Emery in this way. I don’t recall that he has ever supported Clinton. He has, instead, stated that he eschews major party candidates and supports those of other parties and independents.LikeLike

Well Russ if Sarah Palin is your cup of tea as an intellectual you have a lot to cheer about.

re PaulE 122pm – The denigration of Republican intellects seems to be a perennial favorite game of the anti-Republicans. We can go back to Ford who was supposed to be a know-nothing, followed by Reagan, and of course Bush2. Then throw in some candidates like Palin and Cruz, and you can really yuck it up with some really good knee-slappin’ one liners. Of course, there is no shame in the accomplishments and acumen of great Democratic intellects like Jimmy Carter, Hillary and Sweet Willie, ol’ Harry and Nancy, our own Barbie Boxer and Maxine Waters, and the Big Brain himself, Barack Hussein. (And I forget the name of the Democratic congressman who thought a Pacific island would tip over and sink if we loaded too much stuff on it.) Now that’s what I call a slam dunk case for the Left.

Well George it appears likely we will have another Bush-Clinton in the White house in ’16. Assuming either get elected in ’20 that will mean from ’88 till ’24 , 36 years, we will have either a Clinton or a Bush in the white house with the exception of 8 years with Obama. That’s evidence enough of either a deeply flawed election system or really dumb voters. Really, is that the best we can do?

Really Russ what has Sarah Palin done since she bailed on her job after 2 years as Gov of Alaska other than be a failed media celebrity at fox news and be a, inspirational speaker at Tea Party gatherings. Would you hire her to run your business?

Sarah Palin? I think she has a pretty good track record of supporting winners at many levels of elected office. Also, she has a organization that is great at groundwork for candidates and raising money. Plus she speaks her piece all over the country and has influence in many policies and ideas. Perhaps the fact she has a few million people who follow her and agree with her ideas as well. I would say she has done a huge amount of good things for America. How about you?

I made no claim concerning Palin’s experience running a business but instead answered your question, “Would you hire her to run your business?” None the less, it is no stretch to consider a state’s governor as the CEO of that state. I find that Palin’s governorship of Alaska indicates she has the imagination, savvy, and courage required to successfully be the chief executive of a business as well as of a state and the country, too.LikeLike

Everyone,
A very interesting and educating interview about native peoples and the absolute violation of their liberty, land, and freedom.

Oppression, repression, and suppression are baked into legislation, which in turn is used by SCOTUS as justification for the abuse.LikeLike

Well now. Sara and family have done well in their fishing business. (just for starters.)
They sure don’t live in a dump. Nice digs no matter how you slice it. They didn’t get there by being welfare leaches.
Maybe Paul may care to revisit just why she stepped down as GOV. ( Not doing the homework for you). There will be a test Paul..( I already know the answer..Do you?)
A full and complete, unrevised answer will only be accepted Paul..
She scares the living daylights out of LIBS… That’s for sure.LikeLike

Paul Emery,
Sarah has her own Internet TV Channel:
https://sarahpalinchannel.com
Had a TV Show on TLC, Sarah Pailin’s Alasks. Panned by the left, as it showed Palin as a real person with Christian ideals. At the end of season she had 3 million audience, this is more than most CNN or MSNBC shows by several factors.
http://www.tlc.com/tv-shows/sarah-palins-alaska
If I needed a marketing person, I would hire Sarah.LikeLike
-
Walt
Of course you must comprehend that she stepped down because she could make the big bucks as a media celebrity. You better believe she gets a cut of the action as a fundraiser when they do the “Evening with Sarah” rubber chicken banquets. She was a quitter in Alaska. In her own words:
” I feel it is my duty to avoid the unproductive, typical, politics-as-usual, lame-duck session in one’s last year in office,” Palin said, just moments before Lt. Gov. Sean Parnell was sworn in as governor.”

I swear…it’s simply impossible to please some people!LikeLike

Hey, if I was the bubba I would like the parody.
Fish, it is amazing to me that the libs like Paul Emery etal never criticize the left, only the right as you have pointed out about the silverware. To me, they are so transparent about their allegiances they have lost their credibility in political discussions.
Happy New Year!LikeLike

Sarah Palin is a narrow minded, knowledge handicapped, and hypocrite that abused her powers as governor and absolutely embarrassed John McCain Presidential Campaign. That is what happens when the vetting process isn’t taken seriously. She is an opportunist who is out for herself and nothing else.

Michael,
You have to forgive Todd, he is on the same page as a Sarah Palin. Intellectually lazy and has very little to offer to a constructive dialogue.
Actually, I am a proud feminist who advocates and fights for gender equality in all areas of society. Sarah Palin was not and is still not qualified to hold a high office in our federal government. Not because she isn’t capable but rather because she is an ideologue who doesn’t care to investigate other points of view.
I would love to see Elizabeth Warren rise up in our federal government keeping the financial sector under control. I am also horrified to think Hillary Clinton might be our next President.LikeLike

Poor Lefties.. Bitch, whine, call Sara a “quitter”, ( when she did so because of frivolous lawsuits by angry LIBS ,, Paul missed this all important one) Yet cheer Hildabeast who tucked tail and ran when the heat was on. And now wants the job of Pres.??
She resigned to get out of the heat, and to avoid anymore testimony.
Now Izzy Warren rears her ugly lying head. Yup,, claiming to be an American Indian to gain favor is Presidential material. Maybe Paul can find her Indian heritage, when even the Indians won’t claim her.
BTW,, Sara is three times the man Paul will ever be.LikeLike
-
Walt
So what you are saying is that Sarah P. resigned because she couldn’t take the heat. Great traits to be a President, which she would have been a heartbeat away had McCain been elected.LikeLike
-
Paul Emery 31Dec14 10:22 AM
No, Paul, Walt didn’t say that. You did.
Another way to view Palin’s resignation is that she recognized that her ability to govern had been completely undermined and that it was better for her state to step down. I understand that you will find this view, um, distasteful, but our country might be better off if more of its politicians could be as honest.
One of the things I like about Palin is that years after her active political career she is still feared by non-conservatives. I imagine that such fear will be denied but she would be easy to ignore if she wasn’t perceived as a threat.LikeLike
-
Ya’ beat me to it Michael.. I just didn’t check back soon enough. I was going to slam him on the selective editing of that fact. Like I said..” the important part he left out”,, yet changed to fit his needs.
The people LOVED Sara. (and still do) John was pissed they like her more than him, and was even MORE Presidential material than he was. The people were actually wanted to vote for her, and hoped John would drop dead the day after the election.
What’s wrong Paul, have issues with a woman Pres.? ( with a set of balls no LIB possesses.)LikeLike

More revisionism Paul? Tisk tisk….
“Palin announced she was resigning her office due to the costs and distractions of battling ethics investigations describing the “insane” amount of time and money that both she and the state of Alaska had expended responding to “opposition research”, 150 FOIA requests and 15 “frivolous” legal ethics complaints filed by “political operatives” against her.”
And won every court battle.
“in order to respond to the ethics complaints, staffers from multiple state agencies were diverted from their normal duties and state attorneys were pulled off their case loads resulting in “lost value to the state”, and “hundreds of thousands of dollars” spent on outside legal counsel and equipment.[9] In addition to responding to the ethics complaints, the state attorneys had to review the public record requests including the 238 filed during Palin’s administration and 189 after she was named John McCain’s running mate.[9]”
Yes, Paul,, she did so for the good of the state. Something a LIB would NEVER do. I give you Jerry Brown who is out to finish off Ca. ( With the drugged city LIBS help)LikeLike

The correct possessive form of a proper name includes an apostrophe and I am short a rat’s ass to give concerning a proven hypocrite’s opinion of that.LikeLike
