[Everybody hear the latest about Moonbeam convening a new water resources conference so that "California can again take the lead" as it has in matters of protecting the environment, climate change, and green energy – disasters all? My (no brainer) prediction is that the state will attempt to regulate and ration ALL well water so as to create further difficulties in trying to live outside of stack & pack communities. It's all for our own good. Can everyone spell 'Agenda21'? gjr]

Now that I’ve outed him, I need to call “fish” (AKA David Larsen of Carmichael) and confirm whether he’s one of those paid political commentators. The California Fair Practices Commission requires disclosure now. Little else could explain such vigilance from an out-of-town resident on the local hard right blogs. Remember John Stoos?
Nope! Just a free-lance asshole who doesn’t like you one little bit! And I have a very long memory fat boy!LikeLike

Regarding the hard left’s continuing battle with the First Amendment, the fight is heating up again with Wisconsin’s latest court ruling that pushed back socialism’s attempt to keep like-minded people from pooling ideas and resources to make their case during elections. The Democrat’s assault on issues advocacy is beyond cynical in a republican democracy, and gives a foretaste of their fundamentally transformed Amerika. More was said about that here –

And LIBS say there is no voter fraud. Seems they even figured out how to do it semi “legally”(?)
Maybe this is how Dirty Harry rigged the ballot box.
In another story I found where an electronic voting machine was casting votes for LIBS when the Repub. was the intended vote.
LIBS are drooling at the thought of on line voting.. OH the monkey business they could do with that.

Isn’t this interesting reading how the little monkey like to throw poop at each other, especially when they don’t even reside in this county, yet they still need to feel relevant.
Then we have someone who’s been thrown from every level headed blog in the county (except this one), so how does that work George?
Then we have everyone adding their $.01 in on why they are right, yet they seem to be truly representative of what’s wrong in America in several categories including education, as well as problems in this county.

Mr. Fish, breaking up is hard to do. Apparently Will Rogers never met BubbaBubba.
Dr. Rebane, had an interesting exchange last night with an Eastern Washington resident. Concerning the State of Jefferson, The east side gets screwed by the populated Western Washington and off and on for years talk comes up a new state of E Washington, North Idaho, and W Montana. Called the State of Lincoln. Impetus this time was when they tore down the old Seahawks Stadium, the Eastern part of the state was taxed as well for the construction of Seattle’s new stadium cause “they would use it.” Like people in the far eastern part of WA would make the 700 mile round trip to see a Sunday football game.
Concerning well water meters, the western part is already doing it. Her sis lives in a small private community. They paid to dig a well, paid to maintain it, paid for the permits, then paid 880 clams to have a meter installed, and now they have to pay for the water cause “it isn’t theirs”. She blamed all the libs from California moving up there and changing everything, driving up the real estate prices so locals are out priced out, then started taking over city councils, and ban this and that and change everything.
Told her if she liked her Liberal Californians, she can keep her Californicators. Told her if we ever do get a State of Jefferson, don’t tell them liberal Californians that moved up north and now 5 there are 5 on her country road. It’s her problem now. Do not return to sender.LikeLike

BillT 401pm – sad tales indeed Mr Tozer. But that is the fundamental tenet of socialism, the state (under the guise of the ‘peehpul’) owns everything for the common good – and that includes your sorry carcass and everything concerning it. When all is said and done, you don’t own shit because there is nothing that you can dispose of as you will. (Pardon my French)

The closer to election time, the worse it looks for LIBS. The key question they are all ducking. ” Did you vote for “O” and/or back his policies?” That’s a question most are refusing to answer! Hummm Think the voters buy that duck and cover? Now the question dodgers are getting laughed at.. ” You want MY vote?? Good luck with that LOL!!
” Better elect me, or “O” will get impeached!!” And some Dems are saying ,, ” we hope he does!” You can’t make this up.. Even the LIB show ” Morning Joe” said they should have backed Romney.
Yet Downer Debby still claims that ” Dems will retain the Senate”.. Did she make a trip through Nev. Co. and sample the MJ?

Thank you for you thoughtful contributions to the dialogue, Mr. Smith. A fine example of proving my point that the best part of you ran down your Momma’s leg.
Yo, Walt, they are getting more unhinged by the day. They call this silly season, but the libs are taking it to a whole new level. What is the step above unglued? The term escapes me now. Hope the Dems remember to have someone tie the string on the back of their gowns while they are doing the lithium shuttle down the hall to craft time. Boy, if someone could grow some bud that tasted like Prozac, it would be a blue state hit.
Think reality is beginning to seep into the psychics of our dear brethren across the aisle and it is not pleasant to watch. First the predominately black audience in bluest of blue Maryland walks out on Big O, then that fine Texas candidate tells her loyal lapdogs that the Republicans are going to take away her god given right to buy dildos. I think DNC chairperson and fine representative from the Great State of Florida Downer Debbie should help her Texas sister out by Fed Expressing her some fine Cuban rolled Democrat dildos, slightly used of course. Can’t hurt and may even help during this current session of silly season.LikeLike

The idea that the Democrats are turning against Obama is misleading. He’s just the scapegoat that accomplished what they all support. Going through the news outlets and seeing what’s going on (or not) ,,, The DEM Donkey “mascot” is headed for the dog food factory come election day. Those looking to keep their office, and those seeking office on the DEM side, refuse to even say if they voted for “O”,
let alone back any of the DEM legislation that has been shoved down the throats of Americans. Someone brings up Obummercare, and that question gets dodged. Amnesty for illegals? Nope,, they won’t go there either.
Seems LIBS want the job, but won’t publicly support anything LIB! like gun control. LIBS are now running pro gun ads to save face. ” See? I like guns too!”
Uh,, when does the F&F records come out? ( Recall that executive privilege to save Holder’s hide?)
BTW… Didn’t one of “our Mikes” soundly predict in no uncertain terms that Dems would retain control of the Senate? Now is the time to bet the farm on that. ( I get the idea that’s just not going to happen now.)

After all, if the media would have fanned the flames while evidence was being examined to determine the truth, large scale riots could have broken out, resulting in unwarranted property damage inflicted upon innocent citizens. But alas, even illegal property damage could be justified and encouraged by the leftwing media, so long as the message is liberal in nature and fits in to the central agenda.
http://www.rollingstone.com/politics/news/smashy-smashy-nine-historical-triumphs-to-make-you-rethink-property-destruction-20141021
I normally enjoy the investigative journalism of Rolling Stone (especially their former writer Matt Taibbi), but they were way off in their support of property damage crimes committed by the carpetbaggers and opportunistic vagabonds. But as long as the powers that be remain confident in their ability to correctly tell citizens how to think and live their lives, there’s no limit to the end justifying the means.LikeLike

KeenO 116pm – thanks for that update and the links. It never ceases to amaze how the lamestream omits the relevant factors of the case when reporting a politically incorrect shooting that displayed obvious evidence that the perp was exactly the kind of individual to have done what the police reported, and then to continue such reports while solicited riots were in progress and the case still under investigation. Whaddya think of the chances that the ‘black leadership’ who rushed in to fan the flames will now make public apologies?

George,
I wouldn’t bet the farm on an apology. The MO for political/public leaders of all stripes is to ignore personal falsehoods and move on to fanning other developing flames. Rest assured, this is where the money can be found.
Case in point, if scientists could convince the government that eating dog feces would help stave off global climate change, Frisch would be first in line to secure grant money to foist this newly discovered knowledge upon the public. Steven, our only comfort is knowing that the grant money you siphon from the taxpayer will be reinvested into the pharmaceutical industry (a capitalistic favorite foe of yours and other socialists) in the future, through some form of cholesterol lowering drug.
But alas, how could us uneducated common folk survive without the inefficient and expensive oversight of NGOs. Someday when Uncle Sam has difficulty qualifying for a prepaid American Express card, we will see how much your services are valued when your grant lifeline is one of the first to meet the chopping block.LikeLike

What is it they say about those that can’t make it in the competitive world? They end up teaching? Well Frisch was a flop, a tax scofflaw of his employees taxes and his restaurant ended up with so many liens from the Feds, State and local that I am surprised he remained free. Anyway, his refuge became the NGO world where you don’t have to compete and the accountability is almost nil, especially for liberal NGO’s. He has never fessed up on who paid for his trip to China. But he sure has an opinion on it all! Too funny!

I call the Doug LaMalfa bet and raise one Dirty Harry on years of insider trading.
Pretty much the richest Sen. on the hill. And on a meager Senator’s salary.
There is more news of two faced LIBS. They preach huge minimum wadge increases yet in their own family businesses don’t pay what they now demand of others. ( or not at all..”interns”… Really??) But it makes good whoring for votes.
If America is so damned “racist”,, just how did “O” get elected? Maybe Steve might want to crack open a history book. Forget it was the good ol’ Southern Democrat that wanted to keep slavery? Lincoln was a Republican. The KKK still is a Democrat ORG. No amount of revisionism is going to change that. Yet the likes of Steve want to paint Conservatives as anti minority.
Funny how the Left is the ones that want to keep minorities on the dole and under educated. ” we know what’s best for you”. Any minority that subscribes to Conservatism is branded an ” Uncial Tom”, or worse.
Right now in the South, they are running ads claiming Repub. candidates are pro lynching
and will return Blacks to slavery. LIBS don’t care about truth.

So George all LaMalfa has to do is turn down the government subsidies and make it on his own in the free marketplace you believe in. If he doesn’t that means one of two things to me. First he cannot compete without government subsidies or he chooses to be in the business he’s in because of those subsidies that have been continuos since Roosevelts New Deal when they were introduced. It seems to me if he were a true conservative, as you define one to be , he would have principals that would preclude him from gorging on taxpayer subsidies that are a part of such a collectivist concept as the New Deal.

PaulE 238pm – Thanks for bringing the topic to the sandbox. I’ll start by repeating a part of my previous response to you under another post.
First, LaMalfa has never gotten a “free pass” from me when he supports the continuation of ag subsidies. This is a matter of record on these pages and in our conversations – you are most free to ask him directly about this. So let’s cut this misrepresentation (aka crap) of what my position is on such subsidies. For the understanding reader I have written much about how special interests on all sides game the government to subsidize their enterprises and inhibit competition to established businesses.
One more time – the topic of the post it the ideological schism between the Left and Right for which there appears to be no middle ground. Contribute to that topic if you can.
Your last statement is patently false, for it presupposes that the LaMalfa family is unique in its inability to grow rice seeds for a profit if existing subsidies were denied to all rice farmers. You have no basis for making that charge, save you are holding back some special information you have on the economics of rice farming in America. Along with other ag interests in the country, the LaMalfas have legally taken advantage of the misdirected largesse that the feds dispense. Yet LaMalfa is on record for opposing the continuation of such subsidies (especially in direct payments).
Is there a reason you seem to forget the several times we have discussed that no receiver of subsidies in a sector can unilaterally give them up without endangering or sinking his business? (Also review Hardin’s ‘Tragedy of the Commons’.) Why circle that barn again?
And you remake your recent claim about the LaMalfa’s inability to compete with other off-subsidy rice farmers; again, where’s your evidence for that? And I have never defined a “true conservative” as you characterize them. Don’t know many true conservatives who are recipients of government subsidies. As we know, subsidies are an addictive drug, and marketed the same way as a reader has pointed out – the first doses are free, and then it’s hard to turn back because you can’t afford to be the principled first man out. That is the way that big government grows and controls, which unfortunately has been abetted by politicians, business people, and activists of mostly the Left, but also of the Right.
So here’s a plan. Why don’t we get some constituency like the Hollywood movie guys to renounce their newly minted subsidies, and then that maybe will get the ball rolling with the more long-term entrenched people like the agri-businesses? Enough principles there to be exercised by everyone.LikeLike
-
George
I am not proposing a grand and sweeping ideological landscape such as what you describe. I do however observe that greed and opportunity seem to trump principals in most situations and I’m using LaMalfa as an example and question why you accept his conservative credentials with such an egregious scar in his resume.LikeLike

“So George all LaMalfa has to do is turn down the government subsidies and make it on his own in the free marketplace you believe in.”
That’s asinine, Paul. There is no free market in many agricultural commodities, and were LaMalfa Farms to unilaterally in a grand and self-destructive affirmation of his principles (assuming he really does have a free market bone or two in his body) all it would do is lead to his, and his families, financial ruin.
This is just pure political posturing, and I’d expect better from a local radio station news director were I not familiar with the station’s politics.LikeLike

You seem to be right in the “Sweet Spot” Paul…..both Greg and Steve are reading you the riot act! This must be how nirvana feels!

Recall all the solar crap? Big handouts then go belly up to the tune of billions?
Make sure your own house is clean before you point fingers and bitch…Paul,,,.
There is a laundry list of LIBS doing exactly what you complain about, yet you conviviality
