   You guys crack me up. Todd, if you followed this piece you would have seen my relentless attribution of the farm subsidies program to FDR. that was the key irony of my effort. Republican “conservative” slurps up FDR farm bucks.
   George, I don’t know what to say. I was only following your lead on this.

   Now Paul contends that the La Malfa family business is failing. Is that another of the ONE thing that you were saying? Aside from all the other ONE things you were saying.
   You actually claim all sorts of things. How about the Hall family getting 4 mil?
   You contend that we conservatives would be ‘all over it’. You are now bringing up a hypothetical without any sort of back story, context or frame work. Whether or not we would call her out for the 4 million in taxpayer subsidies would depend on why they were received, what her position is on others getting the subsidies, how she planned to vote on further subsidies if elected, if she berated others for getting the same subsidies and so forth. We conservatives operate on a bit more information than you do, Paul.
   Please do keep going – Don Quixote has nothing on you. Your next windmill awaits, sire.

   This just in – the La Malfa family ships rice to market on public roads!
   And they use the telephone system to communicate to others for their cartel operations.
   That phone system is overseen by the Federal Govt! It’s obvious Paul has uncovered a real scoop here about this nefarious La Malfa family. They’re bleeding COMMIES!

   Hall just lost half the votes in Nevada county. She isn’t hip to MJ.
   She may lose even more because she seems pro gun control, and there is many a Dem that likes their guns as much as Repubs.
   But LIBS will vote for a person that has no experience, except for a collage degree.

    Mr. Gregory has a point. A certain poster has gone from referencing that sick Man-Boy group (NAMBA?) to his/her fixation on 13 year old girls. Makes me want to vomit. At least the perv is a switch hitter when it comes to kids. Heard he/she has a bumper sticker that reads “I brake for school zones”. He/she has gone want beyond the tipping point.     fish 924am – I think there would be a lot of interest in ending that and other ‘cartels’ (hmmm, that name may stick). Now that would be a good project for the country’s tea parties. The politicians will respond to a broad coalition of voters, and maybe enough would sign on to a bill that would start dismantling such cartels one-by-one. The Dems have made the Farm Bill a difficult place to start since in reality 80-85% of its funding is really food stamps. Anyone wanting to pull that law (now starting a new five run) will be accused of taking food from the mouths of babes and the poor.

    I agree George with your appraisal of the situation….my comment was directed at Paul because I’m trying to get him to pick a position. Either these subsidies are good…. including those received by LaMalfa or that they are bad across the board.

    I would be interest in knowing if Paul is against all subsidies, like the subsidies that KVMR gets from the Corporation for Public Broadcasting, the not-for-profit steward of the federal government’s investment in public media, or just LaMalfa rice growing subsidies?
    From the KVMR web site:
    Luckily, KVMR is not totally dependent on CPB funding. We were awarded $110,000 in CPB funds this year.
    Which is is Paul all subsidies, or jut those that LaMalfa family gets for growing rice?
