I’m told that in the desire to denigrate, the claptrap from the local Left has again confused the issue of upcoming candidate forums sponsored by the NC Tea Party.  Here is the information on the series of candidate forums that will take place at 6:30PM in Ponderosa Hall at the Nevada County Fairgrounds.

•    26 February – General meeting of the NCTP, with all five supervisorial candidates for Districts 3 & 4 attending and scheduled to speak;
•    26 March – Judgeships candidates’ forum;
•    23 April – Forum for all unopposed candidates and District Attorney candidates.  

Unopposed candidate for judge, Linda Sloven, has said she will attend the 23apr14 forum but will not participate, citing "judicial canons of ethics (that) restrict me so greatly from commenting on issues that may come before the court."  She has similarly declined to participate in the League of Women Voters forum.

Also, on 3 March 2014 the NCTP will sponsor a talk by Pastor Rafael Cruz (father of Senator Ted) on the current tack that conservative Republicans are taking in Congress that is causing a furor among the Republican leadership, and a source of unbounded glee among the Democrats.  I will be expanding on this in a separate post.
