   I see a pattern going on as I am sure many others do regarding the illegal alien issues. Now we see the AG Holder using the Voting Rights Act to stop Texas from requiring a photo ID to vote. It seems the Obama Administration is twisting the reasons and the intent of our laws to institute wide open anarchy in the system we created over 200 plus years. My guess is the motive is the attainment of votes. I think maybe Obama will be trying a “amnesty” right before the election and his union pals are out there ready to register those folks as democrats. Now, I am generally not a person who thinks in a conspiracy mode but you have to add all this up. For every Texas or Arizona lawsuit in the public eye, I would guess there are hundreds of these intimating moves at the regulatory level. The Voting Rights Act, the EEOC and a million other monsters of regulation are at work under the radar. So, America will be stressed to the breaking point when all these folks who come here illegally flood the system and maybe Obama and his minions are counting on the unrest that may come about? With unrest comes a new set of powers for a government so full of itself and trying to REDO America?

   There is something about the Obama Administration that has really been bugging me. I am coming to believe that Eric Holder is of the Minister Farrakhan/Reverend Wright/Malcolm X school instead of the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. school of thought. First hint was the dropping of voter intimidation charges against the Black Panthers outside a polling place in Philly. Bush had them dead to rights on video no less, but AG Holder dropped the case like a hot potato. Then Janet (our homeland security czar) became eerily quiet on the illegal immigration issue. As Governor of Arizona she appealed to the Feds repeatedly for help and reimbursement for the soaring costs of incarceration of illegal criminal aliens. Now she is on the other side of the fence (pun intended)and snubs the current Arizona Gov. faced with the exact same issues. It was a non issue as long as drug lords killed and beheaded and kidnapped each other on the Mexican side of the border. But now the drug lords have reached into kidnapping and decapitating residents of Phoenix. There is a no mans land in Arizona that is well posted with big signs broadcasting it is unsafe to enter. Too dangerous for hikers or campers or researchers of the desert habitat to enter. And this is on US soil! Taking back our country has a new meaning as our Malcolm X/Minister Farrakhan disciple does not lift a finger. I am beginning to think that the young Jr. Senator from Illinois was full of crap in 2004 when he addressed the Keary’s Democrat Convention and said “There are no red states, there are no blue states, just The United States.” I am also beginning to suspect President Obama has joined Holder by rejecting the teachings of Dr. Martin Luther King and is truly a disciple of Reverend Wright and Black Separatist Theology. I sadly say this not because of Obama’s words, but rather because of Obama’s actions. Why else would he allow his administration to throw US citizens in Arizona under the bus? Politics is politics, but at some point one must put politics aside and defend the citizens and legal residents of the United States of America on US soil.

   It takes two to tango when it comes to the Great Divide. You’ve got one side on the prowl, attacking the other (in some instances justified, some not/overstated), and then you’ve got the other side enabling the other by ignoring the obvious, embarrassing and frequent Marie Antoinette behavior (stolen from the Internets, my apologies.):
   While dining on grass-fed New York strip steaks and white truffle mashed potatoes underneath a outdoor tent, Biden criticized Republicans for being out of touch.
   “These guys don’t have a sense of the average folks out there,” Biden said according to the pool report, “They don’t know what it means to be middle class.”
   What a dick. (Can I say that?) “Progressives” don’t get why Conservatives are so pissed off. I think they assume that they have some kind of dysfunction or are stupid. (my bets are on the latter) And it’s because of this patronizing, lording-over BS like this: we know better than you.
   Sorry for the bad language such as “Biden” and “truffle.”

   This video is great, as entertainment, complete with little Minuteman logo and patriotic theme song, but just another Limbaugh-like rant by a publicity seeking Tea Patriot.
   I did not hear anywhere in the video the Actual reason that the lawsuit was filed which is that, “the law requires police to question the immigration status of suspects when there is “reasonable suspicion” they are in the country illegally.” -USA Today
   I am surprised if you don’t see the similarity to the Limbaugh backlash by the Left and Lovell’s docudrama as a wild inflammatory backlash response to the US Gov. contention with a poorly written law that allows the police to stop and harras anyone based on looks, clothing, etc.
   I am sure there are plenty of Mexicans turned US citizens, or born US citizens who would take issue with being stopped just because they are “brown” while some “white” guy walks by.
   I don’t take issue with a foreigner in this country that is just here and respecting our legal system. The US law should allow for ID to be produced for employment, health care, education, DMV, etc.

   Yep, the left will never understand why we are pissed off. I prefer the word concerned, but choose your own adjective. Are we all racists, anti-Mexican, anti-browns skinned neighbors to our south? Are we wildly too nationalistic to our our peril? Sure, international affairs are not my cup of tea or expertise, neither is Federal law enforcement policy. But I know that Sheriff Joe Arpaio has been disparged, looked into, sued, investigated and had a microscope shoved up his rear by the Justice Department for daring to arrest illegal aliens, illegal criminals, and any one for failure to appear, be they citizens, legal residents or illegal residents. He is as about as color blind as they come. Don’t break the law in Mariposa County, Az or you will be issued pink underwear and green baloney and not be home for supper. The Justice Department is all over him as well as Sheriff in the above clip. I don’t know a lot about those Patriots or Militias that sat on the border to observe and report illegal crossings, but I do know their homes were raided by the current Justice Department and one dude was charged with weapons violations. They were followed, listened to, and torn a new one. Anything to shut them down. Better to turn a blind eye or the full weight of the United States government will come crashing down on your head. I have heard the Sheriff in the above clip appealing for help for months now and he is now the bad guy while he mourns for his slain deputy and his family. Mexico is our largest trading partner and we dare not piss off our neighbor. Like Todd, I usually don’t lean to conspiracy theories, but I heard years ago someday evil would be called good and good will be called evil.

    Paul, sorry, but if I was subscribing to Todd’s ideas you wouldn’t have to ask. I was mostly reacting to Billy T.
    In the case of photo ID for voting, what’s legal for Indiana should be legal for Texas.
    This is officially silly season. Obama will do nothing to anger his base and Republicans will not do anything to pander to Obama’s base.

    For the record, I will not debate the asinine contention that US law enforcement officers do not have the obligation to verify the identity of people they suspect as being aliens (let alone illegal aliens) in this country.
    And most certainly I will not condone arguments that such practice should be stopped because officials may make (Type 2) errors in asking for identification of people who have the atributes of millions of illegal aliens already in the country.

    From the 1940 Alien Registration Act:
    8 U.S.C. § 1304 Section E requires that “[E]very alien, eighteen years of age and over, shall at all times carry with him and have in his personal possession any certificate of alien registration or alien registration receipt card issued to him pursuant to subsection (d) of this section. Any alien who fails to comply with the provisions of this subsection shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and shall upon conviction for each offense be fined not to exceed $100 or be imprisoned not more than thirty days, or both.”
    Canadians, Norwegians and yes foreign nationals from Honduras need their paperwork handy.

    There will be always claims of, “Hey, I’m not a criminal. Shouldn’t the presumption be that I’m a good person?” And that’s a legitimate gripe.
    Well, the issue with the above code is how do we know who’s here illegally, and who’s not? Heh, do we say, “welp, I know one when I see one. You’re brown-skinned? Pull over.”
    hahahaha. NOT.
    You just can do that here in the USA. So we have to do it at logical civil checkpoints: elections, DUI checkpoints, traffic stops and at Lumberjacks during their pre-5pm dinner specials. (So you’ll have the pork chops and can I see your Passport) And as far as I know, the Arizona law required police officers to have another suspicion other than one’s citizen status prior to asking for their Federal papers. Civil Libertarians cried foul because they don’t trust the police, in some cases for good reasons.
    OK. Don’t like that? Then we have to change the laws to comfort civil Libertarians comparisons, and my deepest apologies for evoking this, to Nazi Germany. Stop all documentation checks.

    Ryan, I agree. We already have laws on the books that allow for ID checks. We don’t need legislation introduced by publicity-seeking politicians that result in more poorly written laws. Youtube videos by drama queens like Prof. Lovell don’t add to the discussion.
    Right here in River City we had a similar situation.
    Business owners and others in downtown Nevada City had grown tired of all the laid-back slouchers hanging out on the sidewalks and other areas, making it difficult for bonafide shoppers to get around.
    Law enforcement said they needed more “tools” in the fight against idle youth with attitude. The police said they needed citizens to file complaints before they could do anything. Some said there were already laws on the books to handle the problem.
    But the City Council came up with, basically, an anti-loitering ordinance anyway. That initiated a backlash against the ordinance. Some said it was too all-encompassing and gave the police too much power. Some imagined that the police would issue citations to everyone they saw who was not making forward motion on the public right-of-ways.
    Sooo, the City Council re-wrote the law, addressing the issues brought up by the citizenry, and all was well again.

    For the folks that say – “we don’t need any more laws” – did you also rail against cities like SF that passed “more laws” declaring that they would be sanctuary cities and actively work against the existing laws concerning illegal aliens? The existing US govt legal structure with illegals is currently a joke. If you are hiring folks and some one applies and they can’t speak any English and they don’t have any paperwork, but produce on a scrap of paper a SS number you are not allowed to check that number until AFTER you hire them. You cannot check first. Then you hire them and you check and it says the number does not match the name – good luck! If you then fire that person they will get a tax payer paid for atty that will sue the s###t out of you even though every one including the judge will cheerfully admit the guy is illegal. Let’s stop all of the BS and just admit that the libs want to admit anyone poor and stupid and prone to support the Dems and the conservatives would like to have the current laws upheld. If you don’t want to enforce the current law, then there are ways to change it. I notice that BO is constantly harping about needing to “reform” our immigration laws. He had total control over the govt for 2 years and did nothing. He has never stated what he means by reform. He has never asked for any specific reforms. He has never used his power as president to do anything to reform our laws. This is just a bunch of BS by the left. If we are not going to enforce the law, then just admit it.

    Scott. could not agree with your last statement more. We don’t need any new “immigration bills”, we just need to enforce the laws on the books. We have ways to convict a person of murder ten ways to Sunday and 50 laws about assault weapons, yet we write more laws. Enforce the friggin laws for once and then we can see how it is working. We won’t know cause we never have really enforced the laws on the books. Instead we say “there ought to be a law.” Hey libbies and grunt sandwiches, there IS a law on the books. What, did you all attend public schools are can’t read? Well, take the cotton out of your ears and put it in your mouths and you might learn something of value. Enforce the existing laws. They exist. No need to write more, cause you refuse to enforce the ones already written into law. Sure, the Hispanic vote is the fastest growing voting block and the Dems would love to add millions of them Roman Catholics to the ranks. Opps, Obama and the God haters have offended most of the Roman Catholics. Latinos like family values and are anti-abortion. Probably make lousy libs. On a lighter note, who is more tolerate?     Billy T, I think intolerance is an equal opportunity employer, but your link makes a good point regarding the Pew research. Just for the record, I do not support the overt efforts to destroy Rush Limbaugh. I also believe that people are free to say whatever they want to about Rush, and his advertisers should do whatever they feel is the best for their businesses and let the chips fall where they may.

    Would you mind posting some data to support the “one in three Arizona prisoners are Mexican Nationals” bit? Not that I don’t think something called “Patriot Network TV” is a reliable source. I’m sure it is. Google, however, has been vague on the topic.
