What a hoot. I never said anything about Enos but there he is whining about me again. Thornton attacks and calls us names and we ask him a couple of quesyions and he never answers them. I think the reasonable people on this blog know who is blowing smoke.
Why is it you lefty’s can call George a racist and a wingnut and other banes then cry when someone asks if you have an arrest record?

Every clubhouse needs a mascot. A youthful puppy, not too bright, yapping at everything and everyone who passes by. Juvenall fits the bill. Of course Greg Goodknight is a good choice for runner up.
What evidence would suggest the the Navy SEALS were only fighting for Republicans or only for Democrats? How’s the pride of modern physics and engineering doing these days in Japan? And those climate models that suggested extremes of weather, such as a rather large number of rather large sized tornadoes in such a short span of time? Are such sequences due to the indifference of chilling stars?

As seen from the record above (1may11 2112hrs) , I believe Mike Thornton came here to lambast me as a “racist” for calling ObL a raghead. The man apparently understands very little of what he is talking about, and he puts a ribbon around it with his (2may11 0953) comment accusing LarryW and me of demeaning and slandering Obama here, which has not occurred.
Racist, demean, and slander are complex notions that are often used inaccurately by the broad public. In this regard Thornton is definitely out of his depth on RR and would better find himself with peers on FUE’s blog to which there is a handy link in this comment thread. (Sarah, are you saying that FUE really stands for “fired Union editor”?)

Keachie your name calling is under attack by Steve Enos and Mike Thornton. Be careful they will complain. Or maybe not.
The Navy Seals fight for America and the policies we have in place. Many of the policies under Obama are a continuation of Bush policies. Since we had to listen to leftwingnut slams on Bush for eight years, I think you libs should now acknowledge that by implementing Bus/Cheney policies, Obama was able to order Osama’s death. Why can’t you liberals do that? Because you have a DNA strand that wouldn’t allow it. So, we give the continuing office of the President all the favor it has coming to it.

Meanwhile, back at the ranch. I invite considerations of the three points raised in my 1may11 2138 comment, to which I would add a question – To what extent will the responses to ObL’s death by various Muslim factions and organizations serve as a litmus test outing their real sentiments and intentions? For reference consider this WSJ piece.

Therefore Obama is not a Liberal, as reported by Juvenall.

As far as I know, no Democrat has ever called for a policy welcoming the bombing of American targets, at home or abroad, by foreign governments or by terrorist groups.
Can Todd Juvenall show evidence that there is such a Democratic Party policy in place, or ever even proposed?

George I think we will see the Islamo-fascists try and regain the momentum for a while. But with the turmoil in the Middle East, they may get a slapdown since the countries in turmoil have problems of their own right now. The Al Queda threat to blow up a city with a nuke does remind me of their hollow threats years ago whenever we took out some of their scumbags leaders like Zarqwai. The head chopper of that American boy. They were just blowing smoke.

Oh Todd, regardless of my, yours or George’s “work credentials”, “Raghead” is still racist terminology! And besides, you know what my work credentials are. You just don’t like them.
And since you brought it up, never having been “arrested” for a crime, isn’t quite the same as never having engaged in “criminal” behavior.
And as far as my other point is concerned, George and Larry have made it for me.
And BTW, George, American Muslim organizations have been on national media this morning condemning Bin Laden and praising his death. He and the Wahhabi Sect are not well liked in the general Muslim world. But they are quite well liked in Saudi Arabia and isn’t the the country where the Bush family enjoys long standing ties with the Royal Family?

But he was pouring over plans. He called off a bombing raid in March because he was concerned that they might kill Bin Laden, but not be able to prove it! he was also concerned that a bunch of woman and kids would get killed and they would be used as a propaganda tool. Mind you that the final raid preparations were taking place and Obama was cool as a cucumber cracking jokes at the press dinner.
You can hate him all you want, but he handled this thing as well as it could be done.

I liked the juxtaposition of Americans dancing in the streets last night waving American flags with the Palestinians doing the same thing celebrating the 9/11 attacks. The American liberals think the 9/11 attacks were our fault, we think the Arabs did it. Regarding the American Muslims now supposedly condemning the death of OBL, too late for me. They have a lot more to do before I believe they are sincere.
Regading the term “raghead”. I personally don’t use the term but what is it that Thornton and the rest of the leftwingnuts think is racist about the term. I have been called a cracker, a gringo and white bread and a few other terms. Even the local liberals try to attach anything different from their word dogma on race to make a white person a racist. It does fascinate me these self haters like Thornton try their best to wreck the country with their PC strategy and destruction of our economy (dredgers) then blame the right. It isn’t working and America is rejecting you and your strategies Thornton. Also, please clarify your arrest record for us, your comment was to cryptic.

Mr Thornton, you keep missing something here. No one is taking President Obama to task for his execution of ObL. All you see is commendations. That doesn’t mean that his other actions and presidential record now become acceptable.
Au contraire about the beliefs of Muslim Americans. Given their history in Europe and beginning now in America of spawning terrorists (specifically ragheads) to kill and maim innocents, that community will be very busy convincing us that they are not settlers on these shores. What they believe about me and mine is a function of their intellect and goodwill. I have made clear, but not accessible to all, what I believe about them.
Re my use of ‘raghead’, it is apparent that you are now sounding like a broken drum and beyond reasonable reach on this topic. Please take my advice, leave or contribute something substantial to this forum.

Since, George, you are not the arbiter of meaning for the term raghead, you have to deal with the history of the term, which is well defined above.
If you wish to redefine the word, then you need to specify that redefinition each time you use it. You apparently mean for the term to include only people who are terrorists, who have no intentions of assimilating into American culture in a peaceful and friendly manner, and who originally came from the Middle East and vicinity, and who claim to be Muslims.
How many people do you believe are in this country do you think met your criteria?
How many people do you believe are in this country who are from the Middle East and vicinity, claim to be Muslims, and are currently peacefully assimilating into the American culture?
Without making the distinction, you sound much like a historical figure whom you profess to hate, and with good reasons, and with plenty of company, including yours truly.

Mr Keachie, words undefined take their default meanings from acknowledged sources like a dictionary of repute. However, reasoned discourse allows one the ad hoc definition of words to either redirect, expand, or contract their meanings in different ways. My use of raghead appeals to the latter, and I provide a hyperlink to its defining essay whenever I newly introduce that appellation. This post follows that protocol.
Nevertheless, a barrier remains to understanding. The reader must have a mastery of English and a reasoning facility that still functions in order to grasp my use of the word. These pages have shown that to some, this barrier is insurmountable.
I’m not sure I understand the relevancy of your ‘how many people’ questions to my use of raghead; most certainly not enough to divert myself in seeking their answers. Perhaps you could amplify.
Please say more about the “historical figure” and how I relate to him/her.

So let me see if I have this right, George. If someone calls you on your use of racist rhetoric and you don’t like it, they have to either agree with you or “leave”?
So much for “freedom of speech”, I guess….
George do you really want to start a discussion about European/Christian persecution of Muslims and the repeated invasion of predominantly Muslim countries throughout the Middle East, followed by repeated military interventions in many of the same areas by the US?
And before you (and Todd) even go there, I’m not justifying terrorism. I’m simply saying that there is a historical context that needs to be acknowledged. May I also add, that when you and people like the Koran burning “pastor” engage in racist and degrading activities aimed at Muslims, you don’t help the situation and in fact make things worse. I don’t know why you seem to have such a hard time understanding this?

George, your “redefinition” lumps all Muslims into one category:
“We are in an ‘all in’ war between two civilizations – western civilization of the European pedigree, and Islamic civilization formerly of the Arabic and now of a broader pedigree. In their own words they declare that the west and Islam can no longer co-exist on this planet, and their intent is to prevail using every means available to them. To the world they have amply demonstrated the truth of their intentions.”
If you call a terrorist leader and a few followers a “civilization,” maybe you should reread “1984” and the sections on double-speak very carefully. Would you speak of a Tea Party “Civilization?” Civilizations generally have lifespans beyond any one human’s lifespan. See, e.g., Alexander the Great’s Empire.

Raghead the slur includes those who are not even vaguely Muslin. Sikhs also wear turbans, yet they are no more Muslim than george is.
Sikhism[note 1] (play /ˈsiːkɪzəm/ or /ˈsɪkɪzəm/; Punjabi: ਸਿੱਖੀ, sikkhī, IPA: [ˈsɪkːʰiː]) is a monotheistic religion founded in fifteenth century Punjab on the teachings of Guru Nanak Dev Ji and ten successive Sikh Gurus (the last one being the sacred text Guru Granth Sahib Ji). It is the fifth-largest organized religion in the world[3] and one of the fastest-growing.[4] This system of religious philosophy and expression has been traditionally known as the Gurmat (literally of the gurus). Punjab is the only state in India with a majority Sikh population.[5]
The principal beliefs of Sikhism are faith and justice, in Waheguru—represented by the phrase ik ōaṅkār, meaning one God. Sikhism advocates the pursuit of salvation through disciplined, personal meditation on the name and message of God. The followers of Sikhism are ordained to follow the teachings of the ten Sikh gurus, or enlightened leaders, as well as the holy scripture entitled the Gurū Granth Sāhib Ji, which, along with the writings of six of the ten Sikh Gurus, includes selected works of many devotees from diverse socio-economic and religious backgrounds. The text was decreed by Guru Gobind Singh Ji, the tenth guru, as the final guru of the Sikh religion. Sikhism’s traditions and teachings are associated with the history, society and culture of Punjab. Adherents of Sikhism are known as Sikhs (students or disciples) and number over 26 million across the world. Most Sikhs live in Punjab, India although there is a significant Sikh diaspora. Until India’s partition, millions of Sikhs lived in what is now Pakistani Punjab.[6]

It did not take long for vendors to start peddling their wares on the internet and street corners. Mostly Osama tee shirts and coffee mugs. My favorite so far is the tee shirt that says “Hey Osama, Tell Hitler We Say Hi”. Reading comments on national left wing blogs is scarey. Some say 9/11 never happened and others say Bush/Cheney should be shot for orchestrating 9/11, not Osama. Can’t believe these people share the air I breathe. I prefer the term “towel head” to raghead, which is a more apt description considering the PLO and the various tribal headgear, some which are quite colorful. For our more politically correct posters, perhaps the term “diaper head” is more palatable. Ouyr lefty cry babies should remove their dirty diapers and place them on their heads, which may be redundant since it is obvious that they have crap for brains. Have a happy day.

I think the left likes repeating the terms they consider slurs because they just plain like saying them. Closet racists I guess (based on their definition). The left is so fast to call and condemn their own country (or is it?), and so fast to take offense at anything that conflicts with their PC world. Keachie and Thornton have no room to point fingers based on all the crap they have written and the names they call people (Thornton and his group Sierra Fund fired all the suction dredgers). Do you really think that calling other people “fat” changes the facts here?
You guys talk so tough, but my guess is not a one of you would dare go up to a Black man or an Arab or a Native American and say any of the stuff you say about them on blogs like this to their faces.
And for you Todd, I stood face to face with dredgers and explained to them why I was doing what I was doing and I listened to them tell me why, according to them, I was wrong. You know why? because I’m not afraid of people who think differently than I do or who have beliefs other than mine.
You guys are down to, what? Todd is rehashing whatever he heard on Sean Hannity today and Bill thinks that he wins an argument because he calls people fat and other names.

Did we achieve our “manifest destiny” by being nice? Ask the Cherokee, Navajo and yes Maidu in our own neighborhood when you could get $20.00 bounty for a scalp. I challenge you to read American Holocaust by David Stannard before you cast judgement on the lack of niceness other cultures. The Muslims achieved their conquest of the Balkans in the 16th century. Our conquest of the Native Americans in the West was in the 19th Century.
