RR has reported the dismal results of surveys that show many of our political leaders are absolute dunces when it comes to knowledge about our form of government, geo-political events, numeracy, common sense, … . On the national fiscal crisis CNN reports –
“We have three branches of government. We have the House. We have the Senate. We have the President. All three of us are going to have to come together and give some.”, Charles Schumer, Senator (D) NY.
That the senior senator from a leading state in the Union, along with so many from the rest of our national political leadership, is that ignorant was reported in these pages here and with more here. Again, the real evidence is stuff that you can’t make up. Schumer’s office set new records in back pedaling the senator’s confusion on civic literacy.
