I don’t know about you, but I want Congress to sit as they have been for decades during the President’s State of the Union speech. This hooey about civility and bi-partisanship is more patronizing of the voting public by the ruling elites. Most of us know its faulty pedigree from the aftermath of the Tucson tragedy.
When the President speaks, I want to see who agrees and disagrees with his points. And this I can only do when members of Congress sit in their traditional seats segregated by party affiliation. Having everyone marbled regardless of their party gives me no information on the fine grain Congressional reception of the issues the President will bring up. This ‘let’s all sit intermingled’ kumbaya BS is better suited for those of a more tender age or mind.
