There is no visible improvement in the economy of Nevada County as a result of any of the stimulus packages that Washington is supposed to be redistributing to us.  Our left wing continues to cite all kinds of millions that are cascading into the county’s economy.  Their invisibility to the rest of us is papered over with all the hyped jobs “saved” which no one outside the propaganda factories in the land knows how to count.

Many hereabouts are also more than a bit confused about AB32 and Prop23 (search RR for more) – on one hand they hail the great benefit to our county from hoped for subsidized jobs, on the other hand they maintain that the legislation is not relevant to our community.  In either case they are sticking their heads in the sand or in the other place where the sun don’t shine.
