   I’m not one to question Obama’s place of birth. But, if it was determined he was not native born, I’ll assume he will have to leave office. Would that mean any legislation, executive directives, policies etc. become void, or just suspended until a replacement is named?

   Why would our government choose to enforce this detail when they turn a blind eye to much larger details? For example, isn’t congress required to “Declare War” before entering one (two)?
   p.s. I have always found it suspect that Barry Soetoro changed his name… only rock stars and actors legitimately change their name these days.

   Are you serious?
   It won’t go away because your Tea Party friends, and assorted Birchers, Ayn Rand groupies, Birther’s, Tenther’s and 911 Truther’s, who want a free 15 minutes in the limelight to get their message out about life behind the tin foil curtain, won’t let it go away.
   As evidenced by you bringing it up yet again here.
   The man has produced proof of a birth certificate from the Hawaii State Department of Health, witnesses, and at least two birth announcements published at the date of his birth; what the hell more can there be to proving someone’s legitimacy as a native?

   SteveF – I think the critics answer your question by asking that the documentation be shown to someone credible to the critics; it should be easy enough to do. As regards to all the other seals on Obama’s past, you may have an illuminating answer on that also.

   Steve the guy bringing it up was from the Deapt of Health but he no longer works there and that was part of his job. No doctor can be found to attest to his presence at the birth either, you mention witnesses, I’m not sure I know who they were, his grandmother said he was born in Kenya, I just don’t know what to believe.
   To get ANY job that requires any sort of degree I do think they would check that I really did attend Columbia or FSU or wherever I claimed and they would want to see classes and grades – not so here – all trancripts are sealed – every one of them – why?? I don’t have an answer, nor does it seem logical. We knew when Bush missed a weekend for National Guard for petes sake. We don’t or didn’t even know where he stands on issues before the election as he voted present on anything of substance, tough to argue with present.
   Just to say its ridiculous, which is about all the defense that has been given is a stretch. As for the birth annoucements they mean nothing other than somebody called the newspaper and annouced it. The birth cert itself that I looked at online along time ago just to see what it was all about is not sealed and you couldn’t get a passport with it.
   Granted he may have been born there and the BC might be there too, just nobody seems to able to produce a real one – I bet you could get a copy of yours within a couple weeks tops.
   The whole thing is just odd, thats why it won’t go away, any of it.

   This whole thing is most likely a diversion tactic to keep us titillated and unaware of other more important things going on. Reminds me of the amount of time, energy and public awareness put on say, perhaps Lindsay Lohan or Tom Cruise ……

    Excellent point Mr Nuff. You may have put your finger on how to cure a lot of problems – simply ignore them. Some would wish that Washington would have applied similar prescriptions to the economic downturn and healthcare, and now financial reform and climate change. You may be on to something here.

    I can show my full birth certificate with the official embossed state seal on it to anyone who asks. When investigated, all facts of my birth are available, not hidden. I held several clearances in the Air Force that Obama could not obtain with the short form Hawaii COLB presented as his birth cert. If it is ridiculous to question that COLB document it is thereby ridiculously easy to quelch the isue – show the complete certificate. One can only deduce that he doesn’t want to, for whatever reason, or does not have one.

    Why does this persist? Same reason the liberals think there was another shooter on the grassy knoll. Americans have always been suspicious of power and powerful people, There are some locals that still insist Bush and the Jews were responsible for 911. I expect there are some documents that Obama never wants released for reasons we may never know. The libs hacked Palin’s emails and went after her vociferously with lies and innuendos. She has freely released her information and the left then twists it into a false positive for their leftwing propaganda. Why would they do that? Because she is everything the left isn’t. Honest, intelligent, patriotic and likes business and less government.

    Dear Mr Enos:
    As George also asked Mr Frisch without response, forget the half assed birth certificate, why everything – all school records and everything else. By the way I cannot imagine that this was done on a whim after the birth thing came up, all this had to be set up way before the presidential run started – it took alot of time to close all this up very tightly as there have been no leaks – WHY. Who paid for Columbia and Harvard, no student loans, yet he was a poor little black kid? Why would you even think to lock up what classes you took? Has anyone in the country even thought of that or actually tried and been successful to do that?, I wouldn’t think it was even possible.
    George you have more degrees than you can shake a stick at – could you actually prevent anyone from finding the classes you took? I don’t know

    Every school has its own policy with respect releasing information on their students. My school – the University of California – has its own. I believe they will not release any information beyond degrees earned without either a court order or explicit permission from the student. Applying for jobs as an engineer, I have given such permissions to specific prospective employers, and have requested similar information from applicants I have considered hiring.
    For candidates for and holders of high public office, I think withholding the list of one’s courses taken is beyond the pale. That coupled with, in this case, no access to Obama’s writings makes the affair outrageous. On what were we supposed to evaluate the man, on the lies he told into a video camera? As we now know, it is then too late.
