She may have been Bob, but the video showed her delivering this from a podium with two teleprompters. I guess she didn’t want to get any of it wrong. The statement set up a lot of head-shaking and discussion by the pundits.

President Bush II cajoled his whips in Congress to use reconciliation to pass the tax cuts, with a lot less gnashing of partisan teeth.
Same ol’ same ol’. Yawn.
I agree that Pelosi is scary, but only in a Danielle Steele sort of way. As far as politicians go, I would put her and Newt in the same category of Annoying Politicians Who I Would Not Like To Hear From Anymore.
But using reconciliation to pass this health care bill–to prove once again that federal elections in America actually matter–well…I don’t have all that much trouble with it.
Pass the damn thing and let’s move on to the next imbroglio.

It’s amazing to watch the Dems take a good idea and turn it into a total disaster. If Nancy doesn’t watch out, she’ll find herself standing on a streetcorner in the Tenderloin peddling Trojans to transvestites.
She’s giving idiots everywhere a bad name.
